False Teacher – Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov

Man Mistakes Himself for God

Omraam the Omnipotent or Impotent?

One in a long line of teachers of the “god within.” Paul responds to a woman promoting the practice of realizing the inner “Christ” without submission to the One without, the Real One from Whom man is separated by his sins.

“I said, You are gods; all of you are the sons of the Most High: But you will come to death like men, falling like one of the rulers of the earth. Up! O God, come as judge of the earth; for all the nations are your heritage” (Psalms 82:6-8 BBE).

We received this note:

Hi, Paul and Sara. I enjoyed our spiritual exchange and wish to thank you by sending you a copy of a thought for tomorrow from a teaching of Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov. It seems to speak to all three of us as we go forward looking to contact and enlighten people along life’s path.

I mentioned Aivanhov but forgot to offer you these free daily meditations from his organization prosveta.com. As a gift from my heart to yours, and to help you decide whether you want to buy his books, I signed you up to receive these meditations. You can simply go to the bottom of any email and cancel receiving these if they are not for you. For me it’s food from heaven.

Love and light to you and your path.

Patricia

Omraam’s Thought of the Day:

“When people are hostile towards you and you would like them to change their attitude, work first on changing yourself. You must not go against others in an attempt to make them change their behaviour. They will change only when they sense that you yourself have changed, that light, goodness and peace emanate from you. It is by working on yourself that you compel others to change.

You must first conquer your inner enemies, and then by force of example you will succeed in conquering your outer enemies. It is clear that dissension and criticism lead nowhere, so each time a difficult situation arises, begin by adopting the proper attitude. You will then have plenty of time to get back at others, but with the light and omnipotence of love.”

Mikhaël Aïvanhov

Paul’s reply:

Hi Patricia,

You are not going to like what I have to say. But if you think I am hostile and would like to see me change, then you can take the advice of Omraam and work on changing yourself. For my part, I will continue to believe the Holy Scriptures and the Lord Jesus Christ, Whom Omraam does not know or understand. They are as different as day and night. I will show you how, for your benefit.

Omraam writes: “You must not go against others in an attempt to make them change their behaviour. They will change only when they sense that you yourself have changed, that light, goodness and peace emanate from you.

Will they? Jesus Christ, Who came as the Light, Goodness, and Peace of God incarnate, was crucified by those to whom He testified. Why did not men “sense” what He was all about, and change? Oh, but they did “sense,” and here is what Jesus said about what they “sensed”:

“The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify about it, that its works are evil” (John 7:7 EMTV).

John, the beloved apostle, put it this way:

“And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness more than the Light, because their works were evil” (John 3:19 EMTV).

The reason Omraam’s testimony does not agree with Christ’s and reality is because he is a lover of darkness, on account of his works being evil. He is preaching the power of unregenerate flesh, teaching you to remain in your sin, separated from God, as he is. There is no room or need of the Savior in the gospel of Omraam. You are your own, and you are on your own. You are expected to lift yourself by your own bootstraps. He says:

It is by working on yourself that you compel others to change.

What did Jesus teach about “working on yourself,” and what you could expect to accomplish?:

“And which of you by taking thought is able to make himself any taller? If, then, you are not able to do even that which is least, why are you troubled about the rest?” (Luke 12:25-26 BBE)

And:

“Then Jesus answered and said to them, Most assuredly I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father doing; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner” (John 5:19 EMTV).

Omraam writes:

It is clear that dissension and criticism lead nowhere, so each time a difficult situation arises, begin by adopting the proper attitude. You will then have plenty of time to get back at others, but with the light and omnipotence of love.

Jesus Christ, the Light and the Love of God incarnate, dissented from the religious of His day and criticized them thusly:

Matthew 23:13-33 EMTV
(13) But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.
(14) Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the Kingdom of Heaven before men; for you do not enter, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
(15) Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you travel around land and sea to make one proselyte, and whenever he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you.
(16) Woe to you, blind guides, who say, “Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, is obligated.”
(17) Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?
(18) And, “Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, is obligated.”
(19) Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?
(20) Therefore he that swears by the altar, swears by it and by all the things on it.
(21) He that swears by the temple, swears by it and by Him Who dwelt in it.
(22) And he that swears by Heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him Who sits on it.
(23) Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you pay tithes of mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the more important things of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These things you should have done, and not have neglected the others.
(24) Blind guides, you who strain out a gnat, but swallow a camel!
(25) Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and unrighteousness.
(26) Blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and dish, so that the outside of them may be clean also.
(27) Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and of all uncleanness.
(28) Thus also you outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
(29) Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous,
(30) And say, “If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.”
(31) So that you testify against yourselves that you are sons of those who killed the prophets.
(32) And you, fill up then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt.
(33) Serpents! Brood of vipers! How shall you escape from the condemnation of hell?

