I have read with interest your postings concerning Pastor W.F. Kumuyi and other pastors in Nigeria. I am surprised at your little understanding concerning loving God and loving the Bible, it seems you want to separate God from the Bible. What I know is that a person can't love God before loving the Bible because God is known through the Bible. You say Pastor W.F. Kumuyi loves the Bible more than God, have you not ready in the scriptures that the "word is God"? have you not ready that the same God said "ye shall know the truth (God's word or the Bible) and the truth shall set you free"?
You mentioned his attire, I still feel you don't understand what the Bible doctrines "being modest". It's like you don't even know that Jesus Christ himself wore one of the most expensive garment on earth, the Bible says his garment was without any joinings and do you think in your own understanding such a garment can be cheap picked from your markets?
I may not know much about the doctrines of the Bible, but the 22 bible doctrines outlined in Deeper Life are worthy accepting and following. When Christ was called Master by his followers, why didn't he refuse for you to say Kumuyi is accepting and enjoying the praise of men. Please people, let's be realistic in what we say against other people.
As much I accept that there are a lot of false prophets going around, let us not read the Bible upside down, otherwise you will end up leading multitudes of people who want to the real God preached by W.F. KUMUYI into the hands of real false prophets like T.B. JOSHUA. Let us study the Bible and understand it clearly.
In my native language there's a saying that "if your friends' child has danced so well, don't be jealous but clap for that child". Indeed Pastor Kumuyi has done what most so called men of God have failed to do, PREACHING AND MAINTAINING "HOLINESS WITH OUT WHICH NO MAN SHALL SEE THE LORD". If you think you are the best go and talk about holiness the way Kumuyi does in Deeper Life and see how many members will continue in your ministry. Please, the man has a touch of God and it's not him who talks to the hearts of people, it's God himself, Pastor Kumuyi is just a "vessel unto honour".
Yours,
Samuel

Pastor Kumuyi is just a "vessel unto honour"
Re: Pastor Kumuyi is just a "vessel unto honour"
What “seems” to you, Samuel, isn't. We aren't separating God from the Holy Scriptures any more than Jesus did when He spoke to the Bibliolaters of His day:
“You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about Me. But you are unwilling to come to Me, so that you may have life” (John 5:39-40 EMTV).
We didn't say Kumuyi loves the Bible more than God. Truly he loves neither. Without a love of the Author, how can Kumuyi love the Bible? What we said is that Kumuyi puts the Bible before God. In other words, he uses the Bible as a tool to get what he wants, impressing naïve people like yourself in order to gain followers and the things of this world.
Together you fulfill the parable of the Lord:
“Can the blind lead the blind? Shall they not both fall into the ditch” (Luke 6:39 MKJV).
In your blindness you attempt to justify Kumuyi receiving praise from men by saying the Lord allowed His disciples to call Him, “Master.” Don't you know that He is our Master?
“Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ” (Matthew 23:10 KJV).
Is it praise of men when we honor the Lord by our speech and attitude? But you don't know the difference between the fear of the Lord and the praise of men. Kumuyi is a thief, and you support his life of crime. You are his evident fruit.
You're on the right track about one thing, however, when you say you don't know much about the doctrines of the Bible. You don't know anything about them, because you don't know the One regarding Whom the Scriptures testify.
“Jesus answered and said to them, You err, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God” (Matthew 22:29 MKJV).
Here's another example of your prejudicial blindness: We don't find fault with high-quality clothes and said nothing of the sort.
We were talking about the type of clothes Kumuyi wears, not their cost. Jesus wasn't in bondage to man's conventions for worldly prestige as Kumuyi is. That was the point you missed in the writing, along with the examples of twenty or more false doctrines taught by this charlatan.
There are so many others things you've said that express your great darkness. You need to repent, Samuel. Like your teacher, you're not walking in the holiness of the Lord.
