Subject: Feel lost
Hello to both of you.
To be honest i am not sure if i really know what i want to hear from you, except that i feel compelled to write to you.
I feel lost and by times abandoned. I do not know were to start to honor the Creator our God.
I have read a lot of the material you have on your site and unsure what to make of it. I acknowledge the path you chose and feel the need to seek out a path to follow myself. I am unworthy and small. Sad and confused looking for something more then this meager life i am living. I keep thinking there is got to be more to this life.
I have been struggling with illness only the last 4 years trying to understand why now. If i understand correctly from what you have written it might be God’s will that i am in the state i find myself in or perhaps i have myself inflicted the demise i am in.
Yes i by times find myself angered by my situation and wanting nothing more then to regain my health because of the difficulties of trying to function and maintain some normality to keep my job. I am the sole provider of a family of 5.
Other times i actually invite death to get it over and done with because i just cant go on, no matter the consequences that lie ahead, i accept it because there is really nothing i can do about it on the other side especially if God is in command of everything. He has the ladt word.
I have lived a life of sin i cannot right wrongs that have been done for they are in my past but i do acknowledge the things i have done and begged our Lord for forgiveness.
The feeling of abandonment is from the impression that when i speak to God in private no one is listening. I feel blind or deaf because if he is trying to communicate i neither see it or hear it and honestly it scares me.
I have been searching for a long time even before my illness for a relationship with our Lord even more since i have become ill.
Being aboriginal i have listen, seen and by times participated in ceremonies that honor the earth and Creator, but find myself that all of these things are honoring the flesh and false god. So i left behind these ways. I respect thats the way they do things among themselves, for who am i to judge but away from all that i do my own thing.
I am also an artist and thinking it was a gift i find it more of a nuisance by times. I am not sure how to honor God with my gift if it is from Him. I would want nothing more then to make a living from my gift …but unless you are well known and famous you don’t make a penny from it hence the reason i have a “real job” to make ends meet and question my artistic abilities.
I have asked God for guidance many times but i find no answers.
So …that is were i stand, lost and confused looking for guidance and praying that i have been chosen and worthy enough to be granted a second look.

Hi Louise,
We’ll answer your letter by responding directly to some quotes in red.
“I have read alot of the mateial you have on your site and unsure what to make of it. I acknowledge the path you chose and feel the need to seek out a path to follow myself.”
To be clear – we didn’t choose a path and not just any path will do. The Lord Jesus Christ, THE Path of Truth and Only Way, chose us:
“You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and ordained you that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you shall ask of the Father in My Name, He may give it to you” (John 15:16 MKJV).
Jesus Christ is the Answer to all that concerns you.
“I have been struggling with illness only the last 4 years trying to understand why now. If i understand correctly from what you have written it might be God’s will that i am in the state i find myself in or perhaps i have myself inflicted the demise i am in.”
Your state is due to your sins and the sins of your fathers, but it’s not God’s will that you remain there. His will is that all come to Repentance. When you believe Him and His Words you’ll be on your way to healing and health, starting with your soul.
“Beloved, concerning all things I pray you to prosper and to be healthy, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2 EMTV).
“I have lived a life of sin i cannot right wrongs that have been done for they are in my past but i do acknowledge the things i have done and begged our Lord for forgiveness.”
You don’t need to beg God for what He freely gives us in Christ. Come to Him by faith and receive what He has done for all who believe Him:
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7 EMTV).
“The feeling of abandonment is from the impression that when i speak to God in private no one is listening. I feel blind or deaf because if he is trying to communicate i neither see it or hear it and honestly it scares me.”
God hasn’t abandoned you – you’ve never come to Him with full surrender.
There can be more than one reason why you aren’t hearing from Him.
One is because you don’t believe. Unbelief is a sin, and sin separates one from God. Ask Him to make the way and trust that He will show it to you.
Romans 10:6-13 MKJV
(6) But the righteousness of faith says this: “Do not say in your heart, Who shall ascend into Heaven?” that is, to bring Christ down;
(7) or “Who shall descend into the deep?”; that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.
(8) But what does it say? “The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart”; that is, the Word of Faith which we proclaim;
(9) Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
(10) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.
(11) For the Scripture says, “Everyone believing on Him shall not be put to shame.”
(12) For there is no difference both of Jew and of Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call on Him.
(13) For everyone, “whoever shall call on the Name of the Lord will be saved.”
Matthew 7:7-14 MKJV
(7) Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.
(8) For each one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened.
(9) Or what man is there of you, if his son asks a loaf, will he give him a stone?
(10) Or if he asks a fish, will he give him a snake?
(11) If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him?
(12) Therefore all things, whatever you desire that men should do to you, do even so to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets.
(13) Go in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it.
(14) Because narrow is the gate and constricted is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Be prepared to obey Him, no matter what.
Two, we must suffer the full extent of our trespasses against Him to learn that sin never pays. When He releases you from your self-made prison, you’ll be truly sorry for what you’ve been and done, not only because of the consequences of your sins, but also because you’ll realize how wrong you’ve been and how you offended your Creator Who loves you. It will all work for good, Louise; it will; believe it.
When God wants to communicate with you, you will know it. He is fully able to make Himself heard. However, He is communicating with you right now, by our writing these things to you. Believe and take heart.
“I have been searching for a long time even before my illness for a relationship with our Lord even more since i have become ill.”
The Lord has brought you here in answer to your prayer, to hear from Him through those who know Him. We have gone ahead of you by His gift of faith and tell you with firsthand knowledge that all His words are true and trustworthy.
Read God Heals Today, His Way.
“So …that is were i stand, lost and confused looking for guidance and praying that i have been chosen and worthy enough to be granted a second look.”
“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10 MKJV).
“When Jesus heard it, He said to them, ‘Those who are healthy have no need of a physician, but those who are ill. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance’” (Mark 2:17 EMTV).
Louise, read this letter several times along with the links we’ve provided; once or twice is not nearly enough. Pray; ask God to show you the way; meditate on what we preach. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God,” says a man of God, the apostle Paul in the Bible. We preach the Word of God.
