The Good News

The Abridged Version

Why would God start a project wherein He knew that the vast majority of mankind would end up being forever fearfully tormented, without cessation? What purpose would that serve? I know the general, well worn and conventional arguments, born out of reasonings, and not out of “rightly dividing the Word of Truth,” about our having been created with a free will and all, so don’t give me those.

I would like you to consider that Jesus Christ, and not the Lake of Fire, is the Omega, that He will finish the work He began, with total success, by His sacrifice; that He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, that no man seeks after God, that no man can come unto the Son except the Father draws him, that all men are in bondage to sin, therefore without a free will, that it is He that causes one to will and to do of His good pleasure; that His hand is not shortened that He cannot save, that nothing has yet resisted His will, that the children of Israel were cast off for the sake of the Gentiles, that the Gentiles will come in, and all Israel will then be saved, that He will save all of the first Adam, for whom He came and died (as in Adam all men died, so in Christ shall all be made alive); that all nations will come and worship Him, that every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, which they can only do by His Spirit, that besides the elders and the 144,000, there is a multitude that no man can number, no, not with computers, dressed in white, worshipping, that all flesh shall see the salvation of God, that we will all have great and true reason to rejoice, because God does all things well. Now that, my friend, is the Good News.

The Full Version

Many of us have heard what is commonly preached as “the Gospel,” meaning “the Good News.” It says that while Jesus Christ came and died for sinners, and was raised from the dead to overcome death for us (which is indeed truly wonderful news), we must somehow avail ourselves of that supreme act of love. According to the prominent evangelical world, which claims to preach the Biblical truth, very few will end up in Heaven. The vast majority, they say, will go to Hell and burn in a literal fire forever, time without end. Friends, that is not good news at all! Firstly, the onus is upon us to do something, a something of which we are entirely incapable or we would not need a Savior in the first place. Secondly, we are already told, in advance, that very few of us will make it. So, then, even if we could do it, we would have to lose approximately 19 out of 20 of our family and friends for all eternity. What is so good about that news?!

So I ask you: Why would God start a project wherein He knew that the vast majority of mankind would end up being forever fearfully tormented, without cessation? What purpose would that serve? I would like you to consider:

That Jesus Christ, and not the Lake of Fire, is the End, the Last, the Omega:

Revelation 1:8 KJV
(8) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 21:5-6 MKJV
(5) And He sitting on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said to me, Write, for these words are true and faithful.
(6) And He said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who thirsts I will give of the fountain of the Water of Life freely.

Revelation 1:11 KJV
(11) Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last….

1 Corinthians 15:24-28 MKJV
(24) Then is the end, when He delivers the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when He makes to cease all rule and all authority and power.
(25) For it is right for Him to reign until He has put all the enemies under His feet.
(26) The last enemy made to cease is death.
(27) For He put all things under His feet. But when He says that all things have been put under His feet, it is plain that it excepts Him Who has put all things under Him.
(28) But when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subject to Him Who has subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all things in all.

That He will finish the work He began, with total success, by His sacrifice:

1 Thessalonians 5:24 MKJV
(24) Faithful is He Who called you, Who also will do it.

Romans 5:10 MKJV
(10) For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Hebrews 12:2 MKJV
(2) Looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God.

John 4:34 MKJV
(34) Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of Him Who sent Me and to finish His work.

Isaiah 53:10-11 MKJV
(10) Yet it pleased the Lord to crush Him; to grieve Him; that He should put forth His soul as a guilt-offering. He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the will of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
(11) He shall see the fruit of the travail of His soul. He shall be fully satisfied.

That He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance:

Luke 9:56 MKJV
(56) For the Son of Man has not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save. And they went to another village.

2 Peter 3:9 KJV
(9) The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Matthew 9:36-38 MKJV
(36) But seeing the crowds, He was moved with compassion on them, because they were tired and scattered like sheep having no shepherd.
(37) Then He said to His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few.
(38) Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest that He will send out laborers into His harvest.

Jonah 4:11 MKJV
(11) And should I not spare Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than a hundred and twenty thousand men who do not know between their right and their left hand, besides much cattle?

That no man seeks after God:

Romans 3:10-11 MKJV
(10) As it is written: “There is none righteous, no not one;
(11) there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God.”

Psalms 14:2-3 KJV
(2) The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Micah 7:2 KJV
(2) The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

That no man can come unto the Son by his own choice and ability:

John 6:44 MKJV
(44) No one can come to Me unless the Father Who has sent Me draw him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

Matthew 16:15-17 MKJV
(15) He said to them, But Who do you say I am?
(16) And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
(17) Jesus answered and said to him, You are blessed, Simon, son of Jonah, for flesh and blood did not reveal it to you, but My Father in Heaven.

Isaiah 53:1 KJV
(1) Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

That all men are in bondage to sin (therefore without a free will):

Romans 3:9 MKJV
(9) What then? Do we excel? No, in no way; for we have before charged both Jews and Greeks all with being under sin.

