Subject: THIS IS BEAUTIFUL, try not to cry
She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: “How is my little boy? Is he going to be all right? When can I see him?”
The surgeon said, “I’m sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn’t make it.”
Sally said, “Why do little children get cancer? Doesn’t God care any more? Where were you, God, when my son needed you?”
The surgeon asked, “Would you like some time alone with your son? One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he’s transported to the university.”
Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good-bye to son. She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair.
“Would you like a lock of his hair?” the nurse asked.
Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy’s hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally. The mother said, “It was Jimmy’s idea to donate his body to the University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. “I said no at first, but Jimmy said, ‘Mom, I won’t be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom.” She went on, “My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could.”
Sally walked out of Children’s mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy’s belongings on the seat beside her in the car. The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy’s belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son’s room. She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had always kept them. She laid down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.
It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Laying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said:
“Dear Mom, I know you’re going to miss me; but don’t think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just ’cause I’m not around to say I LOVE YOU. I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again.
Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won’t be so lonely, that’s okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn’t like the same things us boys do. You’ll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know.
Don’t be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly.
And, you know what? Jesus doesn’t look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me to see GOD! And guess what, Mom? I got to sit on God’s knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That’s when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good-bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn’t allowed. Well, you know what Mom? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter. I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him ‘Where was He when I needed him?’ “God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children.
Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I’ve written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn’t that cool? I have to give God His pen back now. He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I’m sure the food will be great.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don’t hurt anymore. The cancer is all gone. I’m glad because I couldn’t stand that pain anymore and God couldn’t stand to see me hurt so much, either. That’s when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery! How about that?
Signed with Love from God, Jesus & Me.
(Let’s see Satan stop this one.) Send this to 10 people in 2 minutes and you will feel the Holy Spirit brightening your life in just an hour. Then sit back and feel the Holy Spirit work in your life for doing what you know God loves.
“When you’re down to nothing, God is up to something.”
I reply to “THIS IS BEAUTIFUL, try not to cry,” the story of a departed child victim of cancer sending a letter from Heaven to his bereaved mother.
In the following Scriptures is expressed the essence of virtue in God’s sight and the enemy of it:
Matthew 16:21-25 MKJV
(21) From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
(22) Then Peter took Him and began to rebuke Him, saying, God be gracious to You, Lord! This shall never be to You.
(23) But He turned and said to Peter, Go, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you do not savor the things that are of God, but those that are of men.
(24) Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.
(25) For whoever desires to save his life shall lose it, and whoever desires to lose his life for My sake shall find it.
As you likely expected, after reading our judgment of so many other like stories, we declare to you that this is another “sappy” one, presented as good and godly, but which is truly satanic.
This is not to say that the person writing the story purposed evil any more than Peter purposed evil when rebuking the Lord for His words and thought. As a parent, I recognize at least in part the heart-wrenching sorrow and helplessness of seeing a loved one suffering and dying, especially one’s own young, and perhaps only, child. But this reaction of sorrow and clinging to that which is taken away is not the answer.
Moreover, God is not and does not think and act as portrayed in this story. The story is Satan’s powerful deception exercised over the souls of men, giving them false hopes and impressions, which keep them in darkness and lead them to more defeat and pain.
In the message are the words, in brackets, “Let’s see Satan stop this one.”
As the author of this story (even as he was the author of Peter’s “well-meaning” words to Jesus), Satan would not want to “stop this one.” It is his purpose to deceive and destroy many by clinging to the dead, and by sentimental heart tugs, preventing mourners from entering God’s reality. While Jesus Christ has risen, conquering death, and would direct us from the power of sin to the victory won by His death and resurrection, Satan would keep us in this world of death and hell, bound in its ways and thinking. Satan’s desire is that this story continues as is, he being its inspiration.
In the Name of Jesus Christ and in the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit, we will stop it, at least for those who will be blessed to read the Truth and believe what we have to say from God concerning the imaginations of the carnal mind, which is at enmity with Him.
While this story is recognized by most to be fantasy, many are still moved by sentimentality and are deceived, choosing to entertain devils. Reader, ask yourself: “Is it not a blasphemous thing to make up stories about God, Jesus Christ, and Gabriel, an Archangel of God?”
If this story is fiction (and it is), then it is a lie, no matter how tear-jerking it may be, and no matter how much it may purport to paint a picture of God and Jesus in a positive light. Where do lies come from? They come from Satan, the father of lies. Here is what Jesus Christ, the Word of God, has to say about Satan and his ways:
“You are of the Devil as father, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and did not abide in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it” (John 8:44 MKJV).
And the apostle Paul has this to say about Satan and his ways:
“Did not even Satan marvelously transform himself into an angel of light? Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15 MKJV).
He warned the sons and daughters of God concerning Satan’s wily ways “lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices” (2 Corinthians 2:11 KJV).
The letter ends with a false claim and promise: “Send this to 10 people in 2 minutes and you will feel the Holy Spirit brightening your life in just an hour.” How does the author or sender presume to know or decide what God will do? If any “brightening” comes, it will be from that wicked one who comes as an angel of light.
By sending this message, you will not be doing what God loves, as the message blasphemously promises; you will be doing what God hates; you will be doing exactly that for which Jesus rebuked Peter. You will be a messenger of Satan, as ignorant as you may be about it, which is no excuse before God. So let’s see what you choose to do – will you obey man or God? Here is what Peter finally chose, and spoke to the rulers of this world after receiving the Holy Spirit:
“And Peter and the apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed and hanged on a tree. This One God has exalted to be a Ruler and Savior to His right hand in order to give repentance and remission of sins to Israel” (Acts 5:29-31 MKJV).
For more knowledge of God and His ways, know that it is not His will that children, or any others for that matter, should suffer and die of cancer. Cancer is one of the many plagues that come upon those who are not living according to God’s will, their sins being found out the hard way. That answers the question of the story, “Why do little children get cancer?”
This is not to say that God does not care – He cares that one lives as he or she ought to live, and therefore one must suffer the consequences of not living as one ought, just as He grants reward to those who do live as they ought, thus proving God right, just, and true either way. That is where God is, not where or when needed, as people wish, but how needed.
Is it that the child was more wicked than the parents? Not likely (only God knows), but when a man sins, he brings the consequence on his whole house, even as Achan sinned and his wife and children – his entire household – perished, as well as 36 men of other families and tribes of Israel (Joshua 7). We are not islands unto ourselves.
Why should one keep a lock of that which perishes and is committed to corruption? Why should one cling to that which passes? The only thing accomplished is to prolong sorrow, to deny reality, to stall the inevitable, and to defy the progress of God and His will for better things.
Memories are not what it is all about. He does not take away that which should be treasured. He takes away that which is to be forsaken and accepted as lost, to be replaced by something better. His will is that you seek Him out, committing your way to Him; His will is that you know and do His will. Doing that, He will restore to you that which you have lost – multiplied. No, you will not receive back your child or loved one in this life; you will receive more than that:
“And everyone who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My Name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life” (Matthew 19:29 MKJV).
Finally, think of the title (“This is Beautiful! Try Not to Cry”)! What a demonic one it is! The person sends a tear jerker, perhaps even purposed to make one cry, yet he instructs to “try not to cry”! How wicked! This is yet another of the many tricks in the bag of the gleeful tormentor.
Most importantly, Jesus and God are not in reality as depicted in the story. To know Jesus Christ and His will, you need to repent of wicked, fanciful, presumptuous imaginations of Him, to seek Him as He is, and not as you wish Him to be. It is not about man making God is his image, but God making man in His image.
