Taking on that Christmas Spirit

A friend decided to reply to a post about Christmas from a conservative Facebook page. Many people were not happy to hear the truth about Christmas when the Lord gave many to speak. The following are some of the highlights – to strengthen believers in Jesus Christ even as they may struggle to escape the captivating spirit of the season.

Braden Preston
I don’t celebrate it because I don’t want to incur God’s wrath, celebrating the birth of the Babylonian “savior” in the name of Jesus Christ. Prophets like Jeremiah warned against doing so at great cost to himself. There has been enough judgment on my household as it is. These sum it up very quickly. Why don’t you celebrate Christmas?
That Devilish Spirit of Christmas

And if you really want to get into the facts, history, meaning of words, etc. you can read The Two Babylons and you will see that what I am saying is true.

Right-Winged Birds of Pray
Braden Preston… will read these for sure, but for some reason FB won’t allow me to open links up as my page and it never redirects me appropriately as myself. Kind of frustrating.
Marni Hove
Editor: Marni posted a comment about “I don’t think it is anyone’s place to judge my personal relationship with Jesus Christ”. Several people responded, but she deleted her comments after the following reply:
Braden Preston
Marni Hove Your “personal relationship with Jesus Christ” is your perfect cover to justify yourself while you do as you please. To criticize you then, is to question God Himself, right? Can somebody really judge a person’s relationship with God? What did Jesus Christ have to say about it?”You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.” (Matthew 7:16-17 NLT)Jesus Christ also spoke by Paul, in whom dwelled Christ’s Spirit. He explained that those who have His Spirit can judge the “relationships” of others with His Mind.

“For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16 BSB)

You have believed the lie that only God can judge you. You are ignorant of the fact though, that God Himself comes in the flesh through His Children to judge. They are the living proof of His Ressurrection. This is the “relationship” that you lack in Jesus Christ.

Ruth Kressler
You sound legalistic to me and I don’t believe my God will judge mankind for celebrating the birth of Jesus even though it is a man-made holiday and not the actual day which was celebrated by shepherds , royal foreigners and angels.
Michael Lash
Ruth Kressler legalistic? Aren’t we suppose to “establish the Law”? If Christian’s were meant to celebrate it why is that not indicated anywhere in Scripture? Did you read the links provided? Or are you one of these, “He who answers a matter before he hears it, It is folly and shame to him.” (Proverbs 18:13 NKJV)God doesn’t judge Christmas celebrators? Did you see the news the other day of the man who drove through a Christmas parade? Isn’t God sovereign? Couldn’t He have prevented that? Then why didn’t He?
Stephen Beiler
Ruth Kressler does this also sound legalistic to you?”And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, and put incense on it, and offered strange fire before Jehovah, which He had not commanded them. And there went out fire from Jehovah and devoured them, and they died before Jehovah.” (Leviticus 10:1-2)Did you know that was The Lord Jesus Christ who killed Nadab and Abihu? You might think that was in the
O. T.

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

Here is what Jesus said to the Samaritan woman.

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to worship Him. God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24)

Notice how it’s not optional. God makes the Rules as to how He will be worshipped. “ they who worship Him MUST worship in Spirit and in Truth!

Ronnie Tanner
Ruth Kressler your god won’t judge, you’re right, but Jesus Christ, God Almighty, will, does, and IS judging. Now what will you do? Blame Him for being “legalistic”? That’s the cry of a lawless one whose gods are being confronted.Where do you hear of the disciples or any future believers in the Bible celebrating the birth of Jesus? Wouldn’t you reckon the “reason for the season” would have been taught to the early believers and recorded for our benefit?
It’s overwhelmingly clear that the holiday everyone calls Christmas is an ancient heathen, unclean season of revelry. And saying it’s about Jesus is simply taking His Name in vain, something you wont be held guiltless over. In other words, you’ll suffer wrath, like Braden Preston said. And now that you’ve heard, it’ll get worse.

John Mary Lamb
Braden Preston a little out there. I love Christmas and Jesus and his birth story. Don’t strain at a gnat.
Michael Lash
John Mary Lamb I’m curious where you get the idea Christmas is Jesus’ birth story? Can you prove that?
You can have Christmas or Jesus Christ, you can not have both. And I’m not saying by giving up Christmas you will gain Christ. You cause the world to think such behavior is acceptable, walking lockstep with them.Read the link Braden gave, “That Devilish Spirit of Christmas” or don’t, you will be held accountable either way, doubly so for claiming to be a Christian. Though the non believers suffer from practicing this paganism as well.

