Passing Their Daughter through the Fire
Religious lawlessness begets worldly lawlessness, all without hope because devoid of the Truth, the Lord Jesus Christ. Here we speak of the Hudsons and their famous daughter, Katy Perry.
Keith and Mary Hudson are one of many husband and wife ministries commonly found in the West today (http://www.keithhudson.org/keith-mary/). This couple believes in the gifts of the Spirit and advertise themselves as having a “strong prophetic ministry together.” Invariably this means the woman is leading the man. Some more from their site:
“‘Arise’ is the by-word of Mary Hudson’s ministry… At the end of [the 1980’s], the Hudsons became traveling evangelists. Mary also wrote for Charisma [Larry Tomczak, False Teacher] and Christianity Today. In 2004, Mary was called to minister in France. After two years of preaching throughout the nation, a minister told her they don’t allow women preachers in that country. Mary laughed and said, ‘Too late now!’ Mary’s book ‘Smart Bombs’ is about how to tear down strongholds ‘with the explosive word of God’…
Mary hosts Arise Women’s Conferences nationally and internationally. The Lord gave her a word in 2006 that He would use her to raise up women who are bold, trailblazers, and think outside the box… Prophetic words are downloaded to Mary as she ministers throughout the congregation.”
Yes, Keith has his billing as “an end-time messenger,” exposing and dispelling “spiritual lethargy, urging and exhorting ministers and laymen alike. The Holy Spirit rends hearts and causes God’s people to once again consider their ways and turn away from self, sin, and distractions and back to the Lord.”
But that isn’t happening because these people are doing their own thing, not God’s. He doesn’t raise up women independently of men, but has given woman to be a helper to man.
“Let the wives be quiet in the assemblies, for it has not been permitted for them to be talking except in submission, as the Law also says” (1 Corinthians 14:34 WEB).
With things out of order on this point, they’re out of order on all points, as this corollary from James points out:
James 2:9-10 MKJV
(9) But if you have respect to persons [such as women ministers], you commit sin and are convicted by the Law as transgressors.
(10) For whoever shall keep the whole Law and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
We became aware of the Hudsons through an article on the net about them and their famous daughter:
“Katy Perry’s Mother Has a Message for Parents of ‘Prodigals’: Praising God Through the Pain – ‘It’s only the love of God that will bring them back’”
The article states – “The Hudsons raised their children to serve God,” and makes clear that Katy (Katheryn) left behind her ‘godly upbringing’ – “Katy has sometimes taken swipes at her parents in media interviews. She has disavowed her Christian upbringing at times—even though the name ‘Jesus’ is tattooed on the inside of her wrist. And in her newest album, Witness, which releases June 9, she displays a new level of over-the-top sexuality that would make most people blush.”
The truth is, Katy isn’t a prodigal who left behind godliness. She is a confused girl who left the contradictory ungodliness of false religion that couldn’t answer her questions or bring her peace. She left an artificial “Kingdom of God” that masked and repressed the darkness of the world to which it was still in bondage, to experience for herself as a sinner the naked reality of the world.
If anyone is the prodigal, it’s her parents, who are the ones reduced to begging on their website:
“Know that your monthly donations help us to continue and expand our reach and help proclaim the Gospel worldwide.”
(The options continue through to $500/month.)
But neither Katy nor her parents are prodigals who’ve left the Father because none of them have ever known God as intimate companions. They haven’t come to, or known, the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ Who is the only Mediator between God and man. Truly, it seems they haven’t even heard of, much less seen, Him. We believe they’ve been worshipping “another Jesus” from the beginning. This will be incredible to many, given appearances and Bible-sourced expressions, but it’s true.
The Hudsons, however, are under the strong delusion that they do know and serve God through Jesus Christ, which is what puts them in a worse position than their daughter, who professes no such thing. In a candid interview with a worldly therapist, Katy speaks of God in general terms, not claiming any special knowledge or relationship:
“I do believe in something much bigger than me, and I call that ‘God’ for me.”
Katy seems to think or suggest the common notion that believing in a higher power is worthwhile. Is it? Not entirely, according to James:
“You believe that there is one God, you do well; even the demons believe and tremble” (James 2:19 MKJV).
Katy adds this about her religious background:
“Church does more judging than loving, and that’s why it doesn’t feel safe to me.”
