There are those who say we are critical and judgmental when they see the False Teachers section, in which we expose those who deceive and are in error. We make no apology, because we obey the Lord. There are so many more we can add to the list, and we will do so as we are given by the Lord.
Would it not be a wonderful thing if we could compile a list of those who were once false teachers but who repented of their ways and openly declared their sins and acknowledged their error and wickedness? We would love to have that kind of list, much preferred to the one we now have. Alas, that is not the way it is, so for now we solemnly say with the Lord and the apostles, “Beware”:
“And Jesus answering them began to say, Beware that no one deceive you” (Mark 13:5 MKJV).
“Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” (Matthew 7:15 MKJV).
“And Jesus said to them, Take heed, and beware the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees” (Matthew 16:6 MKJV).
“Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision party” (Philippians 3:2 MKJV).
“For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also men shall arise from your own selves, speaking perverse things in order to draw disciples away after them. Therefore watch and remember that for the time of three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears” (Acts 20:29-31 MKJV).
“And He said to them in His teaching, Beware of the scribes, who love to walk about in robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost places at feasts who devour widows’ houses, and as a pretense make long prayers. These shall receive greater condemnation” (Mark 12:38-40 MKJV).
“Beware lest anyone rob you through philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ” (Colossians 2:8 MKJV).
Even naming names: “Alexander the coppersmith showed many evil things to me. The Lord will give back to him according to his works. You also should beware of him, for he has greatly withstood our words” (2 Timothy 4:14-15 MKJV).
For your life, we have been commanded to warn and to expose. For your life, you have been commanded to beware. Accessing the False Teachers and, indeed, the rest of our site, you will be obeying the Lord and His disciples.
“Then I asked the LORD, ‘How long will this last?’ The LORD answered: Until their towns are destroyed and their houses are deserted, until their fields are empty, and I have sent them far away, leaving their land in ruins” (Isaiah 6:11-12 CEV).
