Real or Imagined?

Post by Victor Hafichuk »

Isn't this spoof actually the way it is? Who could have dreamed it would come to something so bizarre, that the ridiculous would be the norm?

This video content, I'm told, isn't available in my country. So I'm not able to view this. Can anyone help?

Yes, Paul. Same problem here (since I'm in the same country) :-).
Would have liked to have seen it.

Hi Paul and Terri,

I'm not sure if this helps, but it is the direct YouTube link to the video.

If the above link doesn't work, try this embedded one. It takes a few seconds to start.

In this case, Simon, I browsed through a proxy outside the U.S., then downloaded the video and re-uploaded it to Youtube. I reached out to LatmaTV to see why their video's are not viewable in the U.S. but I haven't heard back from them yet. I wouldn't think they'd intentionally set their videos like this and if they did I'm curious to know why.

Thanks, Ronnie, for that information. I just red up on proxies, and now I understand a little more.
Have you heard back from LatmaTV yet?

Hi Simon, I did hear back from LatmaTV. Thank you for the reminder. This is what I was told:

"We received several complaints on the subject but still didn'r get to find out the reason for our vids being blocked in the US. thx anyway"

It's a a bit odd to me that they've not come to understand why it's happening, but perhaps the person responding via Facebook isn't as aware as they could be. I did ask if they considered whether or not Youtube might be responsible and I have not gotten a response yet. This is the first I've ran across a video being blocked based on geographical area.
