Hi Guys

Interesting page.

Just a question on your eight steps of repentance. What if you committed a sin you weren’t aware of how would you go through all of the 8 steps?  if I have done a sin I am not aware of does that mean I have not completed proper repentance?

Regards

Paul

Paul, it’s not about dotting all the “I’s” and crossing all the “t’s”. It’s all about motive and attitude. If you seek the Lord to do His will, He’ll surely cause you to know all you need to know. He’ll convict you of any sin and give you the gift of repentance to turn from it.

Believe and obey; it’s for your life, His Eternal Life He gives to those who believe on Him. Jesus Christ is Lord.

Paul, Paul Cohen here. You have the cart in front of the horse. Those 8 elements follow the repentance that comes from God. In other words, when those elements are present, we know that God is doing a miraculous work of salvation in the person. And when any of those elements are absent, we know that God isn’t doing the work.

And, O man, the one judging those who do such things, and practice them, do you think this, that you shall escape the judgment of God? Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and the forbearance and long-suffering, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?” (Romans 2:3-4 MKJV)

“When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, ‘Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life!’”

(Acts 11:18 WEB)
