I sent this note to Keith:
Hi Keith,
We found your site because it is subtitled with a name (A Path of Truth) very similar to our own (The Path of the Truth). What a world of difference a word makes! The Lord Jesus Christ said (not “a” Lord Jesus Christ; there are many imposters):
“How narrow the gate, and confined the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it!” (Matthew 7:14 EMTV).
Solomon, in his wisdom from God, wrote this:
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it is the ways of death” (Proverbs 16:25 MKJV).
You have been on ways that have seemed right to you, but one after one they have failed, ending in death. So will your latest way fail too, because it is a way, not the Way of Truth and Life.
So what is the Way? Is it love? Did God say you could enter His Kingdom by tapping into the latent power of love within you? Here is what He says:
“I am the Door. If anyone enters in by Me, he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture” (John 10:9 MKJV).
Jesus Christ is the Door, the Gate, the Way. He is Love, Keith. You are looking within yourself to find goodness, love, and God; but He and His attributes are not there. Here is what the Scriptures, which we have discovered to be true in every way, say about what is inside you:
Romans 3:10-18 EMTV
(10) Just as it is written: “There is none righteous, no not one,
(11) There is none who understands; there is none who seeks God.
(12) All have turned aside; together they became unprofitable; there is not one doing kindness, there is not so much as one.”
(13) “Their throat is an opened grave; with their tongues they deceived”; “ the poison of asps is under their lips”;
(14) “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
(15) Their feet are swift to shed blood;
(16) Ruin and misery are in their ways;
(17) And the way of peace they did not know.
(18) There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
And:
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9 MKJV)
Negative thinking? No. Reality. Jesus said of the man who rhetorically asked whether anything good could come out of Nazareth, “Behold, an Israelite indeed in whom is no guile!” And it was of this man, who declared and believed in the Son of God, that Jesus said:
“Most assuredly I say to you, from now on you shall see Heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man” (John 1:51 EMTV).
Regarding the many ways of which you approve on your site, Keith, we show the specific faults and errors of many, if not all, on ours. Are we proving everyone else wrong to be right, or is it because we have been made right in the Beloved that we show others wrong? As His redeemed, we confirm what He has shown and told us:
“Then Jesus said to them again, ‘Most assuredly I say to you, I am the Door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them’” (John 10:7-8 EMTV).
Do you really want to continue being robbed, and to rob others of what could be theirs if they were turned to and obeyed their rightful Lord? Hasn’t it been enough already? And forget what all of you could have, how about simply what you owe Him, your lives?
Do read our site.
