To Jason, to all involved, concerned (and obviously to those not so concerned):

My name is Victor Hafichuk. Jonathan is my son. He received the letter below through the Scouts connection.

From what I have read, Baden Powell had strong Christian ethics, convictions and values. These he incorporated into the organization he founded a little over 100 years ago. This is why, for example, that Scouts close their meetings with ceremonial prayer to God. I have no doubt that if Powell were still here, and discovered the kind of communication Jason has sent here to my son, you, Jason would be out of Scouts, if permitted membership in the first place.

Mr. Powell is not with us anymore, and much has changed. Scouts is not as it was originally, and secular laws have demanded changes in Scout philosophy and conduct, some of which are quite anti-Christian and anti-biblical. You, Jason obviously may not have a problem with that, according to this letter you sent.

I have no illusions that Scouts is any longer Christian, if it ever truly was, though it has some remnant signs that it had some Christian principles at one time. However, I am here today, my son is in Scouts, and I find your sense of humor to young boys not just unacceptable, but reprehensible. There are not that many steps more to pedophilia, as far as I am concerned. There is not one decent parent, Christian or not, who should not take the exposure of his or her son to this vulgarity seriously. To use Scouts as a platform for your ill sexual humor is disgusting. You owe every parent and child an apology.

Am I naive enough to think that Jonathan does not have exposure to these kinds of things, and that I can shelter him from it all? No. Neither am I foolish enough to think that I ought not bother addressing these things when they come up.

You end a communication of yours saying, “If you can’t laugh and have some fun, you might as well be dead,” or words to that effect. I want to tell you that Baden Powell did not depend on that kind of humor to enjoy his life. Nor do I, nor several others I know, nor many others I do not know.

But does it matter if all feel the way you do, Jason? In Noah’s day, they gave themselves to “laughing and having fun” along the lines of your suggestive letter. All but eight persons perished in the flood. In the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, it was the same judgment. Three souls of several cities survived. These cities were destroyed for their “laughter and having fun.” Yes, it is true that in God’s sight, if you have that kind of “fun,” you may as well be dead. And you will be, if you don’t repent. That goes for all those who agree with you, and find this matter at all trivial.

As for your recommended website, it is obvious that with your kind of humor and thinking, your website is worth no more. In fact, it recommends spiritualism, soothsaying and necromancy, all activities roundly condemned by the Creator of all. It is recorded in the Scriptures, and I would be more than happy to furnish the references for you if interested.

Jason, the Lord Jesus Christ was not at all about laughing and fun, and therefore neither are His followers (true Christians) in Whom He, the Same Person, dwells. He came to lay down His life for you, for me and for all of us, to deliver us from the kind of lusts you describe to young children in your literature. His life and Person were described by Isaiah as one of sorrows and grief, because of the state of humanity, including aspects such as those you display. He did not die in vain, and He did not die so that you could carry on in those things you think are necessary in order to enjoy life. Your philosophy is a very base and selfish one, destined for destruction, believe it or not. After being crucified by those who wanted to do their own thing, Jesus arose from the dead, at the end of three days, overcoming death itself, for our sakes. His true followers proceeded to lay down their lives, in preaching Him and the Good News (The Gospel), which He is. Many were willingly killed for their testimony, neither “laughing, nor having fun.”

He is Lord of lords, King of kings, and one day, every tongue and knee will glorify him, as the Holy Scriptures testify. Your knee too will bend, and your tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. This is true for all. Lest you should think that His true followers are a sorry, sober lot, let me correct you now. There is a joy, a peace, and a life which this world without Him cannot know, and which we who believe do have. It is unimaginably beyond the fun and laughter of this world, not to be traded for it anymore than one would trade riches for rags. As it is written:

The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

Jason, no ill will toward you, whether you are apologetic or not, but I do ask that you no longer communicate these kinds of things to my son, or for that matter, to any children. Am I asking too much of you to cease these vain pursuits of pleasure even with adults, and to begin to seek that which is good, and true, and holy, and honest, and pure, and virtuous, and Godly? It is the only way to go, as you will discover. As it is written:

Ecc 7:2  It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting; for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.

Ecc 7:3  Sorrow is better than laughter; for by the sadness of the face the heart is made better.

Ecc 7:4  The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of laughter.

Ecc 7:5  It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear the song of fools.

