Here’s the son of a preacher who plays Jesus Christ on stage, while offstage he plays a preacher, though claiming he’s still “a messed up guy” (from his website – ClaytonJennings.com). Don’t let the false humility fool you. The “aw shucks” posturing only covers over the arrogance of the man of sin, who pretends, by his knowledge, to be up to the job of playing God. This is the destroyer come in the flesh, a consummate liar. An actor, indeed!

Greetings,
Please look into a new false teacher names Clayton Jennings. I had a run-in with over his half truth on love, Christian hypocrisy, and misuse of Mathew 7:1-6. We as Christians need to evaluate him, test his message and get ahold of him because he is gaining notoriety and needs to be muzzled quickly before he gets wind in his sails.

Hi Allison,
God’s servants are sent to minister to the sheep, His Body, and not to protect the general public or counterfeit Christians from false teachers. It’s not our job to sound the alarm to the world about new false teachers appearing on the scene. If it seems to you that we have taken on this task, then read the introduction to the False Teachers section for a better understanding of what we’re actually doing and why.
God sends charismatic people like Billy Graham, Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, and others like them because they’re used to attract and bundle the tares for judgment. There is a need for, and holy purpose being worked out in, their successful gathering of souls.
We therefore rejoice in what the Lord is doing according to His good purpose, part of which includes our speaking His judgment that exposes the man of sin and his anti-Christ ways expressed by many.
We had never heard of Clayton until your letter, but I found his address on his website, so I’m including him here because I have something to say to him now:
Clayton, I understand you were brought up “in church” and, like Saul of Tarsus who was also brought up in his respective religion, are doing what you’ve learned at home. Like Saul before he was converted, you’re also directly opposing the True and Living God, the Lord Jesus Christ, in your zeal for good works. You’ve been walking in all self-righteousness, following another Christ you’ve learned from men.
For example, I red about how you portray Christ in a play: Portraying Jesus.
No man can “play” Christ. The very thought is blasphemy, possible only through the total arrogance of the man of sin.
You say, “I wanted to be sure I had the right heart and mind for the Lord before I stepped into the sandals.”
And: “When you become comfortable in that role is when you need to stop. Portraying Jesus is holy ground.”
Consider what the greatest of prophets until the Lord had to say about how he related to Jesus Christ:
“And he proclaimed, saying, ‘There is One coming after me Who is mightier than I, the thong of Whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down to loosen‘” (Mark 1:7 MKJV).
Could you see John taking on the role of Christ in a play, or any of the apostles doing such a thing? As you have known a false Christ, so you have had a perverse image of the saints, Clayton.
The way to know the Lord isn’t through emulation, as you’ve been taught, but by taking up the cross and dying, something you’ve never known. What you’re doing now is exactly the opposite. You’re living and breathing self, not the Lord Jesus Christ – your case is one of the man of sin usurping the throne and glory of God. [End]

Hi Paul,
Your reasoning is not biblically based. EVEN in this age, we are to rebuke them sharply, but with love. Titus 1:10, 2 Peter 2, Matthew 7:21-23. Read your scriptures. Unless the scriptures lie then that is also what we are responsible to do. Clayton has good intentions and after looking at some of his videos, the Gospel is there, but the message of Salvation is not. He does walk in self-righteousness as you describe, but we need to correct him with love that he would come back.
Also, your comment regarding Billy Graham, Joel Olsteen, et al is also not biblically sound because it is written: 2 Peter 3:9. He is not willing that any should perish. We are CALLED to witness to the so-called tares until HE comes to judge them. Those “tares” can still be called to him. Then no one can say, Lord I didn’t know; I never knew. Yes, it’s pre-ordained and yes, he knows who will come to him, and yes it is all for His sovereignty and righteousness. The only thing is WE don’t know. We still must reach them who will become tares on judgement day.