Being judged by unjudged men isn’t at all wise. Unjudged men come with beam in eye, biased and selfish, never having been corrected and thus unable to correct others. Unregenerate men condemn what doesn’t agree with them though it is good, while accepting what does agree and is evil. But God isn’t biased. He is just, unselfish, frank, and willing and able to do what’s right at the supreme cost to Himself and those He loves. Being judged by God is not only very safe, it’s necessary for our salvation.
Judgment of the kind the Lord calls for leads us in Truth to freedom and life:
“Do not judge according to sight, but judge righteous judgment” (John 7:24 MKJV).
“Then Jesus said to the Jews who believed on Him, If you continue in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32 MKJV).
How do we continue in His Word? By acknowledging and walking in His judgments and commandments:
“And you shall do My statutes, and keep My judgments and do them. And you shall dwell in the land in safety” (Leviticus 25:18 MKJV).
“He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him” (John 14:21 EMTV).
The religious have substituted their own commandments and a form of godliness that vexes the Lord and brings trouble on them and their houses, as the Hudsons have done with Katy. Here are some of the false teachings from the “Beliefs” on their site:
“All men will live forever and all will be resurrected – those who are in Christ to everlasting joy in heaven and those who have rejected Him to everlasting punishment and torment in hell.”
Yes, there are words here straight out of the Bible. However, how does the rest of the Bible interpret those words? What is the Scriptural context of the Lord’s words? There is no greater blasphemy impugning the Nature and Glory of God than the lie that He created human beings in His image to be tortured time without end. This horrid belief utterly maligns the Character of God and denies His costly and absolute victory over death and hell through Jesus Christ, Who laid down His life and shed His blood to successfully save all men. “SATAN… has authority over all who reject Jesus Christ, the King of Glory.”
Satan is the prince of this fallen world, but he serves under God and hasn’t authority over a single thing outside of what God dictates. So we see with Job, who was afflicted when God sent Satan to humble him because God purposely uses evil to work good:
“Indeed we count those blessed who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you saw the end of the Lord–that He is compassionate and He is merciful” (James 5:11 EMTV).
So it was with Joseph, Israel’s son, whose brothers ripped him from his father’s bosom and sold him into slavery. Was that not an evil, satanic act? Yet years later we see and hear how God purposed it for good, as Joseph said to his brothers:
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today” (Genesis 50:20 ESV).
The Hudsons are walking in their own righteousness and judge after the appearance. They speak of those who “reject Christ,” but all have rejected Christ. Not a single soul has “accepted” Him – only God gives the grace to believe in Him. As Paul writes to the Romans, quoting and summarizing the teaching of the Scriptures:
Romans 3:10-19 MKJV
(10) As it is written: “There is none righteous, no not one;
(11) there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God.”
(12) “They are all gone out of the way, they have together become unprofitable, there is none that does good, no, not one.”
(13) “Their throat is an open grave, with their tongues they have used deceit, the poison of asps is under their lips;
(14) whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness;”
(15) “their feet are swift to shed blood;
(16) destruction and misery are in their way,
(17) and the way of peace they did not know.”
(18) “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
(19) But we know that whatever things the Law says, it says to those who are under the Law; so that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may be under judgment before God.
“There is one God manifest in three personalities: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.”
“The Trinity” is another doctrine of devils, abominable confusion.
“JESUS CHRIST… is coming again in power and glory.”
This is a favorite saying of the carnal religious man because it effectively removes Christ into the distance and future rather than the present of time and space, where He IS. With their lips, they will say He is here, now, even within, but in their hearts, they don’t believe it because He’s not in them as they claim; otherwise, they wouldn’t believe such a lie. They prefer to keep the Lord at arm’s length and run their lives they way they wish, which is the essential nature of sin. Professing to have received Him, they deceptively deny Him. These people are pretentious and hypocritical, though apparently earnest and sincere.
Back to Katy’s interview, she says she doesn’t want to be only “Katy Perry” anymore, but Katheryn Hudson. The interviewer says, “Your fantasy and curiosity created this great goddess.” He’s right, though wrong in his approval and flattery. Katheryn is trapped, and can’t be herself. She notes that Katy Perry is rich, glamorous, successful, and Katheryn is the opposite. “So it’s a bit hard to go back there.”
