Thank you so much for your site. I worked for a pastor for years here in Missouri and she taught me many of these things regarding the Truth. When she was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 82, we had so many pastors visit and tell her: well read these books and proclaim this or that. At that time, I remembered Job. The first sentence in the book of Job tells us he was a good man- not that he lacked faith. There is so much out there right now that is false, and many are being deceived.
Hosea 4:6 tells us, “My people perish for lack of knowledge.”
How are we to “love His appearing..” As in 2 Timothy 4:8, when we don’t know Him? It seems we are in a time where many do not even attempt to find out if things line up with the Word. I really thought your words about Andrew Wommack were spot on. I couldn’t stop reading as these are all things, as a church, we had discussed- and had people tell us we were “overly critical.”
Well, I just wanted to say thank you for continuing in Truth. We need it in these times.

These are indeed perilous times with falsehood everywhere. Only the narrow way of the Lord will get anyone through them, victorious in His faith.

Dear Paul,
I do not feel as though I was “quick” in thanking you. These are my thoughts on the subject. Maybe you don’t understand, as I am always grateful for Truth in these times. I, for one, would never assert authority over a man and have never claimed to do so.
I submit to the Lord as well as my husband, as goes hand in hand with Scripture. He also truly loves me as Christ loved the church. My personal testimony speaks to the fact that my husband should be in direct control of all things ministerially or otherwise.
The article speaks of “exceptions” to the rule. I wouldn’t purport that by any means.
Psalm 19:7
“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.”
Jesus himself said that-
Matthew 5:18
“For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.”
The only way to truly be saved is by looking into the mirror of the law and realizing none of us measure up-
Romans 3:10
“As it is written:“There is none righteous, no, not one; “
And we should all be humbled by that.
There is a very clear and well-defined difference between being in authority over a man and evangelizing- which we are all called to do.
It is, however, only under the authority of the Lord and His order of things. The “pastor” I worked for was only that because she and her husband were missionaries and ministers together when he passed away.
With all of this said, I still appreciate your site and the honesty in these times we are living in. It is a breath of fresh air.
So much out there IS false and so many are listening to what will, “tickle their ears.” Jeff & I frequently get people recommending such things as, “Your Best Life Now,” by Joel Osteen. Not the way it’s supposed to be in our view- our best life is with the Lord, in heaven!
