We received the following note from Gregg, with the subject line: “Who do you people think you are!” To read the correspondences that we have sent to John Clark, Sr.’s group, to which Gregg is responding, go to Series of Exchanges with the Cult of “Pastor John’s House”:
You people are cowards.attacking others for their beliefs.and pirating peoples E-mail addresses so you can spread your hate,YES I SAID HATE, pretty powerful words just like you used against John Clark.Who am i you may be wondering I am a person still looking for the truth not consumed by either side. I have had the pleasure of meeting John Clark and all of his congregation and let me tell you people, for someone looking for Christ You people Look more like SATAN’S Recruiters than people of God.I sure hope the God I talk to when i’m alone is not the same as yours. The God I know would never give people like you the power to Judge others.you need to put you wicked tongues away and pray for mercy.and remember you all have sent those E-mails to be Judged by others and now others are judging you. So find contradictions in what I have said and Laugh, why not I’m laughing at all of you ignorant Bible Benders.
Sincerely Gregg Gallatti
P.S. why don’t you people reprint this.I’m going to.
Our response:
Gregg, I sincerely greet you in that wonderful Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose servant I am. I greet you in His Name, not because you are in Him, but because I am, and because I now speak to you by Him.
You seem very upset, judging by your choice of words and expressions. You start off by calling us cowards. My dictionary defines the term as follows:
“A person who lacks courage, esp. one who is shamefully unable to control fear and so shrinks from danger or trouble.”
I fail to see any substance in your accusation, and can assure you that we are not afraid of you, or any involved in this correspondence. On the contrary, we speak in faith, not fear, and boldness, not cowardice, being convicted of the truth by the grace of God, Who sends us to speak to such as you.
You say we attack people for their beliefs, and I assume you call that “cowardice.” At best, you exercise a poor choice of words, or worse, you are ruled by emotion so much so that it prevents you from speaking clearly. I would not use your words. Rather, more accurately, I say that we tell people their sins, we confront them on their hypocritical behavior, and we inform them, through the mercy of God, that their “beliefs” or doctrines (preferred term) are erroneous, if not antiChrist, according to the Word of God. I fail to see the cowardice in that, particularly when firstly, we do not gain anything from the world that way, and secondly, we expose ourselves automatically to attacks of various sorts, like yours.
As to “pirating” email addresses, do you really know your accusation to be true? We have email addresses, given us through correspondences, which, one way or another, are published and accessible on the internet, without any designated protection. The email addresses in question were passed on to us by a friend in Christ, namely Carol Browne, who was in contact with these people, whether directly or by identification with a circle of people as a whole, from which, I assume, your address came. This lady happened to be awakened to, and delivered from, the error of the Clark group by hearing the truth. When that happens, the automatic reaction coming from one who is truly arrested, through faith, by the Lord Jesus Christ, is an automatic, heartfelt desire to share that wonderful news with everyone else, particularly those having been the closest and most loved, such as family, for example. Carol’s desire was for all to hear the truth, and truly, the desire does not originate with the vessel but with the Maker, our Lord.
That being so, that God should bring the truth to His creation and call many to repentance, how is it that a mere creature can withstand Him and complain that email addresses are “pirated”? Are you greater than God? Who are you to tell Him what He ought or ought not to do? Did He not say that He would come as a thief, warning that He would come in ways unexpected? You, Gregg, have been caught unawares. He has come on you as a thief. You have stumbled on the stone rejected by the builders, the Stone that has fallen on those who presume to build in His Name, namely the Clark group, which teaches error for its own gain. Join them if you will.
“Hate”? You are absolutely right. We hate the hypocrisy, the foolishness being preached in the Name of Jesus Christ. Oh, they appear to love and to be happy, and if so, surely you must think that any speech contrary to them is hate. It is not, however, a hatred of people that we bear, but a hatred of their sins and error, of religion that purports to honor God when, in fact, it misrepresents Him. And how would you know whether it accurately portrays or defames Him? What credentials do you have to judge, foolish fellow? You have none. Your letter tells us plainly that you know nothing at all. You even declare that you are still looking for the truth. That would necessarily mean that you do not have the truth, otherwise why would you be looking for it?
