Hi Brian,
As Jeannie said, beef brisket is made into bacon. The whole brisket is soaked in a brine, then smoked and sliced like bacon. It's a little chewy, but quite tasty.

I really enjoy these newsletters and I suppose your customers do too.

That's a long list of job tittles you have, yet you are just one person.

Nice photo of you in the kitchen. Are you making making bread dough? Do you use a stand mixer or do it by hand?

I find myself making a lot of dough lately for pizza and croissants so I purchased a stand mixer.

So where does Harriet (the dog) sleep and eat, in the barn with the sheep?

Does Harriet help with farm security so far (i.e. barking at wild animals, rounding up sheep, etc..)?

Sabine, I am pretty sure they would have lots of work and room for you at the farm. They have a whole house that is empty since Sean left. Why don't you just make a visit to HH? Perhaps, you can find an inexpensive (red-eye) flight from Netherlands.

Michael, I'm making sourdough bread. I mix it by hand.

Harriett sleeps wherever she wants to. The sheep are out on pasture until later in the fall. During the winter I'm sure Harriett will keep warm at night with the sheep in the barn. She isn't old enough at this point to scare off predators and she isn't a herding dog. She's a Maremma Great Pyrenees cross so her main job is to protect the sheep.

The house is empty no longer! James has moved in and Jonathan stops by every once in awhile.

Brandon, yes, we have Thanksgiving with turkeys. Don't tell me you think we live in igloos and drive dog sleds.....

I'm not sure what the stove in construction is going to be used for. Is it for baking wholesome bread?

As for the egg business, it is apparent that people don't know the things that business owners go through. In this legal environment, It's by God's grace there is even a small farm to sell organic eggs instead of a wasteland of GMO soy. Organic feed? That's a blessing, too!

Other things this newsletter brings up about the world that I didn't learn until recently:

Cities require people to get a business licence to do business.

Wooden shoes may be very safe in the cow pen for Martin. The problem is crafting them.

People don't eat their Halloween pumpkins. They cut up squash and let it rot.

Governments fleece and lord over people, including us, yet this suffering is necessary from God.

Thank for the article, 'Not All Organic Eggs Are Equal.' The prices are fair for a good quality product and food source. I love eggs, and I do see and taste the difference when I buy organic eggs.

Well, you hate the Bensons, so when I saw Ingrid here, I thought, "Isn't this polite hatred?" That is, thanking Ingrid for the sake of appearance to others while hating her. Also, I felt surprised that she was still walking the Earth.

Perhaps I'm wrong and exaggerating how Godly hatred works. Therefore, how did you feel towards Ingrid in the Facebook conversation?
