The Trinity and Hell

Hi,

I am trying to fathom, what the problem is with the Godhead being referred to as the trinity or Triune God.

I am a triune creature, as far as I can understand.

I have a body a mind and a spirit, therefore I am 3 (parts) not persons, but still one and the same person.

Remove my body and I still have a mind and spirit, and still am me.

I believe an egg to be three in one, as in, it has a shell,a yolk and the white.
If I remove the white, it is still an egg.
I don’t call an egg, eggs, because of an egg having three components to it. (Not counting the oxygen and microbes, microscopic organisms and bacteria etc, which are also present, but hidden from our eyes.
However, an egg still has to include the three parts which are in unity with each other.

If I were to send the yolk of an egg to America, the white and the shell would still be referred to as the egg, here in Australia, not as one of the eggs. The egg which is temporarily or permanently, without the yolk, is three parts in one, but all essential to and belonging to the other,to be called one egg.

It is another situation with a fertilized egg,as there is a massive change as a chick develops, yet still it is considered to be AN egg, but all the parts are acknowledged and affirmed.

They are one and the same egg, able to be separated if we so desire, or left alone, it still remains as the egg.

I don’t believe most people see the triune God as being three separate and different individuals, and are therefore worshipping or endorsing three gods.

The Lord Jesus Christ Himself, prayed to the Father in John 17 : 1- 26.
How would it have looked if He had prayed to Himself, referring to Himself and praying, Lord Jesus the hour has come?
Just because Stephen prayed to the Lord Jesus, doesn’t mean it is wrong to be praying to the Father, ( Almighty God) instead of Christ.

I once prayed in great urgency and distress, and asked the Holy Spirit to comfort me.
His reply and comfort was immediate.
That was just a one off situation, and yet the Lord heard my prayer and answered.

Do you believe that it is wrong to pray to the Father, in Christ’s name?
Knowing that The Father and the Son are One with the Spirit included?
Also, I am interested in your beliefs about eternal damnation.
Do you teach and believe, that even the most evil of lost souls who reject Christ, are not going into eternal damnation? That eventually God will change His mind and rescue them after all?

Revelation 21 : 8   The word of the Lord says that, there is the second death in the lake which burns with fire.
Jude 6 God’s word says everlasting chains, until the judgement day. But everlasting means exactly that.
Matthew 25 : 30 The Lord Jesus says there are those who will be cast into outer darkness where they will be weeping and gnashing their teeth. Also, Matthew 25 : 46 There are those who will go into everlasting punishment, but the righteous will have everlasting life.
Surely everlasting death and hell are permanent.

The mormons believe that everyone will be safe because God, or rather, their god, wouldn’t destroy his creation.
( heavenly father) as they call him, will let everyone do as they please and still save them.
Are you saying there will be no eternally damned souls?

Just trying to ponder on the Lord’s Truth, and entrust myself into His Faithful and True, hands.
Darwin Fish, is trying to tell me I am lost, but then he is not my Lord and my God,as Jesus Christ alone, is.

Cheers,
Cathy.

Hi Cathy,

We need to know the truth from God and until we do, we can’t put stock in our own conception of things pertaining to Him. We need revelation of Him through Jesus Christ, Who is the Truth. Then there is no guessing or deviation.

You say: “I have a body a mind and a spirit, therefore I am 3 (parts) not persons, but still one and the same person.

If you go to the store, does your mind and spirit go with you, or do your “parts” operate independently, as Trinitarians claim of God?

Can your mind leave your body and go mow the lawn while you’re shopping for clothes? Can your spirit get in the car and drive to your parent’s house while you’re talking to the sales clerk?

“… because man goes to his long home… ; then the dust shall return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God Who gave it” (Ecclesiastes 12:5-7 MKJV).

No, you’re not a trinity like the nonsensical trinity doctrine declares of the One True God, claiming He is composed of three independent entities.

As for your other example, it’s also doesn’t work. If you’ve eaten an egg white, have you also eaten the yolk? No. But those who eat the Lord’s flesh and drink His blood receive the fullness of God, with nothing missing

John 16:13-15 ESV
(13)  When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth, for He will not speak on His Own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come.
(14)  He will glorify Me, for He will take what is Mine and declare it to you.
(15)  All that the Father has is Mine; therefore I said that He will take what is Mine and declare it to you.

This doesn’t translate into, “He who has eaten an egg yolk has also eaten the egg white,” but rather, “He who eats the egg gets everything.”

“Jesus said to him, Have I been with you such a long time and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father. And how do you say, Show us the Father?” (John 14:9 MKJV)

You say: “I don’t believe most people see the triune God as being three separate and different individuals, and are therefore worshipping or endorsing three gods.

Most professing Christians aren’t believing or seeing the One True God at all, but worship other gods in His Name. Therefore, what they’re seeing as God comes from their own minds and other men’s conceptions. The explanations they give are theoretical, contradictory and nonsensical, as we show in The Asininity of the Trinity

It’s a fool’s errand trying to follow men’s notions of God – “Lest you should meditate on the path of life, her tracks are movable; you cannot know them” (Proverbs 5:6 MKJV).

You have objections about Jesus being God such as, “How can God pray to Himself,” and so forth. We answer these objections throughout our sections Jesus Christ Is God and The Trinity, but particularly in The Perfecting Faith of the Son of God.

You say: “I once prayed in great urgency and distress, and asked the Holy Spirit to comfort me. His reply and comfort was immediate. That was just a one off situation, and yet the Lord heard my prayer and answered.

Don’t you hear what you’re saying? You asked the Holy Spirit to comfort you and the Lord heard your prayer and answered you. The Lord is the Spirit, and the Spirit is the Lord – He is one God! God hears the heart of those who call on Him by faith, and doesn’t turn away those who are confused or temporarily misled by men’s diabolical doctrines, often taught from birth.

When the Lord shepherds souls, bringing them into the light and truth, understanding follows faith and obedience. How could it be otherwise?

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth), proving what is acceptable to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:8-10 MKJV).

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I did not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth” (1 John 2:20-21 EMTV).

1 Corinthians 2:9-16 MKJV
(9)  But as it is written, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,” nor has it entered into the heart of man, “the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
(10)  But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.
(11)  For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of man within him? So also no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
(12)  But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God.
(13)  These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
(14)  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
(15)  But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one.
(16)  For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.

You’ve asked us about Prayer and how it should be done. The link answers your question.

Also, I am interested in your beliefs about eternal damnation. Do you teach and believe, that even the most evil of lost souls who reject Christ, are not going into eternal damnation? That eventually God will change His mind and rescue them after all?

God won’t change His mind, because it was His intended work from the start to perfect His creation, never otherwise.

Romans 8:19-21 ESV
(19)  For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.
(20)  For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope
(21)  that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

You speak of the most evil souls who’ve rejected Christ. Who hasn’t rejected Him?

Isaiah 53:1-6 ESV
(1)  Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
(2)  For He grew up before Him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He had no form or majesty that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him.
(3)  He was despised and rejected by men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.
(4)  Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
(5)  But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed.
(6)  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned–every one–to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Do you believe you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, or has He saved you?
