We now have Part 7 of Victor's Theo-autobiography available:

wHaT tHe LoRd HaS dOnE wItH mE - Part 7

Troubles continue, but through it all, the Lord grants victory, in a still, small voice. Victor learns he must believe the Lord above and beyond any of his external circumstances.

Please, I ask of those who read to watch for errors of any nature and even to improve upon expression wherever you can. Constructive suggestions very welcome; don't hesitate.

Hello Victor.
May the Lord bless you for the sharing of your testimony! And for your wife Marilyn. It is encouraging, truly edifying, to see how the Lord it's working among you both. (Just from the things I've read so far).

Question. You spoke of how you failed Jonathan. Can that be avoided? Or is it only avoided by the acceptance of our infallibility?

I ask because I see this with us (Shelton and I).. me being more free in dealing with the children, because I trust that the Lord will lead us, but on the other end is the spectrum, my husband wanting to protect them to the extent of keeping them from everything doing everything by the book and leaving no room for errors.

Also, the dreams of the deceased.. that happens to me too.. it's always my great grandmother that raised me.. I'm never looking for it to happen but she appears in my dreams and my husband says that's demonic because she's dead. How can I discern the difference?

With love and sincerity,
Marquita

Hi Marquita,

Jesus became known as the Son of David. Despite the immense honor bestowed on him, David lost at least 3 sons because of the evil he did. Aaron lost 2 sons by fire from the Lord, though it was their sin and not his. Many righteous have lost the lives of their children through sin, weakness and fault, never mind the little I've suffered and inflicted upon my son.

Job was a righteous man, perfect and upright, feared God and avoided evil. Yet, he couldn't prevent his seven sons and ten daughters being destroyed by disaster. True, it wasn't his direct doing, yet God was dealing with him for his self-righteousness; that was why I was destined for at least apparent minimal failure in protecting and perfectly caring for Jonathan. We're simply not perfect and we need to learn that lesson in relation to our Maker God. Only One is Perfect and Good - God. These things are all part of the process of our being created in His image.

The Lord is Sovereign. You need to trust Him and not yourself and learn to accept both good and evil from His hand, even as Job said ought to be.There is no book to follow to protect children perfectly - only the One Book that instructs in righteousness. Though we should try to do the right thing, the perfect job is impossible for any of us, not intended to be accomplished. It's not our righteousness. We all learn that. Look to the Lord; you will definitely err; you have already, but believe on Him to work both good and evil for good. Keep His Law.

Your dreams are not of God; they are of your own memories, thoughts, feelings and business of life (Ecclesiastes). At some point you developed an inordinate or disproportionate affection for her. Ask the Lord to deal with it and trust Him, believing it's as good as done. While it's certainly possible it's a demonic thing, I doubt it in your case.

Victor,
Thank you for your response. I guess we are still really being disciplined from all the false teachings and traditions of men that we were raised with in church. The "religious" way to live. And the perfection we should exude by being believers. I believe the Lord has been counseling me in my heart about it. If we can do it on our own, what need is there for Christ. That has been ringing in my heart for quite some time now. He is all sufficient, not us. I agree with you totally when you said "Look to the Lord; you will definitely err; you have already, but believe on Him to work both good and evil for good." This is truth. And I believe it's pride in my heart to think I can do it on my own.

Thank you, and the Lord Jesus bless you!

With love and sincerity,
Marquita