(34) Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever practices sin is the slave of sin.

Jeremiah 10:23 KJV
(23) O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Psalms 22:29 MKJV
(29) …and none can keep alive his own soul.

That it is He Who causes one to will and to do of His good pleasure:

Romans 8:20-22 MKJV
(20) For the creation was not willingly subjected to vanity, but because of Him Who subjected it on hope,
(21) that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
(22) And we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.

Genesis 6:5 KJV
(5) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Genesis 20:6 MKJV
(6) And God said to him in a dream, Yes, I know that you did this in the sincerity of your heart. For I also withheld you from sinning against Me. Therefore I did not allow you to touch her.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 KJV
(26) A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
(27) And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them.

(3) Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

Proverbs 16:9 KJV
(9) A man’s heart devises his way: but the LORD directs his steps.

Philippians 2:13 MKJV
(13) For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

That His hand is not shortened that He cannot save:

Isaiah 50:2 KJV
(2) Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is My hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at My rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.

Psalms 139:7-12 MKJV
(7) Where shall I go from Your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your presence?
(8) If I go up into Heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
(9) If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the furthest parts of the sea;
(10) even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.
(11) If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me, even the night shall be light around me.
(12) Yea, the darkness does not hide from You; but the night shines as the day; as is the darkness, so is the light to You.

Isaiah 59:1 KJV
(1) Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

Revelation 1:18 MKJV
(18) And the Living One, and I became dead, and behold, I am alive for ever and ever, Amen. And I have the keys of hell and of death.

That nothing has yet resisted His will:

Jeremiah 18:6 KJV
(6) O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.

Romans 9:19 MKJV
(19) You will then say to me, Why does He yet find fault? For who has resisted His will?

Romans 9:15-21 MKJV
(15) For He said to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
(16) So then it is not of the one willing, nor of the one running, but of God, the One showing mercy.
(17) For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “Even for this same purpose I have raised you up, that I might show My power in you, and that My name might be declared throughout all the earth.”
(18) Therefore He has mercy on whom He will have mercy, and whom He will, He hardens.
(19) You will then say to me, Why does He yet find fault? For who has resisted His will?
(20) No, but, O man, who are you who replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to Him Who formed it, Why have you made me this way?
(21) Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel to honor and another to dishonor?

Job 41:11 MKJV
(11) Who has gone before Me that I should repay? All that is the heavens is Mine.

Psalms 115:3 MKJV
(3) But our God is in Heaven; He has done whatever He has pleased.

That the children of Israel were cast off for the sake of the nations, the Gentiles:

Romans 11:12 KJV
(12) Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fullness?

Romans 11:15 KJV
(15) For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

Romans 11:25 MKJV
(25) For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, lest you should be wise within yourselves; that blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the nations has come in.

Isaiah 49:6 MKJV
(6) And He said, It is but a little thing that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to bring back the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light to the nations, to be My salvation to the end of the earth.

That the Gentiles, the nations, will come in:

Romans 9:25-26 MKJV
(25) As He also says in Hosea, “I will call those not My people, My people; and those not beloved, Beloved.”
(26) And it shall be, in the place where it was said to them. “You are not My people; there they shall be called sons of the living God.”

Psalms 22:27-29 KJV
(27) All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee.
(28) For the kingdom is the LORD’s: and He is the governor among the nations.
(29) All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before Him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

That all Israel will then be saved:

Jeremiah 30:18-19 KJV
(18) Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwelling places; and the city shall be built upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
(19) And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

Romans 11:26 MKJV
(26) And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, “There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.”

Jeremiah 32:40-42 KJV
(40) And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me.
(41) Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with My whole heart and with My whole soul.
(42) For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

Jeremiah 33:23-26 KJV
(23) Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
(24) Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, He hath even cast them off? thus they have despised My people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
(25) Thus saith the LORD; If My covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
(26) Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.

All of Ezekiel, Chapter 37.

Ezekiel 39:25-29 KJV
(25) Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for My Holy Name;
(26) After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against Me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
(27) When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
(28) Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
(29) Neither will I hide My face any more from them: for I have poured out My spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

Zechariah 10:6 KJV
(6) And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.

Zechariah 12:10 KJV
(10) And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon Me Whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

That He will save all of the first Adam, for whom He came and died:

1 Corinthians 15:22 MKJV
(22) For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all will be made alive.

(18) Therefore as by one offense sentence came on all men to condemnation, even so by the righteousness of One the free gift came to all men to justification of life.

(7) And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

That every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord:

Isaiah 45:22-23 MKJV
(22) Turn to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.
(23) I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Daniel 7:14 MKJV
(14) And dominion and glory was given Him, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations and languages, should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Romans 14:11-12 MKJV
(11) For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”
(12) So then each one of us will give account concerning himself to God.

Philippians 2:9-11 MKJV
(9) Therefore God has highly exalted Him, and has given Him a name which is above every name,
(10) that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly ones, and of earthly ones, and of ones under the earth;
(11) and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

(13) And I heard every creature which is in the Heaven and on the earth, and under the earth, and those that are in the sea, and all who are in them, saying, Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever.

