Women Dressing Modest

“In the same way also, I desire that women adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and sensibleness, not adorned with braiding, or gold, or pearls, or costly clothing, but with good works, which becomes women professing godliness.” (1 Timothy 2:9-10 MKJV)

In the comments of the video YOUR Sin Is the Problem; YOUR Death and Resurrection in Jesus Christ the Solution., a woman asked the following question:

Can you dedicate a video on how are we supposed to dressed and if that really matters to God. Any rules for women, accessories ok?

Victor’s reply:

Dress modestly so as to not be provocative, suggestive, sexually enticing to men, as prostitutes or women “on the make” try to be, but dress as a female. Peter and I speak of humility, meekness, sobriety, honesty, goodwill and good attitude, cleanliness of body, soul, and spirit.

A bit of organic facial make-up is okay but nothing gaudy, unnatural, or pretentious; put away all toxic substances. Usually, if you’re living healthy with godliness, good nutrition, hygiene, and a positive attitude, you’ll look better without make-up, which is really the attempt of a person to improve on what God has made, designed, and perfected.

Accessories are nice; again, be modest and pure about them. Above all, God prefers holiness over appearances; He looks at the heart, not the body, and when the heart is right, the face and body show it like make-up never can.