Say what? Do you really know from the Lord Jesus Christ what we do or have done? Just who is making value judgments here?
No, as you say, you don’t know either of us. Neither do you know the Lord Jesus Christ, and He doesn’t know you.
But we certainly know you, as the Scriptures declare of those who have that knowledge because they worship the Lord in spirit and in truth, and not by imitation:
“But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:15-16 MKJV).
You serve another Jesus, not THE Jesus Christ of the Scriptures Who shed His blood for us and was raised from the dead after three days. You preach another gospel, and those you claim to be getting saved are proselytes, victim converts to the anti-Christ and not THE Christ. As Satan’s agent, you deceive them and they love to have it so, as moths compulsively attracted to artificial light.
History records that when it was Peter’s time to glorify the Lord for real, he responded that he wasn’t worthy to be crucified as was his Master, Whom he loved. “Crucify me upside down,” he requested. They honored his request.
But you, you self-righteous viper and hypocrite, bastard and not a son of God, you presume to pretend to BE Jesus Christ, never mind pretend to being crucified as He was. You know nothing of taking up the true cross by His grace (The Cross – Only the Death Sentence Will Avail). You only know to glorify yourself, using and taking His Name in vain to do so.

If Mr. Jennings was truly a man of God, then his spiritual fruit would show it, and he would not be so hauty and defensive when questioned in the name of the Lord, and he would show us biblically his reasoning. He doesn’t even tell us who or what organization supports him and his missions.
Mr. Jennings, I would advise that you skip over Denver, Colorado on your quest to become famous in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I WILL REBUKE you openly. I will report you to every fundamentalist, nondemoninational pastor out here in the Rocky Mountains. I suggest you skip right on over us and preach your own “gospel” elsewhere. Trust in that. TRUST.

Hi Ally,
We’ve received your reply regarding the latest correspondence with Mr. Jennings. It appears you’re receiving the truth from the Lord – wonderful!
Now, let’s consider some of the things you wrote to us in your former letter and see what the Word of God has to say about them.
“EVEN in this age, we are to rebuke them sharply, but with love.”
But Paul writes to the Corinthians: “What do you wish? Shall I come to you with a rod, or with love in a spirit of gentleness?” (1 Corinthians 4:21 ESV)
The correction or rebuke of God is also His love, but have you considered that what many think of as the love of God is truly man’s love, which is false love – Satan’s last stronghold?
As it is written: “Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful” (Proverbs 27:6 MKJV).
“Clayton has good intentions and after looking at some of his videos, the Gospel is there, but the message of Salvation is not.”
The true Gospel is always the message of salvation. As Paul writes to the Romans: “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16 MKJV). Clayton preaches a false gospel and false Christ.
You wrote that Clayton had good intentions. It’s been said, “The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.” And those intentions are “good” in appearance only. The motivating core is entirely corrupt.
“And Jesus said to him, Why do you call Me good? None is good except One, God” (Luke 18:19 MKJV).
Jesus was God in the flesh, but He put no trust in man, as it’s also written:
“But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all and did not need that anyone should testify of man. For He knew what was in man” (John 2:24-25 MKJV).
“We are CALLED to witness to the so-called tares until HE comes to judge them.”
The Lord IS here to judge, Ally, as you testified to His judgment of Clayton in your most recent letter. We spoke by His grace and light. Clayton is one of those who “lead captive silly women laden with sins,” which he calls “saving souls.” Such is the delusion of hell, whose occupants are ever learning and never coming to the knowledge of the Truth.
We have witnessed to the tares, just as prophesied by Enoch:
“Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men, saying, ‘Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment against all, and to convict all the ungodly among them about all their ungodly deeds which they have committed impiously, and about all the harsh words which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him’” (Jude 1:14-15 EMTV).
This is the Judgment Day of which you speak: “We still must reach them who will become tares on judgement day.” But Judgment Day is not the day they become tares – it’s the day they are exposed.

