Yes, history is clear on this matter. Jesus Christ was the Sacrificial Lamb slain for the sins of the entire world. The Jews did indeed kill their prophets and their Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach. They did hand Him over to the Romans, requesting, indeed, demanding His execution. “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!” they cried, “His blood be upon us and upon our children!”

But it was necessary that He die or we would be without salvation or hope. He willingly laid down His life. While the Jews meant it for evil, God meant it for good.

It was Jews themselves who testified to these great truths. Jews were His apostles and the congregation of God began at the Feast of Pentecost (Shavuot) with the Spirit of Christ dwelling in them.

We can be immensely thankful for these things. There definitely ought to be no malice in anyone for the Jews because of this. It was the sins of all mankind that required His blood for atonement, not just the sins of the Jews.

Yes, the Jews are guilty, and so are all men. The Jews just happened to be chosen by God as the priesthood nation to offer up the Lamb of God on behalf of the entire world. A messy and bloody, but necessary, affair. By His blood, our sins are washed away and by His resurrection from the dead after 3 days, we have eternal life. He gave His life, laying it down, and He took it up again. Death could not hold Him, thus proving He was God Almighty having come in the flesh as the Messiah.

I appreciate your take on this. We all crucified Jesus with our sins and thus are guilty of His death. Yet it had to be, not just the Jews in general, for not all the Jews had reject Him, but it had to be the leaders of the Jewish church, led by the High priest. They had a special guilt in having rejected Him and then arranging for his crucifixion. The Average Jewish person is no more responsible for Jesus death than I am.
The sad thing is that if Jesus were here today, He would again be crucified by the religious leaders of today which is being done in a spiritual sense as we write.

Yes, Dennis, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And you’re right – it had to be the Jews and Levitical priesthood making the sacrifice of Christ, the Passover Lamb, on behalf of all mankind. God ordained and arranged things this way:

“Men, Israelites [not just priests], hear these words. Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by powerful works, and wonders and miracles, which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know, this One given to you by the before-determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken and by lawless hands, crucifying Him, you put Him to death” (Acts 2:22-23 MKJV).

For it was the Jews at large who said:

“Then all the people answered and said, Let His blood be on us and on our children” (Matthew 27:25 MKJV).

And isn’t that what happened to the Jewish people? Wasn’t Jerusalem sacked with the Jews being dispersed throughout the world within forty years of their murderous offering of Christ? Haven’t the Jews suffered persecution ever since? Why? Because they are more responsible for what they did to their Lord and Savior.

And hasn’t God spoken to, and treated the Jewish nation as a unit throughout the Scriptures? Indeed He has, and so it has been.

Deuteronomy 28:62-66 MKJV
(62) And you shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of the heavens for multitude, because you would not obey the voice of the LORD your God.
(63) And it shall be, as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you and to bring you to nothing. And you shall be plucked from off the land where you go to possess it.
(64) And the LORD shall scatter you among all people, from the one end of the earth even to the other, and you shall serve other gods there, which neither you nor your fathers have known, wood and stone.
(65) And among these nations you shall find no ease, neither shall the sole of your foot have rest. But the LORD shall give you there a trembling heart and failing of eyes and sorrow of mind.
(66) And your life shall hang in doubt before you, and you shall fear day and night, and shall have no assurance of your life.

But to what end this chastisement?

Romans 11:25-33 MKJV
(25) For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, lest you should be wise within yourselves; that blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the nations has comes in.
(26) And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, “There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
(27) For this is My covenant with them, when I have taken away their sins.”
(28) Indeed as regards the Gospel, they are enemies for your sakes. But as regards the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
(29) For the free gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
(30) For as you also then disbelieved God, but now have been shown mercy through their disbelief,
(31) even so these also have not believed now, so that through your mercy they may also obtain mercy.
(32) For God has shut up all in unbelief, so that He might show mercy to all.
(33) O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