How then can you judge? You have set your tongue wagging against us without knowledge or authorization of any kind whatsoever. Perhaps you ought to consider if you are not a coward, given your definition, and one full of hate, condemning us without knowledge, understanding, or just cause.
Gregg, your letter is full of contradictions. You say you are still searching for the truth, you condemn us as though you know the truth, and then you say, “The God I know would never give people like you the power to Judge others.” Let me tell you that if you knew God, you would know the truth, because He is the Truth. As Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” He happens to be God, and we happen to know Him, and He has indeed given us the power to judge others, by righteous judgment, as He declares in Scripture, “Do not judge after the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”
You, my friend, believe it or not, know it or not, are speaking against God. You better hope otherwise when you say, “I sure hope the God I talk to when I’m alone is not the same as yours” because if you talk to any other god than the One with Whom we fellowship, you are in idolatry and in fellowship with devils, and not far from destruction. Gregg, it is your tongue that is wicked and in dire need of mercy. You speak, yea, blaspheme, as the ignorant fool you are. Repent.
Yes, we are judging others by the words we are given of God to speak, but no man judges us. It is written in the Book, of which you are grossly ignorant, because you have not known the Truth, as you declare:
“But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:15-16).
Yes, we have found the contradictions, as you taunt us to do, and as perhaps you intuitively knew were there to be found. But we are not laughing. On the contrary, we take our business very seriously. It is not only a privilege granted us, but also a solemn duty to perform, and we are thankful and desirous that we perform it as He wills, and as is pleasing to Him. We are His unworthy servants.
As for your laughing at us, calling us “Bible Benders,” I think we have proven that you are the bender here of sacred truth. Beware that the Truth does not bend you, although you will be much better off when He does. Anything will be an improvement. How much more when Truth takes hold and does its work, and it will, I can assure you!
You have asked that we reprint your letter. We certainly hope to do so. You are more than welcome to do so as well, Gregg, although try not to “bend the Bible,” as you have been doing. You will find yourself publishing against God. You don’t want that.
Contending earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3), and knowing whereof we speak, by the grace of God,
Victor
Gregg, Paul here.
You say we bend the Bible, but do not say how. If you knew for certain that we were doing the things of which you accuse us, you would be able to tell us how, and furthermore, you would want to do so. Nothing in fact could stop you because you would be compelled to tell us by a love of truth, being zealous for Him, as we are, wanting to see His every word vindicated on earth, knowing that anything less than this is death for all. If you were searching for truth as you claim to be, you would not make unsubstantiated accusations based on how things appear to you. And most certainly you will not persist in them unless God has determined to destroy you in your sins.
We give you (and have given all others associated with Clark, including John) specifics, with Scriptural admonition, instruction, and direction. You, as our accuser, simply tell us that we are wrong to say what we say. That would not fly in court; how much less in the sight of God? You give us nothing that disproves what we have said. You dismiss us and give us nowhere to go. As hard as our words may be to your uncircumcised ears, there is direction in what we say, instruction with hope, because there is an answer that points the way to God. You provide us with nothing. That is not the way of Jesus Christ, Who came and laid down His life for us!
Now, while you have nothing to say or to give us from God to support your accusations, I do have something from Him to show you the error of your thinking. You speak of hate as if it were always a vile thing. Did you not know God hates, and that His hate is an expression of His Nature, which is love?
“I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies” (Amos 5:21).
His is not a hatred of men, but of men’s sins, which He graciously addresses for the good of all. As He commanded Israel:
“You shall not hate your brother in your heart; you shall certainly reprove your neighbor, and not allow sin on him” (Leviticus 19:17).
Those who profess to believe in Him, yet reject His appearing, remain in their sin and condemnation, because they do not receive reproofs of instruction.