Ecc 7:6  For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool; this also is vanity.  AND,

A word of caution and excellent counsel from the same wise man that ruled a nation under God:

Ecc 11:9  Rejoice, in your youth, young man; and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

Ecc 11:10  Therefore remove vexation from your heart, and put away evil from your flesh; for childhood and prime of life are vanity.

I too was where you are now, and did as you. I really do wish I could have heard these words and heeded them in my youth. It did not happen. Little do we know at the time that as we sow, we surely reap, and the reaping of such things is to be greatly regretted. I know. On the other hand, the repenting of them brings great thankfulness and joy. That I now know as well.

As I lay on my bed, thinking about you, I feel this strong urge to grab you and squeeze you, because I can’t forget last night. You came to me unexpectedly during the balmy and calm night, and what happened in my bed still leaves a tingling sensation in me. You appeared from nowhere and shamelessly, without any reservations, you laid on my naked body…you sensed my indifference, so you applied your hungry mouth to me without any guilt or humiliation, and you drove me near crazy while you drained me. Finally I went to sleep. Today when I woke up, you were gone, I searched for you but to no avail, only the sheets bore witness to last night’s events. My body still bears faint marks of your enthusiastic ravishing, making it harder to forget you. Tonight I will remain awake waiting for you…

You fucking mosquito.

Tom from the mailing list replied:

Victor,

I don’t know who you are or what corner of the world you live in. I don’t even know how old your son is. If you were offended by this e-mail I can only determine that you must be living a very sheltered life. I agree that you may not have found it to your taste, but I am sure that you and your son have been exposed to a lot more explicit pictures and written matters through the media, T.V. shows, Films, etc…

We are living in a very liberated world and our thanks goes to the people who do not have any morals or values, then again this has been happening from the time of Adam & Eve. Our children are constantly exposed to Sex, violence,  alcohol and drugs to mention a few. Education primarily begins at home, schools, religious and youth organisations. They should also be educated by exposure to certain things in order that they can determine themselves how they want to live their life under the correct guidance.

FIRE and BRIMSTONE does not work any more. The era of being ruled by fear only goes on in third world and un educated countries. RELIGION has caused more misery and injustice in this world through out history than any thing else. People are killing themselves justifying that they are doing it in the name of God, when God said "Though shall not kill".

I am one of the people that you chose to label "not so concerned" about a trivial matter that you have taken upon yourself as a crusade—(that’s another good word, the beginning of Christians and Moslems hatting each other in the name of God).

I have four children of different sexes and age groups. I am proud to say that they are all well adjusted and have been working and studying in this world environment, none of them has defected to the other world and it was not done through your way of thinking but good and honest common sense.

If you want to use the Internet as your platform to preach the Gospel as YOU see it, a word of advice, do it where it is more effective, starting with the heads of Religious Organisations, Government and Media.

As far as BP and Scouting is concerned, it has never been just a Christian organisation, there are all different religions in it.,let me assure you that a lot more good has come out of it by having people in it with a balanced mind that can relate to the youth at their own level.

Don’t bother to reply as I am not receiving any of more of your gospel. Do not Judge others unless you want to be judged as harshly. If we had more Jasons, the world would not be such a bad place.

Incidentally, he was never the author, it was redirected like many others do and the word Jesus was not mentioned once in the so called sordid e- mail.

Last word of advice,  you can always block the address of any sender and website that may not be to your taste without wasting your time as I am sure I have in this letter.

Victor responded:

Tom,

Are you afraid of honest debate and "facts" as you put it? You fear the truth, Tom, and here is the explanation from God’s Holy Word, which is more than a mere history book as you put it:

Joh 3:18  He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
Joh 3:19  And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh 3:20  For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
Joh 3:21  But he who practices truth comes to the Light so that his works may be revealed, that they exist, having been worked in God.

So I was out by six years on the official founding of the Scouts. However, Scouts were already going before the official founding. So who is wrong? Fault me for that silly little statistic that has no bearing on the issue at hand, or comparison to your foolishness. The many ignorant and absurd assertions you made tower high in error compared to that statistical error of mine, including your other three corrections. I could easily prove it to you, but you are ignorant Tom, and what is worse, willfully so.

I do practise what I preach and that is why I wrote to you. Allowing your decadence to go unchecked would not be the right thing to do. The saints and prophets spoke up against evil and that is why the world hated and killed them. You are with those who hate and kill. Therefore, Tom, it happens to you. As it is written:

Rev 11:5  And if anyone will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone will hurt them, so it is right for him to be killed.

