Slain in the Spirit?

I have been receiving email devotional from the prophet Russ and Kitty Walden.  Also mytcvc.com – Treasure Coast Victory Center in Vero Beach Florida. Pastor Tom Kehres, assistant Pastors Ben & LaTasha Robinson. Could you tell me what you think of these 2, prophet Russ and Pastor Kehres? I’m so glad I came across your website. Having grown up Catholic and having truths revealed about what the false teachings I’ve grown up with I have gone to other churches since then and each time I seek the truth more and more is revealed.

I just studied the Book of Matthew in Community Bible Study CBS and noticed exactly the things you brought up about two donkeys how could you ride on a donkey and a colt and why were there two people that were blind when I’ve always read one and peiple coming up out of graves when Jesus did.

I don’t want my name to be on a website as for having this question regarding these people that I Associated Press in the past year-and-a-half but I want truth.

Why also are people someone pushed when they are going up to prayer and caught it’s not being slain in the spirit. I don’t see it anywhere else in the Bible. And though they seem to be genuinely seeking God I just never understand why this practice is done. Is it so that you’re surrendering to Jesus and that’s an act of surrendering then you should say so. Otherwise it looks like it’s fake falling in the spirit and how long should we stay down there when we are “surrendering to God”, if that is the reason for the action of falling back and lying on the floor at the church? After all there are other standing in line for prayer who needed room to fall back if this is what is supposed to happen

I saw that some of your response about other people like Todd White that they ask for money. Is this something that I can go by to tell whether someone is real or not? Do missionaries have a right to put a donation thing on your website but not mention please send money? I had started watching Todd White videos 2 years ago and I remember him saying all of our materials are free. Thank you for being such a blessing, I have taught children’s church for many years and got out of it as I became a math tutor.

But I thought children’s church this past year-and-a-half at CBS because there was a need. I have other questions as well but this will suffice for now. Thank you so much for any time you might spend and responding to me. Okay blessings upon you and all you seek to share in Jesus’s name.

Sincerely Dottie

Greetings in the Lord Jesus Christ, Dottie,

We’re not familiar with the people you’re asking us about, but even before I took a glance at their site, it’s clear they’re not of God. A true prophet doesn’t call himself “prophet Russ,” and a woman of God doesn’t call herself a pastor (a ministry God has assigned to men).

Looking at their websites now, I see these people you mention are full of the stuff of false Christianity, the false doctrines and ways of men and devils

Tom Kehres of Treasure Coast Victory Center, for example, is a product of men’s seminaries “and has been influenced by the ministries of Kenneth Copeland, Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne, Pastor Benny Hinn, and Dr. Christian Harfouche.”

Copeland, Kenneth: Casting an Evil Net

Rodney Howard Browne and Benny Hinn: The Bottom of the Barrel: A Motley Crew of Demonic Mockers

As we say on our website, Dottie, true men of God don’t solicit monies from the general public as these phonies do. “Dr.” Harfouche is another manmade counterfeit apostle, as phony as a three-dollar bill. You need to know the Real Lord Jesus Christ, the One Whom we preach, and then you will surely know the imposters.

John 10:1-5 MKJV

(1)  Truly, truly, I say to you, He who does not enter into the sheepfold by the door, but going up by another way, that one is a thief and a robber.
(2)  But he who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
(3)  The doorkeeper opens to him, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
(4)  And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him. For they know his voice.
(5)  And they will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.

You’re right about “being slain in the Spirit.” What you see in these churches is the work of men and devils. It has nothing to do with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul, I think you for your candor and honesty and since my husband is not yet a believer I don’t want to be led by anyone but a true follower of God. And I want to be protected. There are some things that we found well with my spirit and other things that do not. If you know of any place around Vero Beach Florida that is a true follower Lord Jesus Christ please let me know. My zip code is XXXXX and I travel half an hour right now. It doesn’t matter the distance anymore it just matters the real deal.

Thank you for getting back to me. I’m sure you’ll receive many questions and emails and I appreciate your research. My pastor who had been an alcoholic but God rescued him from that does not believe in man-made religion School and has mocked them as well as the Catholic church he was in for a period of time. What bothers me is that sarcastic tone when he teaches on Wednesday nights. But he and his wife are meet people down to earth seeming. A small eclectic Church…all races.

