The Manifest Folly of Religious Peoples in Earthly Matters

Soon after the Lord Jesus Christ called me to be His and to serve and learn of Him and His ways, it was revealed to me that all things are His and are of concern to Him – temporal and spiritual, seen and unseen. The Bible says:

All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being” (John 1:3 MKJV).

Why do they not take a stand on proper conduct in all matters of life?

I began to marvel at how entities, particularly religious organizations professing Christ as Lord and Savior, utterly failed to grasp this simple truth and how they, without exception, were missing such wonderful opportunities to be a powerful influence for good to the whole earth. Take, for example, the Catholic Church. Here are 1.3 billion people who declare the “most holy father” as their head, who claims to be the “sole vicar of Jesus Christ,” having both temporal and spiritual authority on earth. What a powerful influence the Catholic Church could have on major issues of physical life, if those numbers worked as one for good instead of for mere formal religion and membership!

What about the Mormon Church or the Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Baptists, Anglicans, Presbyterians, Episcopalians, Lutherans, Methodists, Jews, WWCG, Reformers, Seventh Day Adventists…the list goes on and on? Why aren’t any of these promoting the physical health of this planet and its inhabitants, human and otherwise? Why are they not actively, collectively, unitedly practicing and promoting organic food and agriculture and alternative natural healthcare, for examples? Why are they not taking a strong stand on proper, healthy conduct in all matters of physical life?

I see Hutterite agricultural communities whose members are perishing with the world because no different than the world. They could be thriving with healthy food, land, animals, plants and bodies, but instead they follow, and are, the world, though they think to be separate from it. While they dress in black, speak German, hold religious services, pay devotion to certain theological doctrines and practices, and maintain a semblance of separation from non-Hutterites, most are no different in their approach to food production and consumption than those who spoil the earth. So they die, with the world, of cancer, heart disease, tragedies, sorrows, and all the ills that come upon anyone not living right in all ways – spiritual, mental and physical. It is disease and death as usual.

There is no neutral ground.

Did Luther smoke? Many Lutherans do. Why do Dutch Reform people support the murderous corporations that promote tobacco, addiction, and crime? Why do “Christians” support and promote evil, killing even their own children by their lifestyles and noxious habits? Why do they use chemicals, destroying creation in the name of modern, efficient agricultural production? Do they not care about seeing soil depleted, insects, birds, trees, and animals dying because of their practices? How blind can one be!

Why do not these so-called Christian groups at least stay on neutral ground? Is it because there is no neutral ground? Jesus said:

“The one who is not with Me is against Me, and the one who does not gather with Me scatters” (Matthew 12:30 MKJV).

And:

“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by its fruit” (Matthew 12:33 MKJV).

These artificial groupings in the Name of Christ are by nature contrary to God, corrupt trees. Jesus did not start a religious organization. Paul rebuked the Corinthians for their sectarian ways (1 Corinthians 3:4). God warns His people to come right out of there:

“And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that you may not be partakers of her sins, and that you may not receive of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4 MKJV).

How can you then avoid the undesirable fruits of living irresponsibly? If you are joined to what is corrupt, you are attracting these plagues. Consider for your life.

Many think mundane matters are of no consequence to God or neighbor.

Does God not care about, or have no wise and useful purpose for all that He has made? The Bible instructs us in attitude and conduct toward all things:

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave where you go” (Ecclesiastes 9:10 MKJV).

One should think that “to do with all our might” means putting everything into it, doing it right. What do we do with all our might? Whatever our hand finds to do. This should include all things, should it not? Solomon also tells us why we should do so. It is because of the soon coming opposite – there will be no opportunity or ability to do anything concerning these earthly matters when we die. Our time of stewardship here will soon be history.

However, I see many hastening both their graves and those of others, not doing things as they ought, thinking mundane matters are of no consequence to God or neighbor. But how can those calling themselves Christians justify themselves in thinking that way? That kind of thinking flies in the face of all that the Bible teaches, specifically and categorically, from Genesis to Revelation. It flies in the face of man and God; it flies in the face of all reason and understanding. It is manifest murderous madness.

It is commonly believed by most, if not all, Christian denominations, communities, and groups that the duty toward God is solely a religious or “spiritual” one, whatever that means. But life on earth is not a matter of fictitious or blind faith, and it is not a matter of religious doctrine and observance of some religious matters. It is a matter of right living and reality in all things.

