Truth is Lethal

Most often, whatever the reason, we don’t receive a response from those we’ve answered. Reasons can be several. There can be fear, pride, contempt, lack of attention to what we’re saying, insecurity, losing favor with their family, friends, and religious companions. Doubt and confusion may arise when Light enters and begins to disperse the darkness.

Some may think there’s no use trying to talk to us stubborn and deluded folk, or they have no answers to what we say, even though they insist on retaining their beliefs, or they’re stopped in their tracks realizing their beliefs aren’t as sound as they assumed. Or somebody has jerked their leash and hauled them back within their confines to prevent further exposure to threatening opposition of Truth.

Think of the parable of the sower.

Truth is lethal, very dangerous to error, darkness, and lies. God doesn’t send out His Word without success; it doesn’t happen. When the enemy loses hope of capturing another soul, they retreat to safer places.

Isn’t it ironic that at the incidence of any light, people retreat to darkness as though it gives them some security when the last place to go is to darkness where certain destruction patiently awaits to devour and enslave? That’s the reality of the interplay of good and evil, all under God’s Sovereign Hand, ultimately working for good and for His Glory.
