“Does this mean that by this faith we do away with the Law? No, not at all; instead, we uphold the Law” (Romans 3:31 Good News Bible).
Paul wrote to Sybil:
Greetings in the Lord Jesus Christ, Sybil.
I have been to your site and would like to ask you why do you not obey the second commandment of God?
“You shall not make a graven image for yourself, or any likeness in the heavens above, or in the earth beneath, or in the waters under the earth; you shall not bow to them, and you shall not serve them; for I am Jehovah your God, a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third and on the fourth generation, to those that hate Me; and doing kindness to thousands, to those loving Me, and to those keeping My commandments” (Exodus 20:4-6 Literal Translation of the Holy Bible).
Many say that while they have the images, they do not bow to them. But making or having images IS bowing to them according to the commandment, whether the bowing is done consciously or not.
Sybil, read Victor Hafichuk’s Testimony. Victor saw the Lord’s face, which is not possible or permissible for man to depict.
Paul
Sybil’s response:
I’m not quite certain about what you are refering to as you never said. You simply spoke about graven images. I do not live under the law but under grace and Jesus has set me free from condemnation. I’m not perfect just forgiven. Yes, I do write poetry and I also spend my days and nights helping those who are in witchcraft and satanism out. I think the souls of man are far more important than what one speaks against me. I never live under condemnation and I am sorry that you speak it forth.
Sybil
Paul’s reply:
Sybil, your web site is plastered in places with pictures of “Jesus.” I use quotation marks because those are graven images, not real depictions or representations of the risen Lord and Savior. You worship another “Jesus,” one of your own conception, an image created after the imagination of men.
I do not condemn you. You, in your lawlessness, bring condemnation on yourself, especially as you try to justify yourself in your sin. By your ways and your answer, you show yourself to have no love or use for God or the Lord Jesus Christ. Repent. You are the one who needs to be delivered from witchcraft and idolatry.
“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idol-worship. Because you have rejected the Word of Jehovah, He has also rejected you from being king!” (1 Samuel 15:23)
“Therefore whoever shall relax one of these commandments, the least, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. For I say to you that unless your righteousness shall exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the Kingdom of Heaven” (Matthew 5:19-20).
“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law” (Romans 3:31).
Paul
Sybil’s response:
You are placing yourself above the law and out on some tangent. I let God control my life and not man. A man get no converts and only saves himself with your attitude. A House Divided Cannot Stand!! In Your opinion no one is worthy. Jesus said all men are worthy but fall short. I stand in my love for Jesus Christ. Thanks, Sybil
Victor’s reply:
Sybil,
You have been “sold a bill of goods.” The “gospel” you have believed is “another gospel,” but not the one substantiated by Christ and Holy Scripture. It is the counterfeit that has snared many millions who have chosen the broad way and wide gate of “grace.” Those who have “led you to the Lord” are counterfeit ministers. We can prove it to you, but are you prepared to heed? Those who have eaten the poison of the false gospel have had their egos stroked, and have had their self-esteem “restored.” They have saved your flesh, which is condemned by God. Instead of identifying with Christ on the cross, that you might have the new life in Him, they have led you directly to the imitation throne of God, teaching you that you are worthy, which is a lie, coming from Satan’s gospel to deceive the world. No person is worthy. That we will also prove to you, if with your inflated ego, accomplished by the enemy through false teachers, evangelists and pastors, you are able to receive the truth and to repent.
Give us the reference as to where Jesus said that “all men are worthy but fall short.” While you try to find that passage, or any support for it, apart from the shed blood of the Lord, the cross, and beyond (in short, His worthiness), let me bring your attention to words of Jesus Christ that are quite contrary to your claim. Tell me if the following description is one of worthiness, or if it merely describes a “falling short”:
“As it is written: There is none righteous, no not one; there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they have together become unprofitable, there is none that does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open grave, with their tongues they have used deceit, the poison of asps is under their lips; whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their way, and the way of peace they did not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes” (Romans 3:10-18).
