I don't understand how you can say Clayton is all about fame and glory for himself

Here’s the son of a preacher who plays Jesus Christ on stage, while offstage he plays a preacher, though claiming he’s still “a messed up guy” (from his website – ClaytonJennings.com). Don’t let the false humility fool you. The “aw shucks” posturing only covers over the arrogance of the man of sin, who pretends, by his knowledge, to be up to the job of playing God. This is the destroyer come in the flesh, a consummate liar. An actor, indeed!

I want to admit first that I haven't read the whole bible yet nor do I know how to actually study it. I know I am a sinner. I repent my sins. I know Jesus died on the cross for our sins. I will be saved if I open my heart to the lord our savior and let him into my life. Admit I'm a sinner and ask for forgivness. Believe and never stop my faith for the lord Jesus Crist. That he will show me the way.

I know that you have to do your own research that you can't take anyone's word but Gods word. You have to read it yourself find it yourself do it yourself. Build a relationship with your creator.

No days it is hard to do in my oppion. For people lets say like me. Who are trying to search for the truth.

I have read your site where you were having a discussion about Clayton the young man who is looking for fame and isn't giving all the glory to God. I found your site because I had seen a video of his called the calming storm. It hit me hard listening to it because just like anyone else I am going through my own storm right now. I'm yelling out for Jesus. I need Jesus in my life. I give all the praise and glory to our God all mighty. I yell from the roof top I am a sinner save me. I wanted to see what else this Clayton guy had to say so I watched a few more videos. After that I googled his name to see what others thought and that's how I stumbled across your page.

I was reading all the comments and wanted to give my oppions on them and wanted to see what your alls response to me would be.

When I was reading your alls comments you guys would say that you were not being mean. That you were just speaking the truth. I want you to do the same with your response to me.

I don't understand how you can say clayton is all about the fame the glory for himself. is it cause you take no word for any man besides god himself. with claytons preaching. I feel like he is putting awarness out there for the public. That God is real. He will save you he wants to save you. You have to want him to save you. The public will be like what.
Who is this man talking about God. Who is this God. And just maybe it will inspire them to pick up a bible and find the truth for themselves. Maybe that is all God is doing with Clayton. Maybe that is why Clayton asks the way he does.

There is no right teacher now days in my oppion. I feel like all the preachers are just motivators. Listen to thin doesn't that inspire you to seek the truth yourself. Read with your own eyes speak with your own mouth. Ist that a good thing. To have people just mention the word God and maybe a story that relates to you at that time. That would motivate someone to seek out the truth to be thirsty of the lord. To want to know more. we want people to find the truth to know the truth to want the truth. so arnt they in a since helping people. Even tho his intentions might just be fame and Glory for himself and not for the lord. He still got people talking about God. To me that is good. those people that have heard him should not only just listen to him but take it apon themselfs to find the truth and do the research themselfs just thank God and give the glory to him for whatever it was that Clayton or some other person said that made you want to open your bible.

I'm sorry for all the spelling and grammar errors and hope you can look past it and able to read my email and it not be so confusing.

I feel like you guys can not tell me the truth that I have to find it myself with my own research on my own time. Please email me back with what you thought about my email and any advice you may have for me and I will take it all in and research it. Thank you

Hi Samantha,

No problem with the spelling and grammar. Lord willing, we can help you; that's why we're here.

You're right that men with infirmities who seek their own pleasures may speak truths used by God to draw men to Himself. Clayton Jennings is such a man.

You needn't “learn how to study the Bible” for now - just read it, starting at the beginning. If you find any parts boring or seemingly meaningless, skip over them and go on until you've red the entire Bible. Then start again. Ask the Lord to give you understanding.

Our site explains the Scriptures. As you read here, you'll find you receive understanding, Lord willing. We are here to teach the Way and the Will of God for those seeking to know. There is no contradiction or disagreement between what we teach here and what Jesus Christ, the prophets and apostles declare in the Scriptures.

