I want to know what you think of Dumitru Dudumans prophecies

Hi Matthew,

You ask what we think of Dumitru Duduman's prophecies, directing us to one in particular, “America is Babylon.” Where we see Dumitru coming from in this video is spiritual Babylon, the religious harlot of Revelation and works of men that bring the destruction he warns about in sensational, carnal terms.

“And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all those who were slain on the earth” (Revelation 18:24).

Dumitru is confused, which is what the word "Babylon" means. There are two Babylons in the Scriptures, one being a kingdom on earth like the United States. This earthly Babylon ruled from Mesopotamia, originally led by Nebuchadnezzar about 2,600 years ago. Nebuchadnezzar was the head of gold of the image in the dream God gave him, which image represented Babylon and the other kingdoms to follow. This interpretation was given by the prophet Daniel (chapter 2) and has been proven accurate.

The entire image, with Babylon as its head, rules the earth to this day. America and the Western democracies form the feet of iron and clay (the people and the rulers ruling together). They, along with the former kingdoms and Babylon, still rule the earth as one entity, and are to be destroyed altogether in this last day of God's judgment.

Daniel 2:34-35
(34) As you looked, a stone was cut out by no human hand, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces.
(35) Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, all together were broken in pieces, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

This isn't the Babylon Dumitru was talking about, though he says it's America by citing Jeremiah 51:8-15, conflating Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon with “Mystery Babylon, the Great Adulteress” - the woman with the golden cup full of abominations in her hand (Revelation 17:4). But the Babylon of Revelation isn't a kingdom of this world. She is a spiritual body spanning many kingdoms, presenting herself as the bride of Christ, just as her husband, Satan, presents himself as an angel of light.

Spiritual Babylon commits fornication with the nations and kings of the earth, who are drunk with the wine of her fornication (17:2). She is embodied by the multitude of denominations and religious works in America and the world over.

Duduman, a Romanian, was part of this Babylon and taught its doctrines in the various churches of men (not God) that welcomed him because he had the mark of the beast:

"And that no one may buy or sell except he that has the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of man--his number is 666" (Revelation 13:17-18).

The mark of the beast is man presuming to be God in the confidence of his own strength and knowledge. It was in this confidence that we heard Duduman speaking. In this confidence he joked with his audience about California being Sodom, and in this confidence they laughed. But what's so funny about Sodom and the destruction of sinners? Nothing, but Christians who take the Name of Christ in vain think they're safe to self-righteously mock the sins of others while committing spiritual whoredoms in their institutionalized religion that rejects Him (see Diabolical Doctrines and The True Marks of a Cult). They're like the son who said “Yes” to his father, but did not do his will.

Matthew 21:28-32
(28) But what do you think? A man had two sons; and he came to the first and said, Son, go work in my vineyard today.
(29) He answered and said, I will not. But afterwards he repented and went.
(30) And he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir; and did not go.
(31) Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to Him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you that the tax-collectors and the harlots go into the Kingdom of God before you.
(32) For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him. But the tax-collectors and the harlots believed him. And when you had seen it, you did not repent afterwards so that you might believe him.

Instead of repenting they play at being righteous, finding justification and appeasement of conscience through false teachers such as Duduman.

“For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but they will heap up teachers to themselves according to their own lusts, tickling the ear. And they will turn away their ears from the truth and will be turned to myths” (2 Timothy 4:3-4 MKJV).

What we see with Duduman is partisanship with religious men, delivering the following message to them: “We, the true believers, will be safe from the horrific destruction I've dreamed and envisioned coming on the sinners of the world. These sinners, especially those of America, have enjoyed the benefits of God's grace, but now spit in His face and incur His wrath. We aren't like them because we give lip service to believing Jesus Christ and resisting sin. Amen?”

No, Duduman doesn't admit they're giving lip service, but that's what they're doing. When he talked to his audience about how they needed to stop sinning, they applauded. Is this not lip service? Is this how people reacted to John the Immerser, or to the Lord, when they called for repentance?

Was John partisan with his audience?

Matthew 3:7-10 MKJV
(7) But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said to them, O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
(8) Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance;
(9) and do not think to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as our father. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
(10) And now also, the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.

No wonder they didn't applaud. John represented God and called on his hearers to produce the fruits that God expects, a deadly serious matter, but Dumitru represented himself and gave his hearers a false sense of security, tickling their ears with the melody of entitlement minus personal responsibility to God.

Duduman didn't address his listeners on their sins because he was in the same sins and didn't recognize them. He was brought up in Mystery, Babylon the Great, and was full of her Diabolical Doctrines and ways. Woe to them all. They will be shocked at their judgment, not having the status with God they presume to have.