How worthy did John the Baptist, none other than the “Introducer” of the Messiah, deem himself? This is the one of whom Jesus said that he was more than a prophet, and the greatest of all men born of women. Here is how he saw himself, unlike you:
“And he proclaimed, saying, There is One coming after me Who is mightier than I, the thong of Whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down to loosen” (Mark 1:7).
How worthy did the centurion of great faith deem himself to be, unlike yourself? Read:
“Therefore neither did I think myself worthy to come to You; but say a word, and my servant will be healed” (Luke 7:7).
Sybil, you have yet to “come to your senses.” Here is an example of another who finally did so, and declared the following:
“Finally, he came to his senses. He said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more food than they can eat, while I’m starving to death here? I’ll go at once to my father, and I’ll say to him, ‘Father, I’ve sinned against heaven and you. I don’t deserve to be called your son anymore. Make me one of your hired men'” (Luke 15:17-19 God’s Word).
In all of heaven itself, who was worthy to even look at the book, much less open and read it, least of all to loose the seven seals thereof? Read:
“And I wept very much, because no one was found worthy to open and to read the book, nor to look at it” (Revelation 5:4).
If perchance you have found yourself to have done your duty, should you count yourself therefore worthy?
“So likewise you, when you shall have done all the things commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants, for we have done what we ought to do” (Luke 17:10).
You have been deceived by such as described herein:
“For such ones are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. Did not even Satan marvelously transform himself into an angel of light? Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works” (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).
Do you indeed “stand in your love for Jesus Christ”? Your teachers have caused you to think so, by praising you and making you believe in “another Jesus” (2 Corinthians 11:4), and not in the true Lord Jesus Christ, Who said:
“He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him” (John 14:21).
The Lord Jesus Christ also said:
“Therefore whoever shall relax one of these commandments, the least, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven” (Matthew 5:19).
By your example and your heedlessness, you are teaching lawlessness. Truly, you are breaking every law in the Book, as James said. The Bible teaches that the law is for the lawless, Sybil (1 Timothy 1:9). You are demonstrating lawlessness. Therefore the law is for you. Those who are stiff-necked and proud resist the law, thereby perishing.
You presume to be delivering people from Satanism and witchcraft but we, as true servants of the Lord Jesus Christ, can tell you that you are yet in need of deliverance yourself. How can a prisoner in chains free others? Apparent results are superficial and deceptive. In your proud spirit and attitude, cultivated by your spiritual leaders, devils play their games with you. As it is written:
“Jehovah shall cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaks proud things” (Psalms 12:3).
“Blessed is the man who makes Jehovah his trust and does not turn to the proud, nor to those who turn aside to a lie” (Psalms 40:4).
“You have rebuked the proud who are cursed, who go astray from Your commandments” (Psalms 119:21).
“Though Jehovah is high, yet He has respect to the lowly; but the proud He knows afar off” (Psalms 138:6).
“Everyone proud in heart is hateful to Jehovah; though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished” (Proverbs 16:5).
“It is better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud” (Proverbs 16:19).
The day of which Malachi prophesied is here now:
“For behold, the day is coming, burning like a fire pot; and all the proud, and every doer of wickedness, shall be chaff. And the coming day will set them ablaze, says Jehovah of Hosts, which will not leave root or branches to them” (Malachi 4:1).
Judging by your reaction and knowing you by your fruits, I expect that you will throw all this back in our faces, Sybil. Nevertheless, we speak the truth, know whereof we speak, warning for your sake and the Lord’s. Share this letter with your spiritual leaders, and let them comfort and encourage you in your pride and sin. See your end and theirs if and when you do so.
It is you who are guilty of “opinion” and not we. Our ministry of God is not to give our opinion but to preach the Truth in Him, as He has given us to do. We dare not preach our opinions concerning the Lord and His will, because we are not entitled to them.
We await the references of your quoted words Jesus was to have said. More desirable, and beneficial for your sake, would be repentance and salvation. If, instead of dismissing us, you receive the whole series of The True Marks of a Cult, you may learn something valuable. You may hear the truth, as supported by Scripture, for the first time, it being quite contrary to that which you have heard and believed. By the truth, you will be made genuinely free, and brought into the true grace you presume to possess, provided there is any repentance from yourself, within yourself, by the grace of God.