I have no doubt that your children are “well-adjusted,” according to your decadent standards, and you will surely see the fruits of that “well-adjustment,” hanging your head in grief and shame in the end. You are not the first. I have seen it several times before. Your children will not prosper, quite the contrary. Neither will you, nor do you now. This I know and declare to you. You know it too, and that is why you chafe at what I have to say.

Something is in my eye? Yes, I see a hurting and bitter man. I see that the pain could be taken away. I see that you would like to have it taken away, though you put on otherwise. How am I doing, Tom?

I also see that though you have not been reticent in using vulgarity in the past, you did not spell out this last word fully. Is that an indication that there’s a little light of hope shining there? I hope so. The Lord grant you mercy, and the grace to come through. I bless you, Tom, in the Wonderful, Almighty Name of Jesus!

Cameron on the mailing list responded:

Dear VictorHafichuk@aol.com,

I am sure that, most people DID NOT judge as you so well did, I thoroughly read through your E-Mail, which lacked NO belief in god, or better yet Jesus, I ask of you to please respect these words that Jesus spoke, for you are saying what, he has said, but you are demanding Jason repent what he did, but what he has done, is made a humorous joke. I therefore congratulate Jason, on that joke.

Where you have just completely thrown the bible at Jason, with no respect for using it whatsoever, I ask you now to send an apology to all people concerned, not yet have I seen, such hate before in my life, over what a word. Are you really a follower of God? Maybe you should re-read the hateful E-Mail, and write one less, lets say, ludicrous. I ask of you, now to send a short E-Mail to the people that have received this E-Mail. That would be gratefully appreciated.

A scout leader Mao (Jason) may be, does this say that he must forever, be at one with god. I also ask you what is your definition of the word ‘Fuck’, if you take it to an offence then why, wont you take the word, ‘Gay’ to an offence, what because it means ‘Happy’, words that have meanings are taken lightly, then why are, non-dictionary words taken lightly? The last thing that I will add is that, why must you make Christianity all dark and gloomy. I did not send this letter to, stop any one from teaching the words of god, but why must you shove them down people’s throats?

Very concerned,

Cameron

Victor replied:

Cameron,

If you had read my letter as thoroughly as you claim, your letter would not be so full of false assumptions and confusion of what I said and where I stand. It would do you well to read it several times. Nevertheless, I must tell you that unless you repent, instead of standing with wickedness, you too will be destroyed. This is not a matter of hatred, nor ill will, but truth. Jesus said those very kinds of things to those about Him, and later commanded His disciples to speak the same to the rest of the world. For example:

Luk 13:1  And some were present at the same time reporting to Him of the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.

Luk 13:2  And answering, Jesus said to them, Do you suppose that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans because they suffered such things?

Luk 13:3  I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

Luk 13:4  Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were sinners above all men who lived in Jerusalem?

Luk 13:5  I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

He went on to say to His followers: “As My Father has sent Me, so I send you.” His first word was “Repent,” and so I say to you. What’s wrong with repentance? Why do you have a problem with that, accusing me of “shoving it down your throat”? What’s wrong with turning from your sins to God and living a holy and righteous life, which He commands, rather than living in your own lawlessness, destructives, and hatred? Yes, it is you who hate, and not I. You hate God, you hate right, and you hate me as a result. If it were otherwise, you would not have written your letter.

The Christian life is not dark and gloomy, I don’t find it that way at all, but you prefer to have some kind of artificial, double standard of life, hanging on to your sins and foolishness while having God’s favor. It won’t do with Him. And you know it. That’s why you react.

Will you condemn me for obedience to Him? Part of your problem is that you don’t know Him or what He is like. You have a false and soppy concept of Him. You are ignorant of the Scriptures and of Him as He truly is. Cameron, He loves you, He loves Tom, He loves Jason, but your time is not to be continued in your sins and lusts of your flesh. He is done with that. I am telling you so. As it is written: “Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap.”

You take truth as hatred because you are confronted. I will not stand by and have Jason, or anyone else flaunt their vile lifestyles and philosophies, especially to my son and to other children with whom he has to do, without addressing such. Call it humor if you will. God calls it sin, and consider if He is laughing. Is God chuckling about Jason’s humor?  I happen to know otherwise.