God's prophets tell His people their sins, because judgment begins at His House, whereas false prophets tell their clan about other people's sins because judgment bypasses their house. False teachers pacify their audiences and make merchandise of them:

Jeremiah 6:13-15 GNB
(13) Everyone, great and small, tries to make money dishonestly; even prophets and priests cheat the people.
(14) They act as if my people's wounds were only scratches. “All is well,” they say, when all is not well.
(15) Were they ashamed because they did these disgusting things? No, they were not at all ashamed; they don't even know how to blush. And so they will fall as others have fallen; when I punish them, that will be the end of them. I, the LORD, have spoken.

“And by covetousness they will exploit you with fabricated words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction will not sleep” (2 Peter 2:3 EMTV).

There are indications of falsehood at every turn in Duduman's story. For example, when he is taken to prison for smuggling Bibles, he encounters rats in his cell and calls on God to save him. Then, he says, a powerful light appeared in his room and a man in shiny clothes who identified himself as the angel Gabriel. This man says to him:

Dumitru, don't be afraid. You will go through many tortures, but I will be with you.” Then he said: “Look around,” and the floor was covered with dead rats.

Dumitru is then clubbed on the head by his jailor on account of what happened to the jailor's “children” (the rats), and put to various tortures. What kind of benevolent Savior delivers you from a serious threat only to leave you in the hands of sadistic torturers? Where do we ever see this happening with the God of Israel? Nowhere. When He comes to deliver His people, He delivers them and no one lays a hand on them.

After five months of torture (of which he boasts he never caved in), Dumitru's tormentors finally threaten to kill him with one last torture if he doesn't provide the names of his Bible-smuggling associates. At this point “Gabriel” returns and tells him not to confess. He also says: “Dumitru, don't be afraid. You won't die. Plead the blood of Jesus.”

If Dumitru could withstand the previous 149 days of torture on his own, why does he need this angel's help now? And if Dumitru had a promise of not dying, why does he need to “plead the blood”? Isn't the angel's promise the Word of God and worthy of faith? And what kind of help is offered anyway, that Dumitru doesn't die, but suffers such horrific torture that he wished he had died? (Even months after his body was broken, Dumitru says he called on God to kill him because he was in such pain.)

Furthermore, where in the Scriptures does any man of God or angel ever call on anyone to “plead the blood of Jesus”? We're exhorted to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, to look to Him, to call on His Name and to thank Him in everything, but “pleading His blood”? Never. Why not? Because doing such is superstitious nonsense, a perversion of the Gospel through gross unbelief. The Lord's blood cleanses us from all sin - it's not something we plead for but is automatically ours when walking in faith:

“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

How disgusting to urge others in the Name of Christ to plead for what God has freely given us, if we are His through faith and obedience! With the saints there is no pleading the blood. They are saints because His blood has redeemed them and they know it. But Duduman receives another gospel from an angel preaching another Jesus and doesn't count the angel accursed. We do.

“But even if we or an angel from Heaven preach a gospel to you beside what we preached to you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8 MKJV).

At another time Duduman says two angels identified themselves as beings from Heaven - there was no “The Lord says” or any other ID given. To assume such beings are messengers of Truth isn't credible or wise. Satan was in Heaven, too (Job 1:6), as are spirits that go forth with the Lord's direction to lie (1 Kings 22:22). Duduman's visions and visitations produced a “ministry” that was sensationalistic and distracting. He titillated and entertained people, just as the apostle warned, “People will stop listening to the truth. They will begin to follow the teaching in false stories” (2 Timothy 4:4 ERV).

And where are the witnesses that can corroborate Dumitru's fantastic stories? Where are the Mormons he claims to have converted by his preaching? Where are all the pictures missionaries took of him after his torture? Where is anyone who can verify his claims?

Are there two or three other witnesses that can testify to Duduman's sufferings and verify that in fact those things happened to him? It may be argued other witnesses aren't necessary - many prophets in the Scriptures were alone when God met them and there were no others to witness those events; however, there would be others in the Spirit to testify to agreeing factors in that person's life, confirming his character.

For examples, there was nobody with Moses at the burning bush, but hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, witnessed the monumental miracles performed by God through Moses. John the Baptist didn't have someone else hear what he heard about Jesus being the Lamb of God, yet it wasn't long before many believed and testified that John was of God. Now we know by many witnesses that John's testimony was true. Jesus Himself testified on John's behalf.