Is it true that Christ did not have a proper attitude, as Omraam suggests? Or is it Omraam that is mistaken in his attitude, thinking, and speech, because he does not recognize righteous judgment? In telling you and Omraam your faults in what you teach and believe, I am speaking Christ’s righteous “dissension and criticism,” which you can believe does indeed “go somewhere.” The Lord does not speak in vain. Therefore, speaking by the Light and Love of God, the onus is not on us to adopt a proper attitude, but on you and Omraam to repent.

Omraam speaks as if you have God’s wisdom and love within you. But here is the testimony of Christ, Who is God, about what is in you and Omraam:

Romans 3:10-18 EMTV
(10) Just as it is written: There is none righteous, no not one,
(11) There is none who understands; there is none who seeks God.
(12) All have turned aside; together they became unprofitable; there is not one doing kindness, there is not so much as one.
(13) Their throat is an opened grave; with their tongues they deceived; the poison of asps is under their lips;
(14) Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
(15) Their feet are swift to shed blood;
(16) Ruin and misery are in their ways;
(17) And the way of peace they did not know.
(18) There is no fear of God before their eyes.

“The fear [reverence] of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10 GW). How can we expect to find wisdom and love in such as God describes man to be, altogether without understanding and sold out to evil? This would include you and Omraam, who evidently have no fear of God. What you are teaching others to find within themselves is an imitation, a surrogate and false wisdom and love. What Omraam says is a lie. He has it backwards here:

Love and wisdom give birth to truth in the world, which is the birth of a new consciousness, the birth of the Christ.

How foolish to think that mankind, which is void of wisdom and love, can birth truth and Christ! We are not God’s father! It is Christ Who births whom He will. The Scriptures say this of Him:

“But as many as received Him, He gave them the authority to become children of God, to those who believe in His Name; who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13 EMTV).

Jesus Christ is God, not you, or Omraam, or any other. Those born of Him will testify so. Those who are not born of Him testify of themselves, as does Omraam. He is one more in a long line of imposters, teaching nothing new, and you follow him because you do not have a love of the Truth. You need to repent, Patricia, and to come out of your unreality and false spirituality.

The same goes for those at Prosveta Publishing [to whom we had also sent this letter]. You are spreading spiritual poison all over the place, after consuming it yourselves and getting high on it. It is time to sober up and face reality. There is a great fire rushing towards you that will utterly consume all that you think to have gained in your works, which are manifestly declared evil by the light of God.

Preaching the resurrected and living Christ, Who is not a neutral energy in the hands of men, but the Lord God, Who rules over all, with all men in His hands, purchased by His blood,

Paul

Patricia’s reply:

Thank you, Paul, for taking the time to respond.

Omraam is speaking of universal laws–how God designed the universe and its workings. He is saying that truth can not be known by us as long as we are divided in our heart, head and hand; intellect, emotions and will.

Just check it out with an experiment in your own life. What happens to you when your heart wants one thing and your mind wants another? You are divided in your being, there is a warring in your members.

As a child I loved the phrase Paul said, paraphrasing, “That which I would do, I do not, and that which I would not do, I do.” It’s the age old human vs. the divine within, the little me vs. the Christ trying to manifest where you are. Even Christ, and even God, can not interfere with man’s free will. It is against God’s laws, which is a good thing; otherwise, we would simply be robots, wouldn’t we?

But when we begin to consciously weigh our thoughts with our emotions to see if they are wise and we should proceed, we generally don’t step in the you know what and mess up our lives. Check it out for yourself. Basically it is how life works. And it works the same for everyone because we ARE one.

Jesus can show you the way but he can’t do it for you. As a man sows… If you plant carrots, you get carrots. If you plant negativity… Whatever you plant, that you WILL get. God’s laws works the same for all of us.

If you love and support someone, they love you. If you judge and condemn someone for not thinking as you do, they withdraw from you. Is this how it works in your life? Think about it. Love is the key, and Jesus came with two messages: the message of forgiveness, and the message that God is a loving God. Wow! How profound these are.

Go in peace, brother, and let us agree to disagree. Patricia

Paul’s reply:

Hi Patricia,

I also thank you for responding, and am thankful that you have spoken your objections. Where there is expression that is contrary to the Gospel and Scriptures, the light can more directly be shone on the error, to the benefit of all. I do allow that you may disagree; we are not here to force or strive, but I will also answer that which is answerable and in error. As you have asked me to consider things, I do likewise with my reply that follows.

The basis of our disagreement is that you depict a false Christ, Patricia, one that is neither God nor real. It is a devil coming to you as an angel of light, as they are wont to do:

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:13-14 EMTV).

