Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fire
A man comes out of Satanism to embrace a profession of faith in the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Wonderful! But what if his profession is in vain because he continues to follow Satan, except now transformed into an angel of light? Better not to take the Name of God upon oneself, if His fruits of righteousness aren’t forthcoming. The Lord does not hold such guiltless.
We were contacted by a lady who said she was having doubts about an evangelist she had been financially supporting and following. Before we knew who it was, we gave her The True Marks of a Cult and Diabolical Doctrines to help determine the validity of her concerns.
After reading these writings and informing us the evangelist was John Ramirez, our correspondent reported the following issues she had with him:
The healing services- I don’t think it’s alright for him train specific ‘payng partners’ to lay hands on others, if that’s not what they are called to do. They should come to him and not have to be a ‘partner’ to be led on the right path.
Using Images- Maybe it’s just me. But those Facebook posts put him up above everybody else.
Money Solicitation- Promotion of his books in church. Every sermon he makes. He promotes himself.
She went on to say she really liked John, but thought something was wrong and couldn’t ignore it anymore.
To back up what she was saying, she provided the following videos, with her comments in parentheses:

Victor replied:
Hi L,
John Ramirez’s actions, as reflected in his site and videos of interviews, provoke questions as to whether he serves Jesus Christ or himself. He appears to be a publicity seeker (for Christ, he would claim), a promoter of the flesh, a worshiper of Baal (worship of man), making himself a hero, albeit passionately portraying piety and humility as viewed at the 700 Club interview with Gordon Robertson.
Saints walking in faith are as their Lord. The apostle Paul served as the excellent example for us to follow. Saints don’t rightfully promote themselves or their works. They don’t sensationalize or grandstand; they don’t flatter or try to stir emotion, though they may try to persuade men to repent and believe. They don’t try to attract attention or publicize or make heroes of themselves, other saints, or anyone else. Saints don’t seek to please or impress people.
Saints don’t solicit money or sell goods to preach the Gospel, nor do they teach others to do any of these things for the Kingdom of God. They don’t charge for the Truth. Indeed, by their example, they offend men, according to the words of the Lord Who said the world would hate them for His Name’s sake.
Saints are ordinary persons in themselves. They may have had power, fame, and wealth in their days before conversion; they may have had some extraordinary experiences and accomplished some impressive things in the world or done some heinous things, but none of this means anything to them, because they are truly converted to Christ.
Saints don’t promote, emphasize, or boast of their past, no matter how extraordinary; for the most part, they are ashamed of it. Their boast is in the Lord, and the Lord was never steeped in Satanism or other great evils. Saints will rejoice in that He delivered them from these evils, and they will testify to what the Lord has delivered them from, but they won’t take pride in recounting their exceeding unlawfulness. (Pride hidden by disgust makes the proud one look good before men.)
The purpose and work of the Kingdom of God is not founded upon the past lives of saints; their experiences in the world offer nothing to the Kingdom other than to inform their hearers of what was, but that isn’t their focus. Of no account to God is the status of the ungodly past, such as having been Satanists or sorcerers, witches, pimps, drug dealers, harlots, drunkards, hit men, mobsters, or terrorists. Their authority doesn’t come from their anti-Christ past in this world. Indeed, they count those things as dung.
Saints don’t operate within the religious frameworks of men. They aren’t permitted to do so – they lack man’s approval, the mark of the beast, the honor that comes from men only and grants them the power and privilege of “buying and selling” in formal Christian circles.
Saints preach Jesus Christ, His Lordship, and His death and burial for our sakes and those of all men. They preach His resurrection from the dead after three days and His call on all men to repent of their sins and to cease from committing sin. They preach the need for a new birth and total fidelity to Jesus Christ.
John Ramirez needs to worship not with his lips, but in spirit and in truth. He must stop seeking the praise and honor of men. He must cease the focus on himself.
Tell me, am I a hypocrite for speaking such things of Ramirez when I’ve written a book of wHaT tHe LoRd HaS dOnE wItH mE? Do you see a difference? Are we the same, or am I an even worse offender than Ramirez in what I’m saying of him?

Additional note:
John Ramirez has been associated with David Wilkerson’s church and was apparently mentored by him. David never came out of the harlot, false religion: A Captive of Babylon and His Clone.
Two years before the above correspondence, we wrote to John about his association with the harlot church systems, which was Wilkerson’s sin:
Hi John,
Bless the Lord for what He he’s done for you!
We watched your testimony on YouTube. We believe your testimony of meeting the Lord Jesus Christ, and deliverance from Satanism, witchcraft, and spiritualism, to be true. However, we are somewhat chagrined, though we must recognize God’s sovereignty, that you should allow God’s glory to be shared with the harlot for her glory in His Name.
In Noah’s day, sons of God (believers, not angels, according to Jesus – Matthew 22:30) married the daughters of men (unbelievers), and giants (Baals/heroes) were born. God’s wrath was poured out on the mixture He can’t countenance. “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord….”
That said, God has His purposes worked out with both good and evil, Jesus Christ being Lord of all in full authority in Heaven and earth by the power of His Resurrection Life. We must acknowledge that truth is found everywhere, as you found it in that church and as your story has been made known far and wide by those who promote their own interests, mixing truth with error, as all televangelists and famous, popular preachers (the giants of this age) do.
We call your attention to what the Lord has done with us and what He has given us to proclaim to the world. See www.ThePathofTruth.com, pray and consider soberly. You’ll see a decisive and necessary departure from the works of men, the paths of the destroyer.
The Lord Jesus Christ, Savior of all men in due time, grant you to see, understand, and take up the cross without the city built by Cain, which stands apart from the presence of God, notwithstanding His mark of protection on him:
“And the LORD said to him, ‘Therefore whoever kills Cain shall be avenged seven times.’ And the LORD set a mark upon Cain so that anyone who found him should not kill him. And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD and lived in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch” (Genesis 4:15-17 MKJV).
“Therefore Jesus also, so that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore let us go forth to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach. For here we have no continuing city, but we seek one to come” (Hebrews 13:12-14 MKJV).

John replied (yet continued in his ways):
Thank you God bless you