I suggest you and Jason send those things to which I object to Scouts International Headquarters, as well as to his other superiors in Scouts. Let’s hear what they have to say about it. I would like to hear from them. Perhaps I should do it myself. I may. Someone in responsibility in Scouts should have already done so.

What? You ask ME for an apology, for speaking the truth and protecting children? You ought to be hanging your head in shame! Instead, you defend evil! You ought to be apologizing to me, to all the children, to their parents, and most of all, repenting before God. What great darkness and confusion with you, with Jason, with Tom!

I don’t hate you, or anyone. Nor does God. But what you do is certainly hated, and will not go ignored by Him. You stand for vile humor and indecency while I stand against it, and you want an apology from me? I don’t think so. I think you have things turned quite inside out.

Here is a sample letter of others who do not choose your vile ways:

Thank you, Victor, for expressing what we are all feeling… Hopefully this individual will take heed and discontinue this type of unacceptable behaviour towards our youth.

You think that God is removed, and doesn’t see and hate what you do? Think again, for your life. He is finished winking. As for your congratulating Jason for his doings, I am reminded of a passage in Scripture that quite addresses deeds of like spirit and conduct to yours:

Rev 11:3  And I will give power to My two witnesses, and they will prophesy a thousand, two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.

Rev 11:4  These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth.

Rev 11:5  And if anyone will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone will hurt them, so it is right for him to be killed.

Rev 11:6  These have authority to shut up the heaven, that it may not rain in the days of their prophecy. And they have authority over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.

Rev 11:7  And when they complete their testimony, the beast coming up out of the abyss will make war against them and will overcome them and kill them.

Rev 11:8  And their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Rev 11:9  And many of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will see their dead bodies three days and a half, and they will not allow their dead bodies to be put in tombs.

Rev 11:10  And the ones who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, and will make merry, and will send one another gifts, because these two prophets tormented those living on the earth.

You need to be very concerned, Cameron. God is not playing games.

Victor

And again:

Good Day, Cameron!

I had some other thoughts on things you said in your letter. First of all, you did say that you “did not send your letter to stop any one from teaching the words of God.”I would like to share those with you (both thoughts and words), and with those who have been involved in this affair.

You used the word “gay” as an example of the meanings of words changing, thereby defending Jason in his use of the “f” word. Consider that:

  1. “Gay” was once a clean word. According to the way it is now used, and according to God and the Scriptures, it no longer is clean, but abominable.
  2. The word you attempt to justify was a “dirty” word. It was commonly considered vulgar by all but the vulgar. Notice that while the word in question was and is known as “the ‘f’ word,” the word “gay” was never and is not now known as “the ‘g’ word.” There is a difference.
  3. There is an interesting law of nature. In this world, all things are decadent. Things eventually age, break down, wear out, and die. One never sees them improve permanently. Good food will turn to shit. I accept that because it is a reality. Shit will never turn to good food. You will never convince me to accept shit on my plate as food. Yet you expect me to do just that with your notions on the words under discussion.
  4. I use the word “shit” deliberately, to show you that it is not simply about the word to me, as you assume. Jason’s story was clearly suggestive, and clearly leading the reader to think thoughts of sexual encounter.

Is there something wrong with sex? Like everything else…fire, water, electricity, guns, etc., that depends on what is done with it. While we would not be around if it were not for sex, indiscriminate sex has caused many a tragedy and heartache. God therefore instructs us in all things, to do right, to rightly use and practise that which He has given us. He clearly warns us that abuse of our natures and gifts leads to death. Fornication (sex outside of marriage) has caused homeless and parentless children, and abortions of unwanted children. Fornication has produced venereal diseases, which have caused grief, and cost many lives. Fornication has also caused single mothers who have lived under stress to make ends meet and raise children at the same time. The children suffer many things. As well, people giving themselves over to the lusts of their flesh often end up seeking taxpayers’ sustenance through welfare, training programs, medical care, etc. Why should taxpayers pay for the consequences of someone else’s irresponsible pleasures?

Adultery is another form of illegitimate sex. It has led to hatred, financial havoc, violence, drug addiction, mental breakdowns, murder, and suicide. It too has led to illegitimate children, some growing up not even knowing who their true parents are! Adultery and fornication were punishable by death in the Old Testament. That was God’s way of demonstrating to His people the very serious and consequential nature of adultery. The seriousness has not changed over time.

You say: “A scout leader Mao (Jason) may be, does this say that he must forever, be at one with god.