Devils come to rob and steal. But of the true Lord Jesus Christ it is recorded:

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 EMTV).

I began to show you in my last letter how the Christ of which you speak is antithetical to the authentic Christ. In this letter you say:

Even Christ, and even God, can not interfere with man’s free will.

That is a lie altogether. Hear what God and His Christ have said:

“A man may make designs for his way, but the Lord is the Guide of his steps” (Proverbs 16:9 BBE).

“The king’s heart in the hands of the Lord is like the water streams, and by Him it is turned in any direction at His pleasure” (Proverbs 21:1 BBE).

You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you may ask the Father in My Name He may give to you” (John 15:16 EMTV).

Why did Jesus say to His disciples that they did not choose Him, if not because they could have thought they chose Him, not realizing that all the time, He had chosen them? So it is with all of us. We think we choose this or that, but where did the choice originate? And while we may choose, can we do anything we choose? Some say we can, but eventually find they must retract their assertion and re-assess the validity of their convictions and “knowledge.”

No one can come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me should draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:44 EMTV).

Free will is the gospel of Satan, who would have you believe that your life is your own, and that you have power over it as you choose for yourself. Here is how effective your “free will” is:

“And which of you by taking thought is able to make himself any taller? If, then, you are not able to do even that which is least, why are you troubled about the rest?” (Luke 12:25-26 BBE)

You will grow old, wrinkly, weak, and crotchety, your senses will diminish, and your mind will become feeble, forgetful, and slow, if not quite useless altogether. You will become highly dependent upon others, and then die, your body to rot and to be eaten by worms. Is that your will? While Jesus Christ created all things, you, at the height of your powers, cannot even copy one hair of what He created! And you have a free will? “How free?” is the question then.

Free will denies the absolute sovereignty of God in Jesus Christ. It is the biggest lie there is, or ever will be. By free will you deny God’s right, which He purchased through His blood in Christ, to do with you as He pleases. You are in the independence of Eve, who ate the forbidden fruit, had her eyes opened to see that she was as God, and was thereafter separated from Him. Free will says to God, “Who are You to tell me what to do? I will do what I think is right and what I want to do! I choose to be as God myself!” The very thought is ludicrous, yet resides in the nature and heart of every human ever born, except in the case of Jesus Christ when He took upon Himself the form of a man for our sakes. Can you take upon yourself the form of God for His sake or anyone else’s? People have tried and failed. Free will? Hardly. Are we all then robots or automatons? No. There is a distinct difference, and that is another subject. [Note to readers: For more on this, read Whose Will Is Free?]

You have the freedom to choose, but do you have the freedom to do? Consider that you have the freedom to choose, so that you may experientially discover that you do not have the freedom to do.

Until born again of the Spirit of God, Patricia, you have absolutely no choice but to serve sin (rejection of God and the repudiation of His Law). What else is to be expected from those separated from the Holy Spirit? You may be pricked by your conscience, through your knowledge of good and evil, but you are dead to the righteousness of God in Christ. You are serving the law of sin and death (the state of separation from God and powerlessness to be as Him).

Paul the apostle, to whom you refer, spoke of his dilemma of choice that came after receiving the Spirit of God, when he was alive for the first time. Before that he was dead, though perfect in keeping the Law of God, according to the outward man.

“I am indeed a Jew, having been born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but having been brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, having been educated according to the exactness of the Law of our forefathers, being zealous for God just as you all are today” (Acts 22:3 EMTV).

Regarding which, he also said:

“…with respect to righteousness which is in the Law, blameless” (Philippians 3:6 EMTV).

Paul did not know of his sin and shortcoming until after he came alive by the Spirit of God, and there was a contrast of natures. You are speaking from the earthy nature, which, though made in the image of God, is corrupt. I do not tell you these things because you will understand, but to plant the truth in your soul against your presumption and error. You are not in the same position as Paul, or as any saint that has been born again of God.

Again, you condemn the Lord Jesus Christ by your sayings:

If you love and support someone, they love you. If you judge and condemn someone for not thinking as you do, they withdraw from you.

I have already addressed this. If this saying is true, then Jesus Christ was the biggest failure of love that ever lived, seeing that not only did His enemies crucify Him, but His friends abandoned Him.

One is wrong, Patricia; either Jesus Christ or you. I know He is right, because He changed me from an enemy to His friend. I too denied Him and fled, but now, by His Spirit and grace, I stand with Him, while the world, on whose behalf you speak, says, “I do not agree. Do not speak to me of Him, or of His righteousness. I have my own, thank you.”

Wisdom is justified of all her children. It is written:

“Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful” (Proverbs 27:6).

Speaking the truth as a friend, because the Friend of all mankind has wounded me and made me His,

Paul