Laughing out loud while his “heart breaks” for us? What foolish people that are so blind to this one! If there was ever a scoundrel falsely representing Jesus Christ, this is one. Furthermore, the hero makes himself a model and merchandises, representing God’s house of prayer (His spiritual temple) as a Canaanite stronghold:

Jennings’ website pretends and claims to represent and glorify Jesus Christ, but it’s entirely about Clayton Jennings. Here we have another anti-Christ. Multitudes of Baal and Ashtoreth worshipers flock to this self-proclaimed Baal, this Mystery-inspired male harlot who grossly misrepresents the Lord Jesus Christ of Scripture and causes His Name to be blasphemed throughout the world.
Woe to you, Clayton Jennings and your worshipers, deluded and deluding souls; you will find an unpleasant end, having taken the Lord’s Name in vain as you have.
It was brought to our attention yesterday that Clayton Jennings was presented with undeniable proof of egregious sins he committed a year or so ago during the heyday of his “ministry.” (See links below.)
Of course, Jennings knew about these very deliberate sins, but now that the cat was about to get out of the bag, everyone was going to hear and have proof of what a phony he’s been. You’ll see how this put Jennings into damage control mode, doing everything within his power to avoid confessing his sins and to maintain his image as a flawed sinner doing God’s work (he’s still selling books and clothing along with soliciting donations on his website).
Jennings heard and knew he was a phony when we first confronted him two years ago about being a tare (false Christian). His response, as recorded in the correspondence in this posting, confirms that he knew this and had nothing as he tried to bluff us.

that those who speak the truth about his vile and antiChrist ways are out to crucify him. He is such the suffering martyr, demanding to be honored as a sinner while those who expose him and his lies are to be dishonored and dismissed as the killers of saints. The contradiction of sinners is astounding – how amazing is Satan’s spinning of things!
JD Hall, the author of the materials on Jennings available in the links below, has done a commendable job in presenting the facts while saying some true things about the errors and warning signs present in Jennings’ supposed ministry. There are a couple of critical considerations, however, that we need to point out to everyone. These are:
In the posting, Mr. Hall refers to the woman (and others) who engaged in fornication with Clayton Jennings as “weak women.” This is not the way these women should be considered, but rather as the Scripture describes them:
“For of these [men such as Clayton Jennings] are those who creep into houses and lead captive silly women loaded with sins, led away with different kinds of lusts” (2 Timothy 3:6 MKJV).
Or, in another translation:
“For these are they who go secretly into houses, making prisoners of foolish women, weighted down with sin, turned from the way by their evil desires” (2 Timothy 3:6 BBE).
So we see that weakness isn’t the issue here, but the foolishness that comes from sin. Therefore, these women falling into sin with Clayton Jennings weren’t altogether innocent victims, but have also been perpetrators, sinners reaping what they’ve sown. This isn’t our opinion, but the Word of God. And we’ve dealt with many of these women, who wouldn’t hear the truth about their idol or idolatry and thus go into destruction. (See Forum postings)
Another point (alluded to earlier), is that Clayton Jennings isn’t a Christian who fell into sin and can now be rehabilitated through confession. He has always been a phony, a tare, a narcissist, only now outed before the whole world. There is no ministry to restore, only a sinner who needs to be brought to true repentance and the cross, which no man can do.
The Clayton Jennings religious factory of self-glorifying propaganda must be shut down altogether. When that happens, there will be no more antics and ostentatious displays of “humility” as Jennings pimps a false Jesus that doesn’t deliver and couldn’t keep him from sinning. His “Jesus” has been Satan, savior of the flesh.
In a written confession, Jennings says:
“I’ve never claimed to be a perfect person, a role model, or even a pastor. In fact, I have told all of you many times to not follow me but to follow Jesus instead.”
If he isn’t to be followed (and he isn’t by those who love the Truth, for the Lord’s sheep hear His Voice and will not follow the voice of a stranger), then Clayton can’t be preaching to others as if sent of God. The man is an unabashed liar and deceiver, in total contradiction to the Scriptures. Here is the way it works with real men of God:
“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1 KJV).

The Lord exposes the invisible root; then the visible fruit comes along and confirms the truth spoken. This goes for all the false teachers posted on this site – they’ve been exposed by the Lord and in due time everyone will see the fruit that confirms.
Also, it’s important to know that not all false teachers engage in such gross sins as Clayton Jennings. Billy Graham, for example, was never cited for adultery or fornication. He apparently was above board in many ways, but this only made him more deceptive in his God-denying ways and doctrines that were exposed by the Lord.