Only fools and selfish souls ignore and argue against all the evidence.

Here are some of the many practical matters that can be identified wherein religious groups are in gross error because they are of the world and not of the Kingdom of Heaven, Which they presume to represent and serve:

What we eat: I recall one who sought to be a shepherd of God’s people saying it did not matter what one ate; the “Great Chemist,” Jesus Christ within, would take care of it. Presumably he believed that physical food does not matter because it is of this world and for the body, not the soul.

Proper diet does not matter? Nothing could be farther from the truth. If it matters what you put into a car or an electric kettle, or a dog, a cow, or a propane barbecue or furnace, why does it not matter for us?

Read Christian Physical Diet.

Agriculture: When God placed man in the garden to dress and to keep it, He did not provide him with Roundup and 2-4D to control weeds. He did not ordain pesticides for mosquitoes, cabbage butterflies and ants. He did not guide man into destructive inventions like artificial fertilizers and synthetic inputs to increase sizes and yields; He provided what was real and good for all. It is no secret that these concoctions of men have yielded death and disease to all living things. So here we cover agriculture and diet. Only fools and mercenary, selfish souls (who are also fools) would ignore and argue against all the evidence and common sense testifying to this fact.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”

The world (I speak for the West now in particular) worships the medical establishment. Doctors and pharmacists are gods to the masses. They dispense poisons as medications and people simply take their word for it. After all, doctors should know, right? Today, Western medicine is a front for the sorceries of the pharmaceutical industry, a legalized drug trade that literally poisons and slaughters hundreds of thousands, if not millions throughout the world, every year, whether instantly or slowly does not matter. The activity revolves around the dollar at the cost of lives. And Christians of every denomination support this diabolical industry. They are in bed with the Devil, do not know it, and could not care less. And they think themselves to be the Body of Christ? How deluded! How hypocritical!

Yes, doctors have their place. They have helped me tremendously. However, in many areas of treatment, they need to learn much better ways, which have been available all along. They must see through, and separate themselves from, the officialdom of mercenaries, who seek wealth over health. This applies to drugs, chemotherapy, radiation, electric shock treatment, as well as surgery in many areas. Submitting themselves to the alleged wisdom and goodwill of atheistic institutions, “Christians” die like flies along with everyone else. So where is Jesus Christ? He is nowhere to be found because there is no faith to be found in those professing Christ. They not only are as the world; they are the world or, if having any faith at all, are deceived:

“Every man is stupid for lack of knowledge; every refiner is put to shame by the graven image; for his molten image is a lie, and no breath is in them” (Jeremiah 10:14 MKJV).

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I will also forget your sons, even I” (Hosea 4:6 MKJV).

Nominal Christians are exposed, falling far short of their profession of faith.

What about the cosmetics and personal care industries? It is a proven fact that the vast majority of their products are toxic, lethal substances, which people apply to their bodies daily. Little do they know that what goes on their skin goes into their bodies. Or if they know such a thing, many naïvely assume that the government and commercial powers would not market products harmful to one’s health. They are in great error, provably so.

It is also a fact that many professing Christians use them.

Most religious groups think to be pleasing, and in touch with God. Why? Because they read their Bibles? Because they go to church? Because they profess faith in Christ? Because they belong to the “right” denomination? Christian groups even presume to be the Body of Christ, but they are no less vain and no more knowledgeable about earthly things than those professing no faith at all when it comes to hygiene, appearance, and people-pleasing. Indeed, many in the world are “wiser in their generation than the children of light.” There are “New Agers” and people in organizations like Greenpeace who care about the environment, recognizing what the mad, selfish race for power, glory, and money is doing to the whole world, and who are trying to do something about it.

Yes, there are many obvious everyday mundane indicators that expose nominal Christians (as well as proponents of other religions) as falling far short of their profession of faith and presumed favor and agreement with God and His ways. Their “piety” and standard of morality destroy them.

Many professing Christians boast in lawlessness.

What is worse is that they do it in identification with Jesus Christ, bringing ignominy and reproach to Him. So unbelievers say, often only to themselves, “If that is Christianity, I want no part in it. They are all a bunch of hypocrites!” That argument will not excuse these cynics, but of the hypocrites it is written:

“You who boast in Law, do you dishonor God through breaking the Law? For the Name of God is blasphemed among the nations because of you, as it is written. For circumcision truly profits if you keep the Law, but if you are a transgressor of the Law, circumcision becomes uncircumcision” (Romans 2:23-25 MKJV).