There’s only one way for Katheryn to become herself as God created her to be, at peace with Him, herself, and with all men, and that’s through Jesus Christ and His cross. Katy and Katheryn, her creator, must both die.
This applies to Katy’s parents as well. The Lord Jesus Christ is their sure hope, too, but in their present state, they’re the Lord’s stalwart enemies because they make a pretense of being His friends and servants while doing their own thing. This is called “taking His Name in vain.”
“”This people draws near to Me with their mouth, and honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. But in vain they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:8-9 MKJV).
As long as the Hudsons consider themselves found they will remain lost. Of such, Jesus said:
“And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind” (John 9:39 KJV).
There’s that word again – judgment – the very purpose of Christ’s appearing in this world. Not as a critical faultfinder, but as the Guiding Light Who liberates those for truth and confounds those full of themselves and their own agendas.
“And those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, Are we also blind? Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you would have no sin. But now you say, We see. Therefore your sin remains” (John 9:40-41 MKJV).
Katy Perry is a high-profile example of the “preacher’s kid,” aka “PK,” which is one raised in the confounding elements of artificiality, enforced confinement and contradiction of false religion. These children are exposed to truth mixed with error, hypocrisy mixed with sincerity, and insecurity masked by the false assurance of being God’s elect. These things serve as fuel to the child not satisfied with pat answers or a life in servitude to religion without conviction or understanding, rocketing them off into the world without wisdom or restraint, leading to disaster and heartache.
Whereas the “prodigal” article talks about Katheryn returning to her familial religion as one who went astray from God, the reality is that returning to her family’s religion would be rejoining herself to witchcraft, God forbid. We’re talking about the Biblical definition for “witchcraft,” which is divining for a reward. Isn’t this exactly what the Hudsons are doing with their “prophetic” downloads, collecting donations, and selling their spiritual wares on their website, using the Lord’s Name to do so while not keeping His commandments?
Here’s what a true prophet of the Lord says about the matter:
“And Samuel said, Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice! To listen is better than the fat of rams! For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idol-worship” (1 Samuel 15:22-23 MKJV).
What does it mean when the Bible says people cause their children “to pass through the fire”? The Bible is speaking of those who rebel against God and pass on their rebellion against Him and His Law to their children, although their conduct is deceptively presented as sacrifice and service to God:
Deuteronomy 18:10-12 MKJV
(10) There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, an observer of clouds, or a fortune-teller, or a witch,
(11) or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or one who calls to the dead.
(12) For all that do these things are an abomination to the LORD.
Isn’t that what has happened to Katy Perry – Katheryn Hudson? Her parents have spiritually slain her by causing her to pass through the fire of ungodly sacrifice, thinking they do God service. Katheryn instinctively knows something is wrong with her parents’ religious works, but according to her fleshly feelings, believes they love her and have her best interests at heart.
She has been both a victim and practitioner of religious false love, not knowing any differently in her natural state as a fallen human being. One might easily suppose her parents should know better as professors of True Love, the Lord Jesus Christ, which is what makes their position so powerfully deceptive.
Is it not possible that in her rebellion, Katy is only acting out more honestly against the falsehood that her mother represents than do the mainstream Hudson followers and supporters? Are the “faithful” not the erring ones, the blind leading the blind?
Is Katy a prodigal, or a fugitive? We say the latter. Katy must escape the hypnotic evil of the harlot church but she can only do that not by giving herself over to the darkness of this world as she has. And in her heart of hearts, she knows it.
By faith, Katy must come to the Light of All Men, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who has been grossly misrepresented by her church and family, but Who is truly represented without charge or coercion by those who know and are faithful to Him.
Now here’s an interesting thing: Mary Hudson claims on this video that twice she received prophecies from others, the first before Katheryn was born and the second when she was 9 years old, that Katheryn’s voice would “break the spirit of witchcraft.”
Will Katy’s apparent tragic turn in life lead to a glorious deliverance and victory, not by returning to the lovely darkness and bondage of bewitching religious roots but by coming for the first time to know the Lord Jesus Christ in all His Glory, thus exposing the witchcraft she was subjected to?
Oh, that the Lord would make it so for her, AND her family, ultimately!
