Religious spirits

Hi I have recently heard of Norman grub at the home fellowship I go. I saw what you had to say about him, False teacher you say. I believe What Norman grub taught from what I've heard so far is the difference between pleasing God in the flesh, and pleasing God in the spirit. God desires sons not religious Pharisees. Remember it's the goodness of God that leads us to repentance but by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil. Not the other way round The high people in society that rejected Jesus were those religious leaders that could not receive Jesus by faith. We need to die to ourselves completely our own ideas our own ways and just believe in the finished work of Christ alone for without faith it's impossible to please God so if you think you can please God in the flesh make sure you keep the whole law with nothing left undone. By the deeds of the law no man will be justified

“Therefore do we nullify the Law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the Law” (Romans 3:31 EMTV).

The faith of Christ has led us to fulfill the Law, Adam, by His righteousness, something we could never do in our own strength. It seems you may agree, at least in concept. But you've never had the reality of this precious truth, as with Norman Grubb, whose casualness about the Lord betrayed the fact that he never knew Him.

Grubb was walking in the flesh and had been deceived through the knowledge that puffs up to believe he was walking in the Spirit. It was iniquity masquerading as the grace of God.

You're under the strong delusion Paul talks about in Thessalonians:

“And because of this, God will send to them a working of error, for them to believe the lie, that all may be judged, those not believing the truth, but who have delighted in unrighteousness” (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 LITV).

I believe that I'm saved by grace through faith not of myself it is a gift of God lest any man should Boast. I have no righteousness of my own. I can not fulfill the law. Who am I, who are you. Who are we to think we can fullfill Gods Law. I believe God gave us the law so we could see that we could not fullfil it. If you think you can keep Gods law then you need to keep all of it with nothing left undone according to James I think he says if any man keep the law yet full short in 1 point he's guilty of all. Jesus said that on these two things hang the law and the prophets Loving God and Loving your neighbor, this is only truly possible to do by the spirit of God. One might consider themselves to love someone by a kind act or doing something for someone but is it motivated by the spirit or is it a work of the flesh. I believe we need to repent of our own dead works and allow the spirit to lead us by faith.

And once again Jesus said that to be saved one must repent and believe the gospel.

That's all. I think he's saying repent of dead works and self righteousness.

May God Bless you both

I believe we need to repent of our own dead works and allow the spirit to lead us by faith.

That's what's happened to us, Adam, through God's grace in Christ, at His initiation. You deny this can be so while declaring it must happen. You're in confusion, contradicting yourself and the Truth of God.

Keep reading on our site if you want to completely come out of your own works and righteousness and into the faith of Christ that prevails. Some good writings to start:
