We have a new False Teacher Exposed:

Hedgecock, Joseph:

Throw Out the Bathwater, Not the Baby

We often note the true things false teachers say, because people need to know that the truth is no respecter of persons. Rejecting a person as a teacher from God doesn’t give one license to reject everything that person says. As Jesus said of His opponents, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat [teaching Moses’ words]. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, observe and do. But do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do” (Matthew 23:2-3 MKJV).

Rene, you've red Joseph's book, but have you red our posting about him being a false teacher? There's no indication you know or understand what we've written.

You may not see false doctrine in the Scriptures Joseph quotes in his book because the falsehood isn't in the Scriptures - it's in Joseph and his approach to God. Joseph leads people to believe they can initiate and control their relationship with God, but it's the other way around:

"For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13 MKJV).

"And I am sure of this, that He Who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6 ESV).

"I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps" (Jeremiah 10:23 ESV).

We love God, not because we know how or can do this of ourselves, but because "He first loved us" (1 John 4:19 MKJV).

Joseph is teaching people to love God as a work they're doing rather than the work God does. Joseph isn't living in or preaching the faith of Christ, of which Paul the apostle wrote:

"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any strength, but faith working through love" (Galatians 5:6 MKJV).

Thus, in essence, Joseph Hedgecock is anti-Christ. You need to know we have no righteousness and the only way you're going to know that is when your righteousness is exposed and addressed, and it surely will be, according to God's will for all.
