Hi everyone,
French philosopher Voltaire was known for his rabid anti-Jews views. However, here is an interesting quote attributed to him I am translating for you from the French Aish section:
The king of France was asking Voltaire to give him in one word a proof of the existence of God. Voltaire's response: "Yes, Sire,The Jews." The king was surprised and asked for an explanation, to which Voltaire answered: "Sire, is it possible that a people so small, so scattered, so persecuted and so hated could still be alive if it was not by the will of God?"