“And Jesus said, I have come into this world for judgment, that they who do not see might see, and that they who see might be made blind. And those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, Are we also blind? Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you would have no sin. But now you say, We see. Therefore your sin remains” (John 9:39-41).
What are the false lovers of God and deniers of Christ, to Him and to those who believe on Him? Here is what He says to the Church (His Body) regarding those who falsely proclaim His Name amongst them:
“If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. The Lord comes!” (1 Corinthians 16:22)
And:
“Surely You will slay the wicked, O God. Depart from me therefore, you bloody men. For they speak against You wickedly, and Your enemies take Your Name in vain. Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate You? and am I not grieved with those that rise up against You? I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them mine enemies” (Psalms 139:19-22).
The saints of God are of one heart and mind with Him, and rejoice in His righteous judgment:
“If I have sharpened My glittering sword, and My hand lays hold on judgment, I will render vengeance to My foes, and I will repay those who hate Me. I will make My arrows drunk with blood, and My sword shall devour flesh, with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the hairy head of the enemy. Rejoice, O nations, of His people; for He shall avenge the blood of His servants, and shall render vengeance to His foes, and shall have mercy on His land and His people” (Deuteronomy 32:41-43).
If you believed your own words, Gregg, you would not pronounce sentence against what we say, and against Him by Whom we say it. You would not trust in your opinion, knowing that you have not come to the truth that is not a matter of opinion. The Bible says that you, going by sight, cannot tell what either hatred or love is:
“For all this I took to heart, even to make all this clear, that the righteous and the wise and their works are in the hand of God. No man knows either love or hatred by all that is before them” (Ecclesiastes 9:1).
We speak to you by the love of God, which by nature comes against the love of man and this world, the same self-righteous and self-serving love by which you and John Clark judge us. That is why you say we hate. We do in fact reject your carnal love, hating it, as it is written:
“But save others with fear, snatching them out of the fire, hating even the garment being stained from the flesh” (Jude 1:23).
In your fleshly and carnal love, you call whitewashing one another’s sins loving your neighbor as yourself. You are not walking in truth or the light. Therefore you are found to be contrary to Him in His appearing and judgment.
How can you people, receiving the praise of one another, love God Who has hard things to say of you? How can you truly love one another? He says that only when you love Him with all your heart, submitting to Him as Lord, can you then love your neighbor. We have told you and your companions that you hate God, and you call us hateful for doing so. You need to look in the mirror to see the vile hatred that is bringing trouble upon yourselves, defiling many. Your love is corrupt, built on your own strength and righteousness. It fails, miserably. His love does not fail. That is how we can yet speak to you, having the victory in Christ, which will be evident to all in due time.
“And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love” (Psalms 109:5).
Hear the Word of God, which heretofore you have despised:
“And You, O Jehovah, the God of Hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the nations; do not be merciful to any plotting evil. Selah. They return at evening; they make a noise like a dog, and go around the city. Behold, they bellow out with their mouth; swords are in their lips; for they say, Who hears? But You, O Jehovah, shall laugh at them; You will mock at all the nations. O my Strength, let me look to You, for God is my strong tower. The God of my mercy shall go before me; God shall let me see my desire on my enemies. Do not kill them, lest my people forget; scatter them by Your power and bring them down, O Jehovah our shield. For the sin of their mouth is the word of their lips, even let them be taken in their pride; and for cursing and the lying which they speak. Consume them in wrath; consume, so that they may not be; and let them know that God rules in Jacob to the ends of the earth. Selah” (Psalms 59:5-13).
“Now, then, be wise, O kings; be taught, O judges of the earth: Serve Jehovah with fear; yea, rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Oh the blessings of all those who flee to Him for refuge!” (Psalms 2:10-12)
Does the “God you know” line up with the God we know, the One expressed here in Scripture? Hardly. You have been deceived by religious fiction. That is why we speak, and that is why you need to repent, big time.
