The “Empowerment Specialist”

It’s a competitive marketplace for the false teachers of this world, and if one wants to get ahead, they will need to make an impression. Out comes the resume with extravagant language to show you just what an accomplished and capable person you have before you, but the Lord is nowhere to be seen.

An interesting aspect of teachers like Cindy Trimm is they represent "the unreachable ideal" to some false teachers in Honduras. Of course, they don't say they can't become like one of those; they even think they already are the same, but it's clear to us and other outsiders that they aren't. Still they strive to appear so proffessional and articulate, and they dream of having an international ministry, to the point that many churches, big and small, vaunt the title "International Ministry..." named so "in faith."

And as for titles of men, those abound here, yet we can see they fall way short even from such human titles, including my ex-pastors, who were the first ones to start the modern "apostolic" move in our midst. Now almost every misnitry here is "Apostolic and Prophetic," to the nations... They look down on other small churches which only have a "pastor."

I say this, not in cynicism, but marveling at the depths of confusion and fleshly glory we were rescued from. And the best part is all of them will be rescued in due time as well. Praise the Lord!

Amen, Edwin! The grim legacy of Trimm and her kind is the evil leaven that has overtaken the earth, but the Lord has sown His good leaven, which prevails in the end. As Victor has said, "Let Truth prevail." We walk in the Light with Him and He does the rest.