Will this be the day for them when the hearts of the fathers are turned to the children and the children to their fathers? Katheryn relates in the video interview:
“I’m in therapy with my family and it’s amazing – it’s so beautiful because my family gets to talk and to be a family… I get to hear my father speak, who I love so much, and I get to hear my mother speak, who I love so much… I didn’t really hear them, and I’m trying to listen [now]… to have compassion for them and to love them in an authentic way, because it wasn’t always easy because we have very different viewpoints. But now we can agree to disagree in loving space.”
In her turmoil and confusion, Katheryn is trying to find common ground and connect – she’s desperately trying to not rebel while her spirit tells her there’s something not right. A trial run before the real thing? Doesn’t it say something about her parents’ faith that they’re only now communicating as a family when their daughter reaches out to them through the worldly means at her disposal? Where has the Lord been, the Communicator of communicators, in their lives? He’s not there – that’s the point.
They’ve never known the love of God, which brings unity of heart and mind.
“And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul…” (Acts 4:32 KJV).
There is no separation or “agreeing to disagree” with Him. These things are impossible for us as men, but possible for us with God through Jesus Christ, our Mediator and Savior.
“We love Him because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19 MKJV).

For those who will read in hopes they will receive: This is no judgment of condemnation but a call to repentance and a direction in the Ways of the Lord to bring salvation and harmony with God.
The Hudsons ARE responsible, according to the Scriptures (David’s consequences for his sin of adultery and murder; the Lord visiting the iniquity of the fathers to the third and fourth generation; Abraham and Sara with Hagar and Ishmael). Should the Hudsons repent, they will experience victory, regardless of what direction Katy may choose.
“As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse without cause shall not come” (Proverbs 26:2 MKJV).
The way you have taken in the Name of the Lord is not good. Repent; talk to me and I will tell you more. Katy can talk to me, too. There is Truth; there is Hope.

The spiritual man judges all things, Christopher, near and far, evident or obscure, personal or otherwise, say the Scriptures by Paul to the Corinthians (1 Cor. 2). He also mentions that spiritual hot shots who talk big don’t know quite as much as they presume.
Children DO make their own choices, as did the prodigal, granted, and they needn’t wait until they’re adults, either.
You know “amazing Christian couples”? How do you know how to judge them? Many appear amazing and godly, especially to the carnal such as you, but live counterfeit lives that deceive. You’ve never received the Spirit of God so how would you judge except after the appearance?
The Scriptures are clear that women are not to be in positions of spiritual authority with men, yet Katy’s mother preaches? To whom? Only women and children? I see their picture and she presents as the world. Not that I condemn her for it but you can’t have it both ways and expect to be blessed.
Your churches are worldly, having nothing to do with God. Your make-up and conduct are representative not of the True Church of God, Christ’s Body, but of the harlot, Mystery. You all worship Ashtoreth and Baal, the ancient gods by whom Israel destroyed itself. Do you choose to do so in the Name of the Lord and thus bring sin upon sin on your heads by taking His Name in vain, calling down His wrath?
Katy needs to hear the truth and not the “sloppy agape” lies you all preach. It’s no wonder she has gone her way as she has. I blame her because people make their own choices, yes; they’re not justified to blame anyone or anything else but themselves, but be assured, her parents have not brought her up in the nurture of the Lord in holy living; her blood is on their hands. I see it in the picture posted here, I perceive it in your conversation here and I especially hear the falsehood in YOU, Christopher Deitz. You are a blowhard. That’s how Heaven sees you.
Yes, fault me, who am a man of God, all of you, but I tell you that unless you wake up and “put on sackcloth and ashes,” with prayer and fasting, you’ll drag your children down to Hell and perish yourselves. Thus says the Lord.
And He doesn’t speak by the likes of “Prophet” Kim Clement. All these pretentious, presumptuous prophets will be exposed for what they are, as counterfeit as three-dollar bills. You’ll all see it. God is finished winking at your religious adult male bovine excrement; know it. And that’s why you’re all in darkness and delusion thinking to have the Light of God. Think again.

I condemn none of you, but your own ways condemn you. I hope Katy sees this and realizes there is Truth and that it isn’t with you all.

I need only a spoonful of water out of a pitcher to know what the rest of it tastes like. A wine taster needn’t even swallow what he samples to discern the quality of the wine.