As with many other false prophets, Duduman makes outlandish claims without a single piece of evidence or legitimate witnesses from God to confirm any of them. Yet the gullible pew-sitters gobble it down anyway, living vicariously through the heroics, imaginary or not. This is Baal worship. They do not love the truth, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dumitru Duduman said some true things (America IS wicked and under God's judgment), but he also said many false things, and his prophecies haven't come to pass - not with the details he's given. Look and see for yourself. Can anyone show us otherwise?

Dumitru also boasted that he didn't ask for donations, but that doesn't mean he wasn't soliciting. We certainly see it at his organization's website:

handofhelp.com/help_donate.php

And who does this website most prominently feature? The Lord Jesus Christ? No, Dumitru Duduman and his amazing stories.

Matthew, read our site, particularly the Teachings and The True Marks of a Cult, along with Diabolical Doctrines. Familiarize yourself with the truth we preach from Jesus Christ, because only He can save and keep you. Knowledge puffs up, but the love of God in Christ builds His holy Temple. When you believe and obey the Lord, then you will discern the anti-Christs and imposters, because His sheep know His voice and don't follow the voice of strangers.

I agree with what you are saying about dumitru duduman but where I'm still confused is his claim. I would reject it entirely if it weren't for another video I saw from the prophecy club. It is called "prophecy club America the Babylon speaker Rick coombes full length."

The speaker doesn't claim to be a prophet. He doesn't claim special revelation. He claims that he was opposed to the theory that America is Babylon. Then he searched scripture to look for evidence to prove America is not Babylon and he ended up being totally convinced the other way around. If you can watch that whole 2.5 h4 video and refute his reasoning piece by piece or even just refute his philosophy of scripture interpretation I might be able to reject it.

All I want is truth and all I have found even among my heroes is reason for horrible doubt that causes me pain.

Another thing that causes me doubt in my own personal life is how can we know that Saturday is Sabbath? Would God use a terrible lying manipulating woman like Ellen G White to reveal the truth? I currently keep Saturday as Sabbath but I grew up keeping Sunday as Sabbath. I changed because I see no authority in scripture to change it to Sunday but it would never have even occurred to me to do so if it weren't for Ellen G White.

Matthew, we don't have the inclination or freedom in the Lord to review the long video to refute this fellow Coombes, perhaps because we already have done so in our reply about Duduman's prophecy of America as Babylon. You either haven't red the letter carefully or you simply don't believe what we've said.

Here is another simple proof that America isn't Mystery Babylon. John reports:

“And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that you may not be partakers of her sins, and that you may not receive of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4 MKJV).

Are you suggesting that these words had no application for believers in John's day or the many centuries thereafter, until our most recent times? Yet John said the time was at hand even then, and these warnings and exhortations were given to the seven churches in Asia. It is absurd and an insult to God that He would speak in such terms about something that had no meaning or application for His hearers.

So help yourself by reading our letter again (several times) and calling on the Lord for the understanding you presently lack, realizing, however, that the issue of America isn't the primary matter of importance in your life. There are internal issues blocking your vision and hearing. You need to come to the Lord on His terms.

Tend to the personal matters at hand as outlined in obedience and you'll know what you need to. You'll also be at rest with not knowing what isn't needful or expedient at the moment. You'll be at peace because at peace with your Lord and Savior. Having Christ, you will know all things.

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things” (1 John 2:20 MKJV).

So put your eyes on the Lord Whom we preach instead of on man (your “heroes”) or fear of what's happening in the world, which is fear of man.

“The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe” (Proverbs 29:25 MKJV).

You ask how we can know Saturday (the seventh day of the week) is the Sabbath. We know because God said so! He sanctified the seventh day from the beginning of creation and never said otherwise or changed His mind. If you think He did, please show us chapter and verse. Jesus said not one jot or tittle of the Law would fail. Have you not red our writings on The Sabbath?

And so what if Ellen White believed the seventh day is the Sabbath? The Pope believes Jesus Christ is Lord. Are you now going to doubt that, too? Don't you know that Satan comes as an angel of light, quoting from the Bible? Didn't the Pharisees do that with Christ? Did He throw out the Word of God because the wicked used it for their own ends?

Are you reading at our site, Matthew? You desperately need to if, as you say, you want the Truth. He is What and Whom we preach.

Isaiah 55:1-4 MKJV
(1) Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat. Yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
(2) Why do you weigh silver for what is not bread? and your labor for what never satisfies? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
(3) Bow down your ear, and come to Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
(4) Behold, I have given Him for a witness to the people, a Leader and Commander of peoples.
