And perhaps for the more serious ones, going to the lexicons for deeper insight.

However, as I’ve discovered from Bible scholar Micheal Heiser, cultural context is every bit as (and often time more) important the other Scriptural contexts.

He created a short video worth the watch caaled “The Bible Was Written FOR Us But Not TO US”:

This revelation is a perfect example of exactly that – the ““Let him that is without sin cast the first stone” being specific to the the accusers of dirty hands and unclean hearts at that very moment.

Although probably moot in the grand view of things, I am still more than a little curious as to why the male participant of said adultry was not also called out… The things that make you go “Hmmm”.
