We got this response to The Fruit of Cain Multiplied: The Murderer John Calvin:
Please take me off your email list. You guys wouldn’t know truth if you were hit over the head with it. Sadly you all are going to wake up in the place you don’t believe in, unless God graciously saves your souls. There is more about Hell in the Bible than there is about Heaven. Good Grief.
Paul’s reply:
Nathan, why don’t you try to enlighten us about the Truth, if you are able? But, first, who said we do not believe there is a place called Hell? You need to check your “facts.” Speaking without knowledge is foolishness, is it not?
Or have you determined that we are those whom God has predetermined to torment in the flames forever, and there is no point in bothering with us? After all, if God made us for the burning heap, why should you be kindly disposed? I mean, you can do whatever you like, seeing He has such hardness of heart towards us. Why, you could even burn us yourself if you like, right? That is, if the governing authorities would turn a blind eye, or, better yet, even assist you. Yes, that is the answer! Find a way to get them to do your dirty work! Brilliant! I am beginning to see how this whole thing works.
But there does seem to be a crack of doubt in your sentence of condemnation, so perhaps there is a chance after all for something better, if you would engage us in substantive conversation rather than dismissive sayings that don’t mean anything.
Here is some substance for you:
Jesus Christ is the King of Heaven. Those sharing in His life are with Him there:
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and seated us together in the Heavenlies in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4-6 EMTV).
I find a lot more about Christ in the Bible, Who is the Reason and Sustainer of everything, and Who brings life, than things of the devil, which bring condemnation. Maybe you are focusing on the wrong thing altogether, and missing the really Good Thing.
Or are you saying that Hell is the Alpha and Omega, and that is what everything is all about?
Paul
