My question to the forum will decide for me if I will remain a member or not.

My own answer to this question is that "Christ is Almighty God" manifest in the flesh as a mortal human, but still retaining all the powers of His Divine nature.

Thus Jesus "Is Almighty God or I am"

Please respond?

Alan

My answer: Not sure I accurately understand your question but have you red our section http://www.thepathoftruth.com/teachings ... /index.htm?" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Realize, this is a section with many articles sublisted.

And will this help you?

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among nations, believed on in the world, and received up into glory" (1 Timothy 3:16 MKJV).

It could well be you don't know as much as you may think. See what God has revealed to us. Read the papers recommended, or go your way.

At 76, it's evident you don't seem to have learned much.

This is a question I have as well.....could it be possible that He is indeed a true Son of God as He referred to Himself. A Son who was created by God at some time in eternity. Jesus said He came to do His Fathers will. He prayed to His Father. He does only as His Father tells Him. It would seem He is a Son in the true sense in that He is obedient to His Father, as our Father in heaven wants us to be.

If so, this would explain why evil exists or was created to exist. For why should evil exist when God has been in existence for eternity, for evil would have long been dealt with.

However if God is working with His Son to give Him a Kingdom, then could it be that part of that journey to receiving that Kingdom is for Him to go through the trials of receiving that Kingdom. Man has come on the scene only recently in terms of eternity and we are not privy to what has been going on for eternity past.

I know it is speculation but I am trying to make sense of what should have been dealt with eons ago.

There is more.... much more to Our Heavenly Father, the Eternal One, than we can even begin to imagine. I will leave the door open for Him to inform me as time goes by.

Blessings

Is it possible Jesus was a “Son who was created by God at some time in eternity”? No, it’s not possible, Russell, because He is God and God has no creator. This isn’t our opinion, but the Word of God:

John 1:1-3 MKJV
(1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
(2) He was in the beginning with God.
(3) All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.

If all things came into being through Christ, then He wasn’t created.

Colossians 1:16-17 MKJV
(16) For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created through Him and for Him.
(17) And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

All things were created in Him – He is before all things.

You say: “For why should evil exist when God has been in existence for eternity, for evil would have long been dealt with.

Read The Purpose of Evil.

You’re right about this: “He [Jesus] is a Son in the true sense in that He is obedient to His Father, as our Father in heaven wants us to be.

Jesus was the perfect man of faith, laying down His will to do the will of the Father. God presented Himself to demonstrate to us just how His son should be. He is the Way for us to do the same and to become one with God.

Philippians 2:5-8 WEB
(5) Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,
(6) Who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,
(7) but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
(8) And being found in human form, He humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross.

Thank you Paul for your reply. It is interesting don't you think that Our Heavenly Father along with His Son existed for eternity and yet they chose at this time to create a world where human beings would live and die with some to enter eternal life.

I have always pondered what has God been doing for eternity past. Even to understand eternity past causes some head stress. And yet here we are, where time has no meaning in eternity, placed on a planet to become sons and daughters of God. Is God wanting more sons and daughters? It would seem so.

What has God been doing for eternity is a question I will ask my Maker when I get a chance. Is it a question you have pondered?

Hi Russell,

Considering the Father and Son, put away the words "along with," for that choice of words represents a misunderstanding and is misleading to others. Here's the Truth:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1 MKJV).

Yes, the next verse says He was in the beginning with God. Your Word is you. Your word/speech/mind/intelligence/essence came with you when you came. You ARE all those things.

"Existing for eternity" are more misleading words, misrepresenting the true and original definition of "eternity." You yourself have here said, "time has no meaning in eternity." Eternity is NOT an expanse of time as we use that word today, but a reality, an essence, a nature. Translations have erred and English's "eternity" changes over time.

"With some to enter eternal life," are words that are also misleading. Yes, the Bible speaks of perishing and destruction, of death and hell and the lake of fire "forever and ever." We're aware and understand. Search out our writings diligently and find those topics explained. All men will ultimately be saved. Put away your doctrinal conditioning and argument and read our papers on this subject. Truth - He, makes free - INDEED.

"I have always pondered what has God been doing for eternity past."

It's not about what He has been doing but what is His Name:

He says, "I Am that I Am." He requires none of us being formed in His image to ponder what He's been doing. It's not so much about His or our doing, but of being. That is our responsibility in the Son before Him and in Him today. Never mind yesterday; never mind tomorrow; "sufficient to the day is the evil thereof."

"What has God been doing for eternity is a question I will ask my Maker when I get a chance."

When we come to His fullness, we'll know because we'll be.

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:8-9 ESV).

Our carnal contemplation and imaginations serve no purpose in God's Kingdom - indeed, they hinder our entry. Russell, you need Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Then you will know all things, as Victor has said.

1 Corinthians 2:14-16 MKJV
(14) But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
(15) But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one.
(16) For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.