Stephen Beiler
John Mary Lamb won’t you read and consider what Braden Preston posted? You say “I love Christmas and Jesus and his birth story”. I used to say the same thing, in my ignorance! But now it’s so very clear, as Ronnie Tanner put it, “it’s not The Lord Jesus Christ”, but another Jesus.
Ronnie Tanner
John Mary Lamb what’s “a little out there”? And where’s the gnat in what was shared? A little too close to Truth for you? I believe you when you say you love Christmas and “Jesus” but it’s not The Lord Jesus Christ. You wouldn’t be flippantly dismissing what’s being shared here if you did.
Victor Hafichuk
People, people, people, destruction is here because of this very kind of thing. The judgment will spare only those who don’t participate in pagan customs but who worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth.
Aaron Meissner
Jesus is most definitely not the reason for the season. What does the Lord Jesus Christ King of Kings have to do with such silly nonsense such as Santa Claus, elves, reindeers, lights, and mistletoes? Drunken parties and revelries? Gluttony? Greed? Isn’t it interesting that Christmas is the time of the year where most suicides happen? If this is a good holiday blessed by the Lord why are these destructive and dark things attached to this day in the name of the Lord? Think people.
Right-Winged Birds of Pray
Aaron Meissner… why wouldn’t Satan attack the most joyous time of the year for believers? Think people.
Michael Condit
Right-Winged Birds of Pray So…you think satan is running the show?Is satan more powerful than God? Did not The Lord create satan? Here are some scriptures that testify of these things:

“I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I am Jehovah, that doeth all these things.” (Isaiah‬ ‭45:7‬ ‭ASV‬‬)

“And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.” (Job‬ ‭1:7-12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Satan can only do that which God sends him out to do. If you read job you will also find that Job blames God for His troubles, not satan.

“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” (Colossians‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭NKJV)‬‬

Is not satan among those things? Of course he is.

You have been believing a lie. God is the one who is in full control. The Lord hates this day and therefore brings calamity on it.

Christmas is a day the whole world, nominal Christendom, and those not affiliated with nominal Christendom lift up. Both are blind and so naturally being slaves to the flesh they will do the things of the flesh. Therefore, you have those drunken parties and gluttony, that Aaron referred to.

Aaron Meissner
Right-Winged Birds of Pray
What’s joyous about the things mentioned in my post? Why are believers participating in these things if they are the Lords? Did the devil make them do it? Doesn’t the Lord protect those who are his? That’s why he calls us out of these celebrations that provokes the Lord to anger and brings wrath on those who participate.“He who sins is of devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever is born of God doesn’t commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he can’t sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil. Whoever doesn’t do righteousness is not of God, neither is he who doesn’t love his brother.” (1 John 3:8-10 WEB)That Devilish Spirit of Christmas

Right-Winged Birds of Pray
Aaron Meissner… the things you mention and how I celebrate the birth of our Savior are not the same. I was making a point of why it has become so commercialized and of this world. There’s going to be very little untainted the closer and closer we get to our Lord’s return.
Beryl Knipe
A Scripture came to mind. “Take away from Me the noise of your songs (hymns?) for I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments.” (Amos 5:23 NKJV).
Beryl Knipe
It was around 1993 when someone invited me to their “Christmas” party. The people were terribly intoxicated, jigging to loud music. Then, already, a thought came to me…IS this what our Lord and God enjoys? The last time I observed this was in 1995, which was also a time when I left churches behind. Such freedom.
Joyce Deitrick
??? money and things aren’t CHRISTMAS, LOVE IS. CHRIST is the REASON For the SEASON.
Victor Hafichuk
Joyce Deitrick rather, Christmas is the season of treason… against the One Who laid down His life for us and took it up again. You’ve been duped along with hundreds of millions of others. Now judgment fires are here to wipe away all evil.
Karen Bailey Wilson
Editor: Karen posted a photo of a pin with “Keep Christ in Christmas” on it.
Alan Agnew
Karen Bailey Wilson One cannot keep the Creator in something He hates, because that would exalt man over God. Can anybody say He told them to keep Him in Christmas?
On the other hand, He speaks here about ChristmasDiabolical Doctrine: Christmas Is a Biblical Christian Celebration
Debby Merriss
That’s right and possibly with the shelves emptywell be forced to realize that Christmas isn’t about Santa and gifts; it’s about the gift God gave us, when he gave us Jesus!
Alan Agnew
Debby Merriss“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?” (Luke 11:13)”I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;” (John 14:16)