There will be sin in your life that has to be dealt with. Jesus Christ is the Answer to all sin and your deliverance from it. Talk to Him and mean business; being honest with Him, He will show you grace and mercy. He's Faithful and True.

I know that you have to do your own research that you can't take anyone's word but Gods word. You have to read it yourself find it yourself do it yourself.

You need to pray and repent of your sins. As to His Word, I assume you're referring to the Bible - there is the Written Word and His Spoken Word. How do we understand His Written Word? Know, for example, that the Ethiopian eunuch couldn't understand the Scriptures as he was reading in Isaiah. Philip was directed by the Lord to explain them to him (Acts 8). You can't do it alone; God didn't make us that way. He has made us to be dependent upon others. “No man is an island unto himself,” as the saying goes. The Lord has supplied ministries to serve His Body and all parts of the Body minister to one another.

You can't “build a relationship” with God. Your salvation is His to accomplish and fashion:

“For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them” (Eph 2:8-10 MKJV).

Faith comes by hearing, not by reading. What's the difference? A person can read the Bible for years, professing Christ as Lord and doing many religious works, yet without hearing His voice and following Him. But if you hear the Lord when reading what His servants write, as in this letter, it's because faith is at work.

“Scripture says, 'If you hear God speak today, don't be stubborn. Don't be stubborn like those who rebelled.'” (Hebrews 3:15 GW).

A prominent theme of your letter is expressed here:

To have people just mention the word God and maybe a story that relates to you at that time. That would motivate someone to seek out the truth to be thirsty of the lord. To want to know more. we want people to find the truth to know the truth to want the truth. so arnt they in a since helping people. Even tho his intentions might just be fame and Glory for himself and not for the lord. He still got people talking about God.

Samantha, devils also believe and even testify of God:

“You believe that there is one God, you do well; even the demons believe and tremble. But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead” (James 2:19-20 MKJV).

“And in the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon and cried out with a loud voice, saying, Let us alone! What is to us and to You, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God” (Luke 4:33-34 MKJV).

The devil spoke very true things. Jesus was indeed “the Holy One of God.” And what did Jesus do? Did He sanction the devil and allow him to speak on, testifying of Him?

“And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be quiet and come out of him! And when the demon had thrown him into the midst, he came out of him, not harming him” (Luke 4:35 MKJV).

I feel like you guys can not tell me the truth that I have to find it myself with my own research on my own time.

We understand but we also disagree. We must say we can and must tell you the Truth for we represent Him Who IS the Truth, so how can you say we can't tell you the truth? Perhaps you mean that we can't make you believe the Truth, which is true, and that you need to receive the Truth from God directly, which is also true.

There is no right teacher now days in my oppion. I feel like all the preachers are just motivators.

If a preacher isn't a “right teacher,” then he isn't from God. The “motivators” of whom you speak aren't of God. He sends men who are filled with His Spirit, who walk with Him and preach only what is right and true.

“…in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven…” (1 Peter 1:12 ESV).

2 Corinthians 1:18-21 EMTV
(18) But as God is faithful, our word unto you was not “Yes and no.”
(19) For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, Who was preached among you by us--by me, Silvanus, and Timothy--was not “Yes and no,” but in Him was “Yes.”
(20) For all the promises of God in Him are “Yes,” and in Him “Amen,” to the glory of God through us.
(21) Now He Who establishes us together with you in Christ and Who has anointed us is God.

Men of God don't come speaking their own opinion, which, neither can you go by if you will know God. Men of God speak His Word by the Holy Spirit, convicting people of their sins and bringing life to those who repent and believe on Him. It's just as Jesus said:

John 16:8-11 EMTV
(8) And when He comes, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
(9) of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
(10) of righteousness, because I am going to My Father and you see Me no more;
(11) of judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

Samantha, continue to read at our site, get into the Scriptures, call on the Lord to make known to you what is needful to do His will. He's Faithful and True and will turn away nobody that comes calling on His Name - nobody that believes and is repentant.

Victor and Paul