We are all sinners, and we all must rely on God’s grace, I no less than any other man. Secondly, Jason, as a leader of young people who are children of others, has a solemn responsibility. I have at least two reasons to strongly object to Jason’s joke:

1) Plainly, he was not depicting sex within marriage, but passion outside of it. It was joking about sin, which to God is not a joke at all.

2) Jason was communicating to, among others, young boys (one being my son, for whom I am responsible), who are at an impressionable age and who are entering puberty, where care and responsible instruction and nurturing must be taken seriously.

Was it not Jason who sent the article, “Within My Power”? I think that he needs to pay closer attention to it. While I do not agree with some of the assertions in it, I do agree with some of the principles. Easy to look good, and pass off some nice words written by someone else, as though they were one’s own, but to live those is quite another matter.

Cameron we have a responsibility with what we are given, and that responsibility is a serious one, know it or not, care or not. These are therefore not matters even to joke about. Taking these things lightly flies in the face of God, Who will not tolerate it, and doesn’t. One way or another, the debt is paid.

You also ask: “Are you really a follower of God?

Yes, I am, and I speak on His behalf, because I love Him. I love Him because He first loved me. He loves you too, Cameron, and Jason. He laid His life down for you. He was not joking; He was taking no sin lightly. That which men have taken lightly has cost Him His life. His life was not laid down in vain, nor will men escape judgment by despising the fearful price He paid. Sober up, repent, get real, get holy, Cameron. It is required of you, and you cannot escape it. Pray for God’s grace. He answers such prayer if earnest. As it is written: “You shall seek Me and find Me, if you shall search for Me with all your heart.”

Think of it: does anything or anybody else deserve your allegiance, as does He? Has anyone else laid down his very life for you? Think about it.

I too am a Scout Leader and we here in Australia teach our kids with with a broad and open mind, if you can’t handle a simple joke than your life is a misery maybe you don’t know your child, my son comes home from school and tells me worse jokes it is the 21st century maybe you should live it, now I don’t want to see any more rubbish sent to my Scouts as I am very protective and stop filling my computor with shit

Victor replied:

Merv,

I reply to your letter.

If all that Australia can offer is your kind of morality and “broad and open-mindedness,” you are in a pitiable state, personally and nationally. How is it you are not broad and open-minded to God, to righteousness, to truth, to His laws and ways? You are indeed in great trouble, Merv, you and your house. Believe it; it is true.

As for your being a Scout leader, you are not a leader of anything, not even of a household, but a wretched sinner who will only destroy himself and his household in his “21st Century broad and open-mindedness."

You demand that I don’t speak the things I speak to children in Scouts because you are “very protective.” Of what? Them? I don’t think so. Protective of your sins, Merv, but not of those boys. And I am amazed that you can be proud of your son coming home with true “shit” while calling truth and goodness “shit.” How perverse! And you therefore make your son twice the child of hell you are yourselves.

Do you have a right to spew your kind of hatred and vulgarity to children, including those in our local Scouts group, some of whom are on this mailing list? And you have the gall to insist that what I say is wrong, and that I cease from speaking? If I had so much as a tiny hint that any of our Scout leaders here were anything like you in mind or spirit, my son would be out of there faster than an Aussie could take a chug of beer or swear, both of which you seem to be very good at, and good at precious little else. Let your words come upon you as the Lord sees fit.

You have a broad and open mind to evil, but supremely narrow and shut tight to good, Merv. How will you escape the judgment of God? You think He isn’t around? Watch! You are not fooling with a religious quack or puritanical idiot. I know what I’m talking about. I have been where you were, drinking, swearing, and fornicating with the worst of them, and repented of it, because God made Himself known to me. By His grace, and not by any virtue of mine, He saved me from my destructives. But you have never been where I am. So now who is more “broad-minded”?

Repent, and honor the One (Jesus Christ) Who paid for your wretched life with His. Despising that sacrifice, you will only destroy yourself.

In Christ,

Victor.

Merv wrote back:

This is my last E-mail to you than I am blocking your Shit.

In life yes I have sinned but I"M HAVING FUN which is something your not.

As for Jason and I being Leaders here we are not, to all the kids here we are GODS.