However, it has come to a dismal, tragic state of affairs today, wherein I hear many professing Christians who not only do not “boast in Law,” they boast in lawlessness. “The Law is done away! Jesus paid for our sins! We are no longer under the Law; we are free of it! One can never be justified by the works of the Law!” Yet David declared:

“You are good to me, LORD, because I do right, and You reward me because I am innocent. I do what You want and never turn to do evil. I keep Your laws in mind and never look away from Your teachings. I obey You completely and guard against sin. You have been good to me because I do right; You have rewarded me for being innocent by Your standards” (Psalms 18:20-24 CEV).

If righteousness is not by the Law, then what was David talking about? Was he a fool? Was Jesus known as the son of David for nothing? Yes, David knew that righteousness was not by the Law, but, being a true man of faith, he also knew that those who had true faith would love and honor the Law of God (see Psalms 19 and 119, which psalms he, by the Spirit of grace, wrote). This would include all matters and areas of our existence on earth. The tree is known by the fruit.

A Sober, Soul-Saving Consideration

Now I have a question to ask of those who think themselves to be Heavenly minded, the very same question Jesus asked of Nicodemus:

“If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how shall you believe if I tell you Heavenly things?” (John 3:12 MKJV)

“The LORD does not refuse any good thing to those who do what is right.”

If your conduct and attitude concerning lesser things are manifestly destructive and unacceptable to God, how can you possibly be right with Him in the greater matters? As it is written:

“He who is faithful in the least is also faithful in much. And he who is unjust in the least is also unjust in much” (Luke 16:10 MKJV).

If you do not care about the earthly matters, even despising those who do, such as proponents of organic diet and farming, alternative health care, environmentalists, anti-smoking lobbies and others, derisively calling them all sorts of contemptuosities, how can you possibly think you are right with God? It is simply delusion.

You need to repent of your irresponsible, ignorant ways and particularly of hypocrisy, using God’s Name in vain as you deceitfully worship Him with your lips, for which you are not held guiltless. How can it possibly go well for you unless you repent? Is it any wonder you suffer all the ravages of the earth, being one with the world in all your ways and, added to that, thinking yourselves to be better in God’s sight? Think again!

Read Is Your Profession of Faith Vain, Christian?

Why are you ill, wanting in necessities of life, tormented, fearful, desperate, besieged without victory, and deprived? Why are you and your family not living in the realm of this promise from God?:

“The LORD is our protector and glorious King, blessing us with kindness and honor. He does not refuse any good thing to those who do what is right. LORD Almighty, how happy are those who trust in You!” (Psalms 84:11-12 GNB)

Why do you perish in your faith? Hear what God says:

“If you will listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what He considers right, if you pay attention to His commands and obey all His laws, I will never make you suffer any of the diseases I made the Egyptians suffer, because I am the LORD, Who heals you” (Exodus 15:26 GW).

Whom do you serve, “Christian”? One can easily tell by the wages earned. Jesus declared:

“A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came so that My sheep will have life and so that they will have everything they need” (John 10:10 GW).

So how do you get out of the mess you are in? Here is the answer in a nutshell:

“If My people, on whom My Name is named, make themselves low and come to Me in prayer, searching for Me and turning from their evil ways; then I will give ear from Heaven, overlooking their sin, and will give life again to their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14 BBE).

Make all the excuses you will, like, “That promise was only for the Jews,” or, “That is the Old Covenant,” or, “I believe, and the troubles I have are because Satan is angry with me because I am a Christian,” or, “My faith is being tested,” justifying yourself. With your excuses and rationalizations, which the enemy feeds you by your imaginations or by friends, family and spiritual leaders, you will continue in your loss, defeat, failure, suffering and sorrow until you are utterly destroyed. God’s wages are faithful and so are Satan’s. Hear Joshua’s earnest, glorious words:

“Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve the LORD. And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:14-15 KJV).

Oh, enlightened ones! If you have more light than that of Old Testament people of faith, how is it they prospered when believing and obeying God, while you perish in your supposed faith? And how is it that those who did not believe in those days perished? What is the difference between them and you?