The main thing that attracted to me to the church was the Wednesday night teaching on the authority and the anointing God gave us instead of us trying to beg God to do something.  Holy Spirit in US can guide us and lead us to minister to others in Jesus’s name with Holy Spirit power as the disciples did. Nothing of our own we are just the vessels being used but we do have the authority and power was given a gun and a badge to lay hands on the sick and see them recover.

Having had such a compassion for people on my life and listening to their problems trying to help them either physical problems, emotional situations, or whatever I feel other people’s pain and want to help.

I have stepped out in faith at grocery stores, Walmart, Sam’s, Publix and prayed for people as led by the Lord. About 3 months ago and he found it young woman I had prayed for 6 months prior so I’ll be at a garage sale and said you prayed for me.

Her name was Elizabeth. I asked her what she had wrong with her and she said she had a heart problem and God healed her, so we both praised God.

I had asked God to forgive me for being a doubting Thomas but I would like to know that something is happening when I pray for people even though I only see them for a couple of minutes and then never again because mostly they are strangers. Two weeks later I saw Elizabeth. Then the next week I heard from the mother of someone I had tutored math the year before and prayed for his warts to go away on his hands knees elbows and legs after he’d come to me for 2 years with them being burnt every couple of months.

She told me she had just found out I had prayed for her son the year before and he told her they disappeared two weeks later and have not returned. That it was wonderful for kids to see the power of God. I don’t want to get into pride but I want people to see that God loves them and is always for them never putting sickness on them. That is always of the devil.

I never have liked when people call themselves Apostles so and so or disciple so and so. Growing up in the Catholic Church I only had heard father so and so. But I’ve recently read in the Bible call no one father except your father in Heaven. What about Pastor? It’s only been there one time where is apostles teachers Etc more times

Anyway I was heading to church when I got your email this morning. I have only been going to church on Wednesday nights for the two years worth of teachings in classes. Since January my husband was having panic attacks and I thought I needed to stay home with him on the only day he seems to be the least stressed out. Since he is an unbeliever and I have been putting him first but have been working so hard to help pay bills we’ve both been just working too much.

And finally if there is a place that you know of that is around Vero Beach Florida please let me know what you know what to look for. I passed by a place that Pentecostal. I was given the gift of tongues in 2001 after we moved here and I went to a church down south with a friend of mine.

Only as a private prayer language not to be spoken of out loud in church to be interpreted by someone else. What do you think about praying in the spirit or in tongues? And are people supposed to pray in tongues allowed in the church when there may be non-believers? I thought in the Bible it says not to pray in tongues unless you were around believers. I have to go back and reread that his second time I read it it sounded like it was the opposite. God bless you. Dottie

Hi Dottie,

You ask about whether we know of any believers near Vero Beach. We do not. There are precious few believers in the world today, and those we know gather with us regularly on the Sabbath via a text chat room and during Bible readings throughout the week on a teleconference call.

You can learn more about these gatherings if you join the Forum on our site, which you can register for by clicking on the link on any page.

Read Here Is the Way It Is and The Gathering.

You write:

Are you speaking of your husband who doesn’t believe, or to whom do you refer by “we”? And can you say more about what’s disturbing your spirit?

You say about praying for the sick:

I don’t want to get into pride but I want people to see that God loves them and is always for them never putting sickness on them. That is always of the devil.

Where did you get the idea God doesn’t put sickness on people? He says otherwise:

“And he said, If you will carefully listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and will do that which is right in His sight, and will give ear to His commandments, and keep all His Laws, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the LORD Who heals you” (Exodus 15:26 MKJV).

“And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt which you know upon you. But He will lay them upon all who hate you” (Deuteronomy 7:15 MKJV).

For this reason you need to be careful for whom you pray, as you might be coming against the Lord by seeking healing for the disobedient He has afflicted.

“Do not lay hands quickly on anyone, neither be partaker of the sins of others. Keep yourself pure” (1 Timothy 5:22 MKJV).

You write:

The main thing that attracted to me to the church was the Wednesday night teaching on the authority and the anointing God gave us.

Do these people have an anointing and authority from God? Do you know for sure? How are you judging – by what fruits? Many are exercising power they presume to have from God, but who is taking up the cross

God Is Sovereign: Man Is Presumptuous

Praying in tongues is fine, when of God and orderly, as described by Paul in his letter to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 14). But many have received another spirit and their tongues aren’t of God – who walk in self-will. Again, The Cross – Only the Death Sentence Will Avail.