Which they can only do by the Spirit of the Lord:

1 Corinthians 12:3 MKJV
(3) Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says Jesus is a curse, and that no one can say that Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.

1 John 4:2 MKJV
(2) By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God.

(15) Whoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him and he in God.

1 John 5:1 MKJV
(1) Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. And everyone who loves Him Who begets also loves him who has been born of Him.

That besides the elders and the 144,000, there is a multitude that no man can number, no, not with computers, dressed in white, worshipping:

Genesis 15:5 MKJV
(5) And He brought him outside and said, Look now toward the heavens and count the stars, if you are able to count them. And He said to him, So shall your seed be.

Jeremiah 33:22 MKJV
(22) As the host of the heavens cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so I will multiply the seed of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.

Revelation 7:9 MKJV
(9) After these things I looked, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues, stood before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palms in their hands.

That all flesh shall see the salvation of God:

Luke 3:5-6 MKJV
(5) Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked shall be straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth.
(6) And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

Revelation 15:3-4 MKJV
(3) And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty, just and true are Your ways, O King of saints.
(4) Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You only are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your righteousnesses were made known.

That we will all one day have great and true reason to rejoice:

1 Chronicles 16:31-32 KJV
(31) Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.
(32) Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.

(1) The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
(2) It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.

John 3:16-17 MKJV
(16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(17) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.

That not only His people, but also others will rejoice with His people:

Romans 8:20-21 KJV
(20) For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Him Who hath subjected the same in hope,
(21) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Romans 15:10 MKJV
(10) And again He says, “Rejoice, O nations, with His people.”

Because God does all things well.

Genesis 1:10 MKJV
(10) And God called the dry land, Earth. And He called the gathering together of the waters, Seas. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:12 MKJV
(12) And the earth brought forth tender sprouts, the herb yielding seed after its kind, and the tree producing fruit after its kind, whose seed was in itself. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:21 MKJV
(21) And God created great sea-animals, and every living soul that creeps with which the waters swarmed after their kind; and every winged fowl after its kind. And God saw that it was good.

(25) And God made the beasts of the earth after its kind, and cattle after their kind, and all creepers upon the earth after their kind. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:31 MKJV
(31) And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Now THAT, my friend, is the GOOD NEWS!

Do we neglect the need for God’s laws? God forbid!

Romans 3:31 KJV
(31) Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Proverbs 29:18 MKJV
(18) Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he who keeps the law, he is blessed.

Shall we discount the existence of evil and sin? No way!

(9) And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

(5) Then Jerusalem and all Judea went out to him, and all the region round about Jordan.
(6) And they were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

Romans 7:15 MKJV
(15) For that which I do, I know not. For what I desire, that I do not do; but what I hate, that I do.

Romans 7:18-23 MKJV
(18) For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwells no good thing. For to will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good I do not find.
(19) For I do not do the good that I desire; but the evil which I do not will, that I do.
(20) But if I do what I do not desire, it is no more I working it out, but sin dwelling in me.
(21) I find then a law: when I will to do the right, evil is present with me.
(22) For I delight in the Law of God according to the inward man;
(23) but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin being in my members.

Shall we deny the need for repentance? Not in the least!

Matthew 3:1-2 MKJV
(1) In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
(2) and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

Matthew 3:8 MKJV
(8) Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance.

Matthew 4:17 MKJV
(17) From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

Shall sinners suffer the fruit of their ways? Most certainly!

Luke 13:2-5 MKJV
(2) And answering, Jesus said to them, Do you suppose that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans because they suffered such things?
(3) I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
(4) Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were sinners above all men who lived in Jerusalem?
(5) I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

Do we reap as we sow? Of course!

Galatians 6:7-8 MKJV
(7) Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he also will reap.
(8) For he sowing to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh. But he sowing to the Spirit will reap life everlasting from the Spirit.

How and when is it, then, that we shall see all men saved?

Ephesians 1:10 KJV
(10) That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in Heaven, and which are on earth, even in Him.

Colossians 1:20 MKJV
(20) And through Him having made peace through the blood of His cross, it pleased the Father to reconcile all things to Himself through Him, whether the things on earth or the things in Heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:22-24 MKJV
(22) For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all will be made alive.
(23) But each in his own order: Christ the first-fruit, and afterward they who are Christ’s at His coming;
(24) Then is the end, when He delivers the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when He makes to cease all rule and all authority and power.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD! Praise ye the LORD!” (Psalms 150:6)

We have brought forth but a small portion of the testimony of the Scriptures declaring the ultimate, complete and perfect salvation of all mankind. The few Scriptures which on the surface seem to indicate otherwise are easily refuted and explained by those learned in the Scriptures and under the teaching of the Holy Spirit. For now, we submit the truth without addressing the contrary arguments. See our section The Restitution of All Things for more.