“And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.” (Acts 5:32)

“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” (John 7:38-39)

Do not these verses speak about a present reality to rejoice in always and not a historical event which isn’t even dated in the Bible? And if the physical keeping of the Jewish feasts passed away so that the present reality of them is experienced, then what have we to do with keeping a holiday never detailed in Scripture? More about the feasts here.

The Feast-Keeping that Is Sin

Lynn Benbrook
Why don’t we see Jesus in front of the tree, he gave us a fantastic gift, eternal life with God and Him !
Ronnie Tanner
Lynn Benbrook because He isn’t there. And if you were with Him, you wouldn’t be there either.
Lynn Benbrook
He’s always there, YOU just don’t see him….
Joyce Q Fancher
Yes, Jesus IS the reason for Christmas!
Alan Agnew
Joyce Q Fancher Who told you that? Do you know if the Creator said “I AM the reason for Christmas?”
Glen Rousseau
Amen ?? and remember this is a pagan Santa , pagan tree but if you focus on Jesus you’ll be good to go ❤️?
Ronnie Tanner
Glen Rousseau wrong, Glen. What you’re saying is a man can sleep with another woman other than his wife and so long as he calls his mistress by his wife’s name, he’s in the clear. You think that would please or piss off the wife?
Victor Hafichuk
Ronnie Tanner, there could hardly be a better illustration of the Truth you present here. Right on.
God is finished winking. The time is here.
Michael Condit
Ronnie Tanner It’s interesting, I had this exact image come to mind when speaking to Marni Hove, it’s what they are doing.Committing spiritual adultery, then saying God should love them for offering their bodies to another god.“Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be a snare in your midst. But you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images (for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they play the harlot with their gods and make sacrifice to their gods, and one of them invites you and you eat of his sacrifice, and you take of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters play the harlot with their gods and make your sons play the harlot with their gods. “You shall make no molded gods for yourselves.” (Exodus‬ ‭34:12-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I hadn’t considered it this way before, it’s truly disturbing.

Dan Lysthauge
Glen RousseauIncompatible MixtureThis will be a good read for you.

Rose Adams
I do because it was the day that Jesus was born
Isaiah Dillard
This is a lie, Rose. I foolishly in the past tried to make this day about the Lord, and paid the penalty. God abhors the taking His name in vain, mixing the holy and unclean.Read Diabolical Doctrine: Christmas Is a Biblical Christian Celebration
Janie Kurzhals
Christmas is Christ..mas or a celebration of Christ… birthday
Alan Agnew
Janie Kurzhals Here’s a quote that answers what you’re saying. I too once thought Christmas to be an innocent celebration of Christ, something to enjoy a tree in the home with. But it’s not so. Read more atDiabolical Doctrine: Christmas Is a Biblical Christian CelebrationThe event itself is evil enough – of the world, the flesh, and the Devil – but putting the Name of Christ to it heaps sin upon sin. The word “Christmas” is from the Catholic pagan abomination of the Mass… “Christ Mass,” wherein the priest “offers up” the body and blood of Christ as a sacrifice to God, then serves it to the congregants. In effect, symbolically, those holding Mass continue to crucify Him, blatantly, publicly, presumptuously, hypocritically, universally, and proudly.

The origin of the central element of the Mass is a pagan one of Baal/sun god worship, holding up a wafer to receive life from the sun’s rays. And they attach Christ’s Name to this! Speak of Daniel’s abomination of desolation (Matthew 24:15)! And all the Protestants, who think they aren’t Catholic, follow and believe basically no different from the Catholics even if they don’t hold Mass (many do).

Rebecca Meissner
Hope fb doesn’t fact check this!
Victor Hafichuk
Rebecca Meissner how ironic that would be that the so-called fact-checkers find falsehood false after all, and be inadvertently supportive of the Truth.