Victor’s replies:

The Bible and God’s testimony are clear: He will bring down all gods to the dust. Your fun is short-lived, Merv. I have not been writing you to condemn you. I have written you to address your sinfulness, and to warn you that you are destroying yourself. I had your fun, and paid the price for it. No thanks. Now I reap great reward and am very thankful. You will one day know the love of your Savior, Who died on the cross for you, because He loved you.

As to referring to His goodness toward you by my words as “shit,” one day you WILL hang your head in shame, shame over your “fun,” shame over your vulgarity and crudeness, shame over your failure to bring true godliness to your home, shame for your evil influence to all of society, shame for your wicked ways, shame for utterly wasting what precious little time you had on earth. You will mourn your ways, friend. I know. I think that deep down inside, you do too, and that is why you react. I don’t condemn you for it.

Victor.

I have more to warn you of, Merv.

You say you have sinned but having fun.

You apparently aren’t aware of the Scripture that says: “The wages of sin is death…”? So of what value is your “fun”? I too “in life have sinned,” and was “having fun,” but I now experience the second half of that verse I just quoted to you. The verse in full reads, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

Eternal life is not simply life without end, but life for the first time at the highest level we can have, full of joy, purpose, victory and peace. You don’t have that. You and your friends have death. The Bible says so. I say so. You say so! Why would you choose death over life? I will tell you why. Because you have never known life!

These communications are here for your sake, so that you CAN have life. All you have to do is believe, and be prepared to give up death, confessing yourself dead in sin, and repent of it! That’s all! From there, God will give you abundance of life, immensely more than you could ever have imagined or expected. I know. As He promised:

Joh 10:10  The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Joh 10:11  I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. AND,

Joh 6:37  All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will in no way cast out.

Secondly, in speaking of yourself and Jason as “Gods,” I was reminded of a passage in Scripture you might do well to heed, lest the same happen to you:

Act 12:20  And Herod was in bitter hostility with the men of Tyre and Sidon. But they came to him with one accord and, having made Blastus (who had charge of the king’s chamber) their friend, desired peace, because their country was fed by the king’s country.

Act 12:21  And on a certain day, Herod sat on his throne, dressed in royal clothing, and made a speech to them.

Act 12:22  And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god and not of a man!

Act 12:23  And immediately the angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give God the glory. And he was eaten by worms and gave up the spirit.

You are playing with fire, Merv.

Victor.

And replied to another complainer:

Charmaine, I address (in black) your address (in red), word by word, statement by statement:

To Victor, I am an innocent bystander in this “little war” you are having

There is a Scripture that goes as follows:

Eze 39:6  And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

God, in His Book, refers to His Word as fire. This Scripture speaks of how those removed from the “main action” would not escape His Truth and judgment. In other words, innocent bystanders are destined to be involved, like it or not.

You needn’t put the word “war” in quotations. It is indeed a war, in all reality, with more at stake than what we consider “real” wars. I take the will of God seriously. I have seen, firsthand, what it does when one does not. So have you. You just haven’t recognized it. You would do well to find out what it is, and to take it seriously too.

and would please ask that you remove me from your mailing list. You are being so silly over such a litle thing.  If the joke was not to your liking then you should have politely asked not to be sent any more, you sending letters preaching Gods word is just as offence to some as the joke was offensive to you.  Please do not send me any more.  Charmaine

By your judgmental words, you clearly demonstrate that you are by no means innocent. By “judgmental,” I mean that you judge the appearance of things without understanding and speak without knowing what you’re talking about. You therefore are not innocent, and judgment by the Word of God must therefore come to you, which it has, like it or not.

I was not only addressing a simple joke, but a social influence extended to not only my son, but also his friends and other Scouts. That influence needed to be addressed, and I addressed it. Without action taken, diseases spread.

Obviously, you did not have much of a problem with it, which shows all the more that people, including you, need to hear the other side, the better way, the way that God would much prefer. What followed was retaliation from those who have little use for God’s laws and decency. They think nothing of spewing their corrupting ways. I was not about to let it go by. They went public; I went public, and so you got the letter because your address was in their mailing list.

If you should be criticizing anyone, it ought to be those who stand for indecency, and not those standing against it. But you would rather choose dirty jokes, even if spoken in children’s ears, than the Word of God.

No doubt preaching God’s Word is just as offensive to some as the joke was to me. But while God does not send men out to tell dirty jokes, He does send them out to preach His Word. So who are you to criticize me for preaching His Word? You find yourself coming against God. Are you up to that, Charmaine?

Victor
